It is truly an amazing piece of equipment. I myself have installed and flown 6 of theses systems. The G500 makes more sense or those with aircraft under 6000 pounds. The addition of synthetic vision is a nice touch for the g500..but not at all needed. The new GTN series works flawlessly with the g5/600 series and is a much needed update to the gns series radios. I could go on and on about Garmin equipment..any questions..ask me. My info is free..my work..is not.
