  • I think I will make this for dinner tonight, but gonna use a slow cooker cause I like my pork to just melt in my mouth. Thank you for sharing your cooking experiences. I'm from Laos but never really learned to cook because my parents always did it for us. Now I'm starting to learn.

  • I love this, looks like my mother use to make when I was a child.

  • ขาหมู+ไข่พะโล้

    like++

  • amgg i love thom kem ftwwwww wooooooot

  • I got some at home made right now!

  • Can I use slow cooker?

  • making this today for dinner

  • @honeydippedkisses1 .....turned out wonderful

  • Lao people make it in a similiar way. I personally don't like the taste. I feel that it is overly seasoned. The black soy sauce dominates the whole pot.

  • my mom make this all the time and it's so good. if u never had it u should try it.

  • im viet n i love this stuff

  • Mr eggs muslim-meal lol, pork-boil-salt, never heard that before actually.

  • what pork is it

  • that was no were NEAR a cup of soy sauce

  • how many servings does this make?

  • I had this in Ao Nang near Krabi and was looking for this vid.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for posting the recipe. My mom made this for me when I was a kid growing up. I've been craving it for the last few days and you make it seem so easy to make! I'm going to try making it today. Thanks!

  • I LOVE THIS MEAL!

  • I have seen your videos about making Thai dishes. Where did you get the recipes or learned how to make them? I really appreciate you helping promote Thai dishes. However, as I'm Thai, your recipes are not exactly what most Thais use. For example, for this dish we don't use ginger. We use minced garlic+ black or white pepper+ cilantro roots. We fry them first in oil and add other ingredients. We call this dish "Khai PaLo".

  • We Khmer, Lao, Vietnam and Thai had this soup, in different names for it and you what it all teats the same. Khop Kun mak lai

  • My most favorite Thai recipe ever i make this for the wife all the time its the perfect comfort food for the family

  • This is the real deal! A great recipe, I added some garlic and a pig's ear into the mix for some crunch!

    *****

  • @sorrypete Good idea. I'm going to add garlic and pig ear next time!

  • love this dish!can i add shitake mushroom? and which black soy sauce do you use?sweet dark soy sauce or normal one?thank you for sharing this video.:-)

  • moo tom khem is not moo pa loe,it is without the Paloe. for your info. similar but not.

  • one of my fav dishes, except my mom doesn't use ginger. I haven't had this in years! Im gonna make it for my family to eat, except we dont eat pork any more! Guess Im substituting for chicken--should still come out good tho.

  • my mom does it with both and its good with both. we dont garnish it with anything. i think the word ERROR is kinda too harsh, i think he does it differently. Or you know sometimes the same dish can be made differently. but its true the eggs are suppose to be brown =). taste so good when they`re infused. makes me hungry.

  • yep you can use either or both =D

  • its realli good

    u guys should try it

  • This went over VERY well for dinner this evening!

  • Thanks.. now i can cook pork

  • for the love of God its just food stuff ur mouth and stop the hate

  • No doubt, lets go out for some lunch now, homey!

  • thats just a tini bit racist there fella

  • i watched almost all your video's i love them

  • ...LOL! and you're from Ireland, what a sad little dirty-irish doing here? What a f-up country, go and eat your lucky charm...dam leprechaun.

  • I was responding to loveuyvonne, but it seem that most irish do act and sound the same...for example, just look at your lame irish respond. You can either watch the video or f**k off.

  • @kaox44 yeah the potato eating muva fuckas

  • You're a fool.

  • comment|| i love it; when my aunty make it;

gosh it's the best. when i go over to visit

and she makes them, damn it's like "how

did you know i was coming?" lol. i love it.

  • Why call it moo? I do not see any cows.

  • Moo is pork.

  • racist

  • Why did you watch it then?

  • ltkman your one of the best!!! keep up the goodworks

  • We have a chinese kind of that

    except we don't use pork

we use some sort of things similar to pork...

    i love the egg.

  • i am so hungry now

  • 5 stars again

  • yum! though instead of white sugar my mom puts palm sugar.

  • Looking like to be an amazing recipe, your videos are really cool, thanks for putting them =)

  • This is so delicious!! I've been trying to find this recipe. Thanks Kai!! You are the best!!

  • MUCH THX! I've been looking for something similar to this. I added a little bit more sugar and fish sauce. The star anise in the five-spice was a bit strong for me, so next time I will have to put a bit less. I put in short beef ribs instead of pork meat. I also added bamboo and eggs 10 mins before cooked because I don't like the egg white to be a bit chewy or hard.

  • I really like the idea of beef short ribs...thanks.

  • OMG i luv this dish!!..but my aunt tends to add more stuff..i luv it sweet.and wi alot of egss..=)

  • I'm a bit confused, at the beginning you said Kai pa low, but then at the end you said moo tom khem? which is it

  • Omg, now that what I called a pork stew. This is gonna be an awesome dish, once I get my hands on it.

  • I remember eating this as a kid! Thanks so much for posting, I'll look forward to eating this.

  • Ugh... This is SO good. My mom makes this once in a while.

  • I love this dish! I remembered my mom used to make it every week for me and my siblings when we were kids. But everytime I ate it I got sick and we didn't know why. To find out later that I'm allergic to uncured pork meat! Hehehe...How ironic! Alot of Lao and Thai food use pork.

  • Did you remember to peel the eggs it just look like they didn't got peeled

  • I was so excited when I saw your videos. Thanks so much for posting them, they have helped me a lot when I cook for husband's family.

Can you do a video on how to make Bunh kuan and bunh seow. I'm sorry if I didn't spell it correctly. Thanks!

  • wow... so that's how you make this... i've always wondered how to make this... now i finally know...

  • Its called Sighte Caw. for the meat ver son and truh-ee caw

  • I know the eggs are hard boiled, but do you leave the shell on? or take them off during cooking??

  • Take out the shell.....Thank you for watching!..

    KAI.

  • yum yum very good recipe and so delicious

  • thanks!! the vietnamese version is called thit kho and is a new year's dish. i love cooking it and i use belly pork! yum!!

  • What if you doing have five spice powder can you do without it?

  • Yes!. You can add in 5-6 star anise, and 1 tbsp dark soy or black soy.

  • @ltkman I remember my mom putting a Jalapeno in it for spice/bite. Is this traditional?

  • @cliffcox66 I don't think so. I think it's popular with children because it is traditionally not spicy.

  • How long did you let the pork cook for in the wok?

  • 2-3 minutes..It's depend on the heat you're setting!..Medium high heat is good=375*-400*(degree)

  • yummy !

  • very interesting

  • HOLY **** SO TASTY!

  • This is the greatest recipe you have posted yet!!!

    Looks so delicious!!
