It certainly is a form of art and the angles of it are steeped in Africa. I don't wear my hair this way but I don't feel the need to insult those who do. The stylist is very talented.

What a real stylists knows it that if you dont have the basic technique down you cant just jump into something else and it look professional. Maybe a kitchen do or whatever you like. But a real stylist knows get the basics and you can create whatever. I applaud Contagious for showing the basics so when those pesky clients come in wanting their hair to perform (LOL) you have the basics along with your creativity to create whateva!!! You will mostly see eccentric styles such as these being created in hair shows and hair competitions. But at the end of the day, it is a personal choice if one wants to wear this as an everyday style.
