  • i my is 3.0Ghz overeclocking on 4.2Ghz?

  • Based on your experience so far, you think a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L will pull off such a decent overclock? I still have my Q6600 and my E6850 lying around, but my previous 2 NVIDIA motherboards went to Heaven and now im stuck with a backup ECS G31 motherboard at stock.

  • I have seen alot of people push quads on the g31 chipset. I have never played with one of those so I really can not tell you but if you have the board and the chip why not try it

  • always wanted to ask about ga g31 es2l motherb.have overclocking function on it?gigabyte webpage doesn't show the full specs of it.

  • I know people that do great on it, I have a p45 sorry

  • I am currently using a g31m-es2l on an e5200, and it overclocks pretty nice. I am running @ 3.0GHz on stock voltages.

Check Newegg's reviews for more details.

  • Wow man, that is a DAMN respectable OC. Especially on stock cooling Good temps too keep it up man! 5/5 ^^

  • Im trying. Thanks alot. You get your cpu any higher?

  • I'm working on it now, got it OC'd to 3509 GHz at 1.3625 something volts. I want the 3.5 OC but if i have to set my voltages too high then forget it, I'll settle at 3.3 or 3.2. I want it to be stable and safe to run 24/7 as well otherwise its a no go for me. I just hit a FSB hole and am digging my way out of it right now. Hopefully this new oc at these volts will be stable. Wish me luck! ^^

  • lol man good luck. 1.4 is reasoably okay voltage as long as you got temps under control

  • what did you uise to overclock it?

    the bios or a app?

  • bios
