The tacho on the right is probably from the Passat B5fl, so unless it was swapped, there is no possibility, that it is equipped with 170hp 2.0TDI.

TDI in B5's were: 1.9L 90-130hp or 2.5L V6 - 150HP.

The only 2.0 TDI in late B5fl's were early, 8 valve engines, which had 136hp.

The only question here is: was the engine swapped. If not, the VW has less power, and still goes almost the same as 170hp Opel.

The passat is much much heavier than the astra , the astra is a fucked up little car and the passat is really big in germany a lot of families have it ;D so its not a fair comparison and yes , PASSAT 4Ever ;D

@mazinais31 Why does opel suck? Because its petrol and its not much faster? Diesel should be faster here actually, because they both have 170 PS, but diesel has much more torque.
