Not everything is in the New Testament (because the Orthodox Church Fathers determined which books were canonical), but everything in the NT supports and is reflected in Orthodox worship. The Trinity, for example, is not mentioned in the NT, but the Church developed this doctine because this concept of God is present both in the NT and OT. |As for images, there is a lot of OT and NT support.

Anyone can create an image in his/her mind, and that is no different than a tangible icon. Surely, you do not believe that humans are forbidden to make images...have you never created or possessed a photograph? a painting? a postcard?

@ko6uta133 i think i can give you an answer. in the mid 19th century a movement of national awakening started in Ardeal (part of Transylvania). The scholars of The Transylvanian School considered that an important part of the Romanian national identity was the Latin heritage coming from the Roman Empire who conquered and settled the ancient state of Dacia (more or less the territory that today is Romania who was inhabited by a thracian population, the dacians/getae ) in 106 AD.

@maxavail You asked me if I was abused. Yes, by my parish priest. I was being considered to be ordained deacon. The priest told me over an over that i would be ordained on the next feast day of St. Nicholas, which as you know he has two feast days a year. Unknown to Fr. Pavel Fokin, I was friends with his bishop in NYC. I sent him monthly reports, After 3 years of playing with me. Fr. Fokin turned the parish against me and he threw me out. The bishop removed Fr. Fokin who was not ordained bishop

@maxavail Fr. Fokin is at St. Catherine's in Rome, given another chance to prove himself. As far as I know he may be bishop now of Italy by now, its been over 3 years. The pope keeps sending bishops to the major cities of Russia, Russia wants to return the favor. The Patriarchal Russian Church built a cathedral on consulate land in Rome. Both the cityand Vatican tried to stop the building, but the land is Russian territory. Vladyka Fokin wiil be closely watched, his former boss is now patriarch.
