People sing in church for God's WORSHIP, not to preach the gospel... we all know how powerful music is, so how come God never let any1 use it to minister in the bible? It's cus it can confuse the mind. Especially when people look like thugs but sing like dey saved. Saved folk are supposed to be dead to the world and live for Christ. Look at his pants down his legs; u can't seperate him from other Hip Hop artists. Havin ur pants down aint a sin, its a statement.
This music can help change people's mindset and it is by far better than underground and other forms of rap. It has a positive message and can play an important role as a bridge to reach people in communities the church is unable to reach. There are some arguing this music ain't holy enough or it is close to secular, but the genre label is likely bringing more people to become interested in the Kingdom. Complainers here are terrible for doing it where it isn't needed. If you don't like it leave.
1) This weak rap aint changing no one's mindset. God has never used music to minister to his people or sinners.
2) This isn't correctly reaching the places the church can't reach. Jesus fellowshipped with sinners but NEVER imitated them or acted like them. This guy has his pants halfway down his legs, talking about holy things?
3) This music ISN'T holy at all. He's not worshiping God. Listen to it. He shouldn't even be referring to himself as an example while he looks just like the world.

He makes an acceptable outfit into the attire of a thug by wearing his pants low like gangsters do. The image he portrays doesn't match the message he is rapping; it matches the requirements that Hip hop typically tends to demand. God teaches us discernment; we can't expect baby Christians to discern when we look like the world.

honestly, people who bash hip-hop can not see a ministry that is thriving. If God cant turn anything the devil has made or is in the world for his ministry, then we do not serve the God of the bible. This music can help change people's mindset and it is by far better than underground and other forms of rap. It has a positive message and can play an important role as a bridge to reach people in communities the church is unable to reach. There are some arguing this music ain't holy enough or it is close to secular, but the genre label is likely bringing more people to become interested in the Kingdom. Complainers here are terrible for doing it where it isn't needed. If you don't like it leave.

1) This weak rap aint changing no one's mindset. God has never used music to minister to his people or sinners.
2) This isn't correctly reaching the places the church can't reach. Jesus fellowshipped with sinners but NEVER imitated them or acted like them. This guy has his pants halfway down his legs, talking about holy things?
3) This music ISN'T holy at all. He's not worshiping God. Listen to it. He shouldn't even be referring to himself as an example while he looks just like the world.

@cheesypasta Christ doesn't say what clothes to wear, but Hip hop does. I wouldn't have a problem wearing what he wears; I have a problem with the way he's wearing it. He makes an acceptable outfit into the attire of a thug by wearing his pants low like gangsters do. The image he portrays doesn't match the message he is rapping; it matches the requirements that Hip hop typically tends to demand. God teaches us discernment; we can't expect baby Christians to discern when we look like the world.
