shoeb2015: Yeah, 310 is pretty low for No. 1. Out of spec. also as the max. difference between cylinders should be 45psi. I might set the valve clearances and check it again some time in case rings have settled in (this 2nd hand engine was probably sitting for a while before it was fitted). All I can say is that it's running very well at the moment, but I'm not sure how many of the 72 horses that were there when it was new are left!

just 310psi in 1st cylinder when Factory specification for cylinder compression is 425psi.
