you mean a mile is bigger than a kilometer -_- if 1 mile = 1.5 km, that means that to make 1 mile, you must have more than 1 kilometer, so, a mile is bigger. other example, 1 kilometer = 0. 5 or something, that means that about half a mile = to 1 kilometer, so, a mile is bigger

Actually, (and I know because I am am greek) The word kilometer comes from the greek words xilia and metro. Xilia means one thousand and metro means meter. Like kilogram = a thousand grams. A mile = 1.6 kilometers.
