You use so much water while throwing. Are you successful because you are so quick in the completion of your piece? I find using so much water makes my piece become a soaked sloppy mess by the time it should be finished. I get fed up and throw it in the slop pail.
Hello, It looks so easy when you do it ! I'm looking for the grips you use under the pots, could you give me an adress, I don't find that in france, and I really want to use them. Thank you
I'm pretty sure you can't just go and copy someone's work exactly. Granted forms, and functional pottery are going to be alike, you still cannot copy them exactly.
Thanks, DirtKicker! Sometimes the truth hurts!. I watch Simon pump out pot after pot after pot all the same and it's discouraging, but I'm not a production potter so what would I do with 20 of the same thing??? My house is already full of pots and all my family has all they can handle. :o)
I hear Wonderwall playing in thebackground :)

What kind of tool do you use to trim your pieces? You make it look so easy!

Just various home made tools.
If you keep 'em sharp it makes the job a lot easier.

Thank you , You keep your work so beautifully simple, where most of us complicate the hell out of throwing a pot. Thank God you are self-taught.

Groene07, that's for the scumbag lawyers to sort out. I don't have to worry about that because I can't even copy MY OWN WORK EXACTLY!!!!!! :O)
