I really don't see the huge deal with her. I hate her character on that show, and why do people like her so much?? Christina Hendricks, no there is someone exciting. :)
I don't know why everyone thinks she so awkward in this. she seems very real and likable to me. she's obviously not acting overly excited and fake as most actors are trained to react in interviews for red carpet event. she seems more down to earth.
I didn't find her awkward; I find that she acts like a normal person. Her attitude isn't affected at all, and maybe she seems a little more nervous than one would expect.

EXCEPT - EXCEPT - 1930s movie actresses were often far angrier, self destructive and generally unpleasant characters to be around. At least the big names anyway. The studio system was so oppressive over people's work schedules and celebrity status was so unreachable back then that it made for much more volatile personalities compared to now.
