I was very happy to find that when the sgs2 came out, it looked and felt nothing like an iphone, especially when you consider how much better it is, and the fact that it costed about the same amount, when you pay that much for device you expect it to have it's own identity and style

I still have a galaxy s 1, i'm still loving it, I just discovered miui and the new one that's based on ics, I can honestly say my slightly older phone is still increadible and having that extra bettery life makes all the difference, I was quite guttered when after having my phone for a month that it was as close to an iphone 3gs clone as you can get but after the custom roms and a phone case, I'm still quite happy with it lol, sgs2 was another $1K I just wasn't willing to spend on a phone

also the bettery life on that old thing, and now that just about every media device is compatible with it or has a ipod dock, it's just great, but that's kind of the only thing from apple I can think of that I enjoy,

i only just discovered this channel today, this guy is awesome, the only apple product i own is my old ipod, and that's only because it's 160gb, shortly after i bought an ipod I dicovered how shit itunes is and I re-ripped my cd's using an mp3 program, now I use copytrans instead of itunes and my ipod is still one my faveorite devices simply because MUSIC, ..and LOTS OF IT

They go to court over the slightest thing because Apple is scared of other companies becoming bigger, and more powerful than themselves, to they do everything in their power to stop that from happening. So then other companies make revenge attacks on Apple - notice how the majority of law suits involve Apple - sure that's because probably has the most patents, because they designed a lot of stuff first, but most other companies seem to not care about infringements of petty patents.

the thing is as years go by the size of the transistor shrinks, and so does the usage of battery, but with more headroom on battery they increase the amount of resistors for more performance....

so lets say A9 dual core (which are standard right now) = 45nm

if they shrunk that down to 28nm without increasing clock speeds youd get really good battery life and a boost in performance....but no one wants to be on a dual core A9 when 45nm/28nm quadcore A9s/A15s are out :(

technically, we've been consistently making enough advancements in battery life to add all the other enhancements without affecting battery life too much, although this means that batterylife has stuck consistently at around the same crappy length as it's already been for a while

I think you miss the point, multi core processors help a lot in conserving battery.

Also, the SOCs are moving to better technology 2010 65nm --> 2011 45 nm -->2012 28nm (sanpdragon s4) which helps a lot in improving battery life.

Battery life on galaxy nexus is very good, i get 2 days from the GSM version.

For now the the marketplace has all the apps that are used normally and apps are great looking. Yes it does not have as many apps as the other app stores for now. I just love the way WM7 works and feels.

We ARE ready for this. The Tegra 3 is actually MORE energy efficient than most processors, it increases battery life and gives you more power. It's a great step forward! 720p displays are doing great too, even for battery life. Most people are saying it has great battery life.

Steve was a marketing genius but a blatant copier of everything..
