MEH, on so many levels. Insipid, shoegazer rock, washed out and desaturated visuals in a kind of 8mm 'travelogue' style meant to evoke a vague feeling of 'nostalgia'. Fluffy clouds and countryside and smiley, happy people all there to sell a f*cking car. There's really no need to show you the car, the implication of the motion is that you are driving it already.

I like the music and the hip people who watch the car go by, but ultimately I think the beetle's look awful... They're too bubbly. The ones from the 60's and 70's were a different story, but the "new beetle's" are like artists trying to re-make songs like "Stairway to Heaven"--it'll never be the original.

It's great because this commercial has "抑制"、I don't know how do I say in English. This ad is uncommercial comercial, They don't show their car, and I feel "品"="class" in this point.

And also this commercial shows "what is human being" ,is "Animal that likes something new " and this habit makes all civilization in this world. I feel optimistic feeling for future from this ad.This ad is a song in praise of human being. So this is the best commercial in the world ,I think.
