  • Really great playing! It would be good to see you playing some blast beat type music too. Hate Eternal perhaps?

  • INSANE!! great job dude!

  • I have no other words to say other than AWESOME,ASTONISHING!!!

  • Do you have slight elbow problems in your right arm? Like in your joint sometimes? lol

  • i like your drum videos, but for covers, i would prefer that you hard pan your performance to left or right and the actual song to the other side... so we can hear each thing better.... and also you can pan to your performance alone... because, in my opinion, when you do it this way... the performance kinds of blends with the actual song and you can't aprecciatte the cover properly. anyway, i like your vids and channel.

  • @andyvicius hey mate, i appreciate your opinion. firstly this was one of the first covers i ever put on youtube so the drums weren't even recorded other than what came into the camera. check the first link in the description (i re did this medley properly). I mixed the track and my drums together to capture the performance in its entirety. Im in the process now of offering a 'drums only' video of all my covers.

  • @wrightdrums thanks for answering. yes mate, i understand.

great news mate! i'll be looking foward to those vids!

  • it's 18 china or 16" ?

  • @09TURIS 16 mate, check out the second version of this medley... i have a 19 paragon :) did an animals as leaders tune today with a 19 holy china as well

  • Have the same Stagg cymbals in a stack, a satisfiying enough sound that doesnt break the bank.

  • By far one of the best drumcovers out there and a good medley in general!

    Thanks ;)

  • What kind of snare do you use bro?

  • You do really have a good sense of rhytm and feeling while playing!

  • 1:48. thats some intesne shit man!

  • @ImaFez haha thanks mate check out the new version if you get a chance... the sound on this one is shitttttttttt

  • i didnt know nick lachey was a drummer and liked meshuggah

  • En los toms usas Evans EC2? Suenan bien? Gracias!

  • Dude that was really awesome!! Great job!

  • You're a Fantastic drummer but you look like a douche. Like, Look what I can do and not Listen to what I can do.. I still Love the fact that you actually keep those accents moving. Best Meshuggah covers!

  • Badass!

  • Out of all the Meshuggah drum covers I've seen, you are by far the best! Keep the videos coming!

  • ok I'm going to watch you rnew vids since I didn't read hte desc.

  • Next time turn your drums up way louder.

  • 8:40 - Ah the joy of having many cymbals. You play these songs with so much ease, it's so inspiring to watch!

  • Holy holy shit. Great job!

  • You missed all the ghosted snare hits :P Still an awesome cover

  • synchronised cymbal crash at 3:00 is awesome :)

  • Fuck me this is the best thing i've ever seen, and I've seen tits

  • Great job man!

  • Great work Tony, would you dare to try any more medley's??? I'd totally recommend you to try it with Textures album "Drawing circles" or "Silhouettes". Anyways, I love this video ;)

  • @2WinGs2 Choasphere album medley recording tonight!

  • @wrightdrums Oooooohhhh maaann.... f*ck yeah!! Looking forward to see it!! ;)

  • im stunned, its such an amazing performance, the way you fucking beautifully slammed through the ending of straws just rendered me staring jaw dropped! a true masterpiece, a true drumming god. all there is to it

  • going from spasm into rational gaze was perfect... right on

  • holy shit. words cannot describe how incredibly talented you are.

  • I dont think i can get enough of ppl covering meshuggah on drums

  • Jeez. Nice.

  • SICK SICK video sir! How is your snare tuned? is it tuned pretty tight? It sounds great!

  • Love the groove at 7:47. Good job dude :)

  • I think you could have the patient to cover ''I''

  • @nuppe10 thanks for the optimism... i've already charted 'i'. it was quite challenging because none of the patterns repeat like usual meshuggah material. i'm going to get some other vids up before i 'try' and play 'i' :P

  • @nuppe10 YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Awesome Spasm !!!

    Awesome all dude

  • WOW I'm impressed with anyone who can cover Thomas Haake's drum parts. You must have a firm grasp on rhythmic theory!

  • I think almost every positive comment on this is an understatement. It is one thing to play what Haake can play. But it is another to FUSE his amazing skills and be able to play them all PERFECTLY. This should have millions of views because I think this is such an amazing achievement in drumming HISTORY. Absolutelyfuckingbrilliant.

