Absolutely beautiful song. Wonderful relaxed style, perfect harmony, Susan Taylor sings with perfect pitch and enunciation, and has the voice of an angel.
Their voices were so wonderfully connected...they made beautiful music...still have all the "records", and trying to find good cd's of them. When Taylor Pie sings this song today, I don't hear the mellowness of her 60's version. I could play their songs all the time...love them!

What you call mellowness is probably Susan Taylor's 18 year old voice in 1966. Taylor Pie still has a nice, strong voice, sings with a nice country, bluesy style, and she has some very good cd's out, but you cannot sound like you're 18 years old when you are in your 60s.
So sorry...but Susan...Don...Lofton...etc. sing way to well to make it in today's world of cr**...their songs were good...their arrangements good...singers and musicians instead of yellers and noisicians...Good Lord!...please bring back MUSIC!!!
Back in the 60's they would Play for free on a summer evening at the skate park on the T-Head. Beautiful memory and heavenly voice. Thank you for sharing your talent.
This is what I call MUSIC - beautiful folk/ballad style that soothes one after a long day. I did have their LP years ago, also containing songs such as the Renegade, Gypsy Girl, You Ain't going Nowhere, Good Morning Today and a host of others - each so indescribably lovely!!!
...I was in Navy flight training at NAS Kingsville, and when I heard Susan Taylor singing this song up in Corpus Chisti....I was smitten...and I still am...lovely...!!
I agree with all the comments - wonderful tune, nicely uploaded. Thank you! I remember this song from my childhood and welcome the chance to go back and think about it.
This is really a beautiful song - from 1966 My H.S. Graduation year...It transported me back there, brought tears to my eyes...made me lonesome,,,,and lonely.
This is one of my favourite Pozo Seco numbers - I used to sing "folk" in my day, and 'I'll be gone" was always in my repertoire, along with "Gipsy Girl."
Ah, those WERE the days when I was still a youngster. Now, in my seventies I can only reminisce...
The lead vocal is done by Taylor Pie (aka Susan Taylor) Taylor Pie is still writing, singing and performing. Search Taylor Pie here on YouTube and you'll see some really great performances in the studio and on stage. You can hear more of her music on CDBaby. A truly great folk talent that made the Pozo's so successful and loved.
Real fine. Don Williams has had a great, great run. His music has sure made my life better over all these years. Thank you for posting this. The World can use more of this easy-going music right now.
I picked up these guys the moment they hit the scene! Smooth singers,,smooth music..A favorite group of mine.
