the Hope Mission Van helped me alot for nearly 2 years on Whyte Ave in Edmonton. Brought clean dry socks and lunches. Thank God for people like you. Thank you.
You see all those people sleeping outside? It's likely because the "Hope mission" refused them a place to stay for one reason or another. You wouldn't think it would be so difficult to stay at a shelter, but that place is run like a god damned nazi camp.
The only thing redeeming that miserable organization is the meals they provide. But even then, it's only for men, so you're SOL if you're a woman.
@truantw16 l used to do volunteer work there and yes l've seen staff working at night just itching to get in a fight with people coming in at the Hope to sleep on a mat and yes l've seen them beat some of the homeless sometimes,but they are not all like that,some really try to be the best christians they can...the only thing l dont really like is that people are under the impression that when they drop off clothes at the Hope mission that it is going to the homeless,no it goes to the HM store.
