Dont get my words twisted. I agree, the man is amzing, but this would be a great year to step down and leave on top...like he deserves. Part of the reason we lost some of the recruits we did is in part due to their uncertainty of whether or not he will be there or not. Im a premium member on recruiting services and can tell you that this is true. The man is a stalwart, but at that age you just never know. Im sorry, but as a fan, he should step down. His health does not allow him to be able to say with certainty to recruits that he will be there for their 4 years. Also, 2008 is Joe's last great team. This would be a great year to go out on top and have him get the proper send-off.

Sure there have been some disciplinary issues with a few players this year and Paterno handled each one of them fairly and some say even stronger than other programs would have. It would have been DISHONORABLE to play those offenders regardless of their actions like some other D I-A teams have done. All our teams have players who make mistakes, how they handle them depends on whether you play with honor.