  • @Oli4drums comments like this make the practice and work all worth while. thanks for the kind words mate... will have more videos up here shortly. cheers

  • @wrightdrums Dude why are your Cymbals so high? im not saying theres anything wrong with that it just looks funny

  • hey troy im going to hunt you down on wedesday

  • @prototype496 Ok mate. Lucky i'm your drum teacher and not your English teacher.... Wednesday has an 'n' last time i checked :p

  • :O u kick major ass

  • That outro part is my favorite part buy far. And you play it so flowy and it sounds like a really good jam beat to kick it to.

The ghost notes everywhere are awesome, reminds me of John Bonham style alot!

  • holy crap dude, that was intense. LOVE the little improv on SPAR there at the end.

  • too much ghost notes think??^^ cool medley i like it =)

  • to much ghost notes think??^^ cool medley i like it =)

  • I love how you gave Straws Pulled at Random the attention it deserves. I hope Meshuggah bases their next album off of that song. They need more slow ballad grooves like that.

  • Nice arms :)

  • why do you have holes in youu crash/ride (dont know what it is)

  • @TheR00ler It's designed that way, like the Meinl Generation X China Crash or a Sabian Ozone, just gives it a trashy sort of sound from what I can tell.

  • Man this guy deserves so much more attention and credit on youtube..

  • Squint your eyes to see clearlyyyyyyyyy

  • Good drummmer nice to watch. Good timing. Good drum kit.

About recording, mixing and also how you play on your kit...lots of cymbals sounds and all other instruments of your kit and even the band is far below that.

Suggestion: mix drums softer in mix, add some microphones for bass and snare and toms, can perhaps also be done using low placed mic (s)

  • i know its just one, but how can somebody not like this video?

  • wow, you're a fucking beast

  • What kind of china do you use (at your right)?

  • amazing

  • lol he reminds me of booth from bones, this is is fucking man-tastic! you are a spartan behind those drums!!

  • The cymbals looked sick at 3:00 but im disappointed that you didnt do the lovely fill at 3:07.

    The rest was very good.

Just mic the bass drum up.

  • fuck yea

  • holy fucking shit i needed to see a video like this. u r fucking awesome man

  • FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wish i could complain, i can not! ;)

  • Highly awesome. You and Haake show what can be done when one pushes onesen. A credit to you and the big man himssen. Nice to see a bit of you at the end there too, which was flippin' quite mindblowing also. Thanks for sharing.

  • 5 stars. amazing.

  • straws pulled at random outro is a showstopper. fantastic job.

  • Cymbals should be higher up.

  • are those reference series drums or reference pure series?

  • Heyaa! This is great, I've always said that some sick bastard should play a meshuggah medley but i didn't think that it would happen, and even if it did i wasn't counting on that it would be this good! Fantastic feeling, nice technique, wonderful dynamics and the best part, The ghost notes. The ghost notes are out of this world, truly a wonderful piece of music you have created. It would be killer to have you as a teacher, stay sharp! :)

  • ERES EL REEEEEY !!!!!!!

  • I don't think your cymbals are high enough.

  • mmmmmmm..... should start bringing the extra cymbals to gigs yc

  • nice work bro

  • Troy, this channel needs more vids like NOW! Absolutely immense drumming.

  • liked your ghosting on this and your cymbal use is very true to haake.

  • Im not sure even Thomas Haake himself could do that. You could do a worls tour with that medley alone.

  • @hchriste Of course he could, unbeliever.

  • What the fuck man?! You're fucking insane!!! :)

  • The transition between Glins Collide and Perpetual Black Second where so good, totally insane! Your whole performance whas awesome

  • i just can't find words for this, it's too fucking awesome.

  • dude...this is so fucking bad ass. I'm going to stay in touch with you. I'm going to get you over here to the states and we're going to make some fuckin music. what would you say if I decided to send you some demos of my music? let you hear it, let you hear the drums and all, and see if you liked it? I am dying to team up with some musicians who have a passion for all music and who understand the whole polyrhythm thing. you just never know what might happen.

  • Really cool how you made the songs flow together!! And your skill and timing is amazing and flawless dude, you're really great!

You also have a jaw-dropping forearm.

  • Tomas Haake has short haircut now ? oO

Oh... it's not Tomas... damn o.o
