Jimi Child. You are a talent. Have always loved this tune, the one song on that soundtrack that truly had soul. You have done this song justice and inspired me to pick up the acoustic again. You are a legend, thankyou.
@sethmccready I don't know how I deserve such a compliment, however I will take it in stride with all of the other "goodies" and "baddies" throughout life...thanks a bunch my friend...I think it's the simple existence of this song that makes any rendition of it listenable... I'm glad that it has inspired you to pick up the strings again..and thanks a thousand times for the encouraging words
absolutley beautiful!,Have you thought of doing a better studio recording of this.It is defianetly the nicest rendition i have heard.Excellent skills with the guitar.
@warlockborn1031 wow!! in no way do i deserve that comment...and i wouldn't dream of doing it in a studio....i do appreciate the comment the comment a lot though...thanks
That was really good. You injected the right amount of feeling that this song deserves. Now if only you had attached the back end Pt. II of the Fire Suite as well.
@Taintgun don' think I deserve that compliment but I will accept it....I'm you approached this rendition with an open mind...would be so easy to atack it negatively...so thanks a mega-ton
@cafferty79 i don't know about that compliment but, we are in total agreement when it comes to that song....I LOve it So MUch!!!...I'm sure I've listened to it more than any other song...It's cool as heck to meet someone that feels the same way...
Y'know, one of the aspects of Cafferty's tunes is his deep raspy voice. It's very strong. I gotta say though, you definitely did this song justice! Good stuff m'man!
@JuniorBruce wow that's awesome!!! Cafferty does have a distinctly strong voice...I played this song because its one of my favorite songs...and its crazy that some people can actually tolerate this unique version I posted because it's light years away from the original.....however, it does make me smile so thanks for the comment
@jraehol i think you are right...i don't know completely understand how anyone could actually appreciate these covers of Cafferty's songs i've done but I am grateful that there has been more positive feedback than negative feedback.....thanks a over and over for the comment
Great version, but where's the back half of the song? The "Can you see the light, can you hear the sound, can't you hear the song bird's sound hanging 'round" part?
I like the cover your doing. I have been since my dad showed me the movie . I when and saw John Cafferty live in Rhinebeck ,NY and got to meet him in person. It was alsome.
hey i'm glad u could dig it man...Cafferty is awesome...i changed the song around a little bit and didn't know how people would respond but, thanks for the comment....
i think that you are being a bit too kind, however, I will accept your words as if they were blessed upon me by the Holy Mother herself....thank you so much
hey thanks for the comment...i don't know if it deserved that but, Cafferty's vocals on "tender Years" is out a sight...i don't think i could pull it off....Open Road is a possibility...i'm glad you could dig "season in hell" though...its a fantastic song
I have been into Cafferty heavily this year. And I have listened to a lot of the classics my whole life. Cafferty is highly underrated. His voice is incredible... it is a shame Springsteen is the better known artist for that NJ sound. Good job, in covering it, and I am even more impressed that I'm not the only one who digs this song..lol... Any others from Cafferty you recommend?
yeah man, this is a heck of a song to listen to and absorb i think...i could refer to more of his classic songs but this song alone speaks volumes for Cafferty's talent,,,he is simpky amazing....i'm so glad you appreciate his talent as well because he was and still is extremely underrated...thanks for the comment
