Where ARE the 'helpful staff ' they crap on about in their hypocritical commercials ?
At the local Bunnings the employees are .. in my opinion ... untrained, uneducated Chip On Shoulder, useless, lazy, customer-HATING 3rd worlders and limp wristed minority cliques.
They HATE the public. They yawn as 65 year old female customers with hip replacements struggle to put their items in one of the RARE trolleys to be found.
They smirk & HIDE so they won't have to help paying customers
@BND58469 Expert advise comes from people who're trained enough to have 'expert' on their badge. I'm a Power Garden Expert, I'm trained and I know my shit, although 'Sorry, I don't know' is still in my vocabulary. Asking me about paint won't do you any good either. I do agree that there's too many people you described within Bunnings. The Warehouses more so. I work in a small format store and we don't have night fill so you have to work hard or you'll stand out like a sore thumb to management.
As an employee that works hard, I urge you to fill out a "how'd we do?" questionnaire and write names of people who you see avoiding you so we can pinpoint our problems. We need the negative feedback to help construct a better business. I would love to have the problematic people out of there too so I don't have to pick up their slack. Just keep in mind that team members could be helping someone already when walking past you. Feel free to ask them for help and they'll come back to you a.s.a.p.
ok, so you would know then that the 2 men in the very " top jobs" have been running this 100% australian owned company for the the entire 20 or so years and they give the "unfairly paid workers" $1000 bonuses each year, 300 fully owned shares yearly, gift vouchers, xmas gifts, free lunches every month, xmas family nights etc,ect.....shall I go on? you have NO idea how this fantastic company runs or values their team. the company does makes good profits...isn't that the idea???
bunnnings are one of the highest paying retailers in the market..... remember the QUALIFIED workers apply to work for us? we dont twist anyones arm to work for us. we have plenty of expert and Qualified team members. a better level of service? what like Kmart...or big W please! we provide great service, the problem is customers expectations, we set a standard and then you want more. like nrdcskb said if you dont like what we provide, shut up and shop else where!!
you clearly have no clue....we have qualified tradesman working in stores and they are not retired or disabled as you nicely put it! in our store alone we have electricians, carpenters, cabinet makers, roofers etc, all under 45. they choose a better working lifestyle for themselves. so you answer to AS IF......they do.
we would love to pay our workers more, but are you prepared to pay more for your goods??? didn't think so.
our team get more than just a pay packet. they know it and love it.
What the hell would you know! Bunnings is one of the more stable employers around at the moment, yeah, the pay is not tops, but I am not going to loose my job anytime soon. I love working for Bunnings, they f@*king rock! They look after me mate!!! Obviously you were a reject!!! Hahahaha!
If given the choice, I would much rather take a slighly smaller pay packet in exchange for a flexible employer, and an environment which makes me happy to get up and go to work. My local Bunnings is FULL of qualified team members, so I don't know where you shop! If you offered me a higher paying office job with a bunch of suits, I would turn you down immediately. The service has not gone downhill, unfortunately the customers have, though. If you don't like Bunnings don't shop there.
