Louie my friend I completely understand just how frustrating it must be to see jobs being lost in manufacturing. But think for a second, if you have protectionism it also means that the other countries who would need to buy your manufactured goods will close their markets and so very soon you won't have any manufacturing because no will buy your goods since you have closed your markets to theirs. Please understand this. Protectionism will only make it worst. What we need are new industries.
