  • I'm sorry but regardless of Chicago being the best city in the world in general the best defense was the 1970's Steel Curtain

  • no one could figure out this defense.... i feel srry 4 the QB tht r facin thier 'D

  • There is always more than 1 defense making the tackle/sack, True teamwork, dont think well see this ever again

  • best defense ever

  • @TheMads27

The combonation of an amazing group of players with a new defencive scheme( teams took awhile to figure the 46 out) may never be seen again as we saw in 85 from the Bear's D.

  • FUCK GOODELL AND NEW NFL!

  • The players' union should just say that they're all not going to pay such fines, anymore. It's efffing football.

  • damn man we should have also won in 86 cause the team was even better but hey its hard to repeat

  • HOLY S**T I SAW PEYTON MANNING!

  • 1985 Bears may be best defense ever. But if they had to play under Goodell's new baby rules they would not dominate. NFL is now ruined and anti-defense. QBs and WRs are way over protected.

  • @skywalker71903 I can agree with this. Modern American Football has become...pansified. They think it was violent, then? Go back to 1904, when there was an annual DEATH toll of around 20 or so. 1985's violence standards were no different than they had been for +7 previous decades, and everyone was fine with it...until someone decided that audiences supposedly wanted to see more points scored, as though we couldn't appreciate the beauty of destruction that teams like Chicago wrought.

  • @VampireYoshi Yeah game is ruined under Roger Goodell. Good to see I can meet some fans like yourself that can see this sad truth. Media talks so much bullshit when they say You can't blitz Brady or Manning cuz they get rid of ball to quick. Goodell's New roughing passer rule is reason why. If defensive player hits Brady late its a flag and fine. Even if defensive player is just a foot away. Old rule if defensive player is 3 steps from QB he can hit QB. Real NFL skinny Brady won't last

  • @skywalker71903 It's true that some quarterbacks can get rid of the ball fast enough to not take the sack. Marino did it in 1985 itself. But over time, the price they pay for it is getting mauled, physically...and they should, given the money they're being paid to do it. NFL football SHOULD be the most ruthless game in the world; why else do they think people have been in awe of it for so long? If they want 'safe for all', there's always baseball.

  • @VampireYoshi Exactly. ESPN and media talk bullshit.I know Manning has a quick release but still if this wasc 1985 the real NFL they would blitz him and any other QB. Quick corner blitz, hit him early slow down his rythm. Manning or Brady would not last long in that era. That safe talk is garbage, Goodell and greedy owners want 18 game season. Thats why there making game soft. Its getting worse

  • @skywalker71903 The only way 18 games would ever grind less hard than 16 is if they abolish offensive and defensive lines themselves. They're bullsh/t hypocrites, nevermind that they're wrong about what makes football great.

  • @VampireYoshi Goodell said he is thinking about banning 3 point stance. I don't like the direction the league is going into

  • @skywalker71903 Is he going to ban tackles, too?

  • @VampireYoshi For certain players. Especially Brady boy. I saw Nata that DT for Ravens be careful when he sacked Brady.I can't remember the game. Its getting ridiculous

  • This is the ony SB the bears will ever win for many many more years.

  • lol fuck the CHEESEHEADS

  • @sloth1620

Enough of the crap directed toward your BEST rival. Green Bay isn't New York, or Pittsburgh, or God help us, Dallas. They're THE PACKERS, and you're THE BEARS. The two originals, both long since legendary franchises...and in that 1985 year, it was "down years" Green Bay who played you the closest, other than that Marino game, and -easily- played you the hardest, of anyone all year.

Each of you deserve better than crude vulgarity.

  • @VampireYoshi lol i didnt say anything about the GB Packers.. im speaking on the idiots with cheese on their heads. so like i said, fuck the CHEESEHEADS! btw whats wrong with a lil vulgarity??

  • @sloth1620 Cheese is awesome, as both food or symbol. And as for being vulgar, it's basically disrespectful to some of the -most- respectful fans in the league. If you want fans who deserve disrespect, why not start with the Eagles?

  • @VampireYoshi

    LOL your gay

  • @sloth1620 OK, I'll put another way. The Cheeseheads are awesome, and the people who don't respect them know jack sh!t of being a real sports fan. Have a nice day.

  • @VampireYoshi

LOL ---- I Know "jack sh!t" of being a "'real sports fan"' ok buddy, you just made my point...

    Y O U R G A Y

you have a nice gay too

  • This video, and the song were perfect together. Rate WAAAAAAY up. Thank you, Gruntorz.

  • Gotta love 'da Fridge. That 85 team sure was a great one.

  • Emo

  • The Greatest football team ever and Fuck the CHEESEHEADS GO BEARS!!! and i wish i was alive to c these guys play

  • Well the last line "Restore the roar" was a little corny, but this was a very good highlight reel for the defense

  • Also, I have come to the conclusion that this was, in fact, NFL history's only rock star team. Everybody in the country knew all their names, everyone knew their attitude, and the fact that they were basically led by two head coaches who often couldn't stand each other, and who both might've been somewhat psychotic...nevermind the various potential psychoses of the players themselves.

  • 95% of th hits now a days are illegal. Im sure the 85 bears defense would be poor nowadays with all the fines. But this i how football should be played

  • Is this called rugby?

  • Another thing to consider when judging defenses is the quality of the opposition. For instance the Eagles of the early nineties who were underrated faced great offenses in their own conference i.e. Cowboys, Redskins, or the Giants great team many times a year they faced Montana and company alot too. Where as the overrated 2000 Ravens never faced an all pro QB, and it was a time of not so great teams. The 85 Bears had a better defense than the Ravens, though the Steel-curtain of the 70s was best

  • @stormblast49

The Steel Curtain was the best for an extended amount of time. We'll never know how good the '85 Bears squad would've been, up to ~1988, etc., since only Ryan used them in the philosophy he basically built them around. Vince Tobin was a caretaker; the Master was gone, to Philadelphia, building the next one.

Thus, we'll have to disagree, on the 1985 Bears not being THE Best, Ever.

  • 85 bears defense allowed - 198 points and 4,135 yards WHILE the 2000 Ravens allowed 165 points and 3,967 yards. People need to stop obsessing with this 1985 bears defense saying noone has ever been as good. Cause stats don't lie the 2000 ravens were better.

  • @TheBbqmaster21

Without special teams TD, they lose in the playoffs. The 1985 Chicago Bears remain the only team in history to go unscored-upon in an entire conference playoff series of games.

  • @TheBbqmaster21 The 85 bears also had 64 sacks compared to the 34 sacks of the 2000 ravens

  • i think this songs the shit whats the title?!

  • @KingBud408 "The Chosen Ones" by Dream Evil.

  • With all the stuff that's happened with the LeBron crap...I deeply hope that Rob Ryan succeeds in bringing a defense even remotely like this one to Cleveland.

They need something to smile about...and THIS would make them stand in something approaching awe.

  • If you don't mean the Bears themselves, then yes they do still use the 46 as a base set in the NFL, though it is rare and has only recently been so revived. Rex and Rob Ryan, Buddy's two sons, are building 46-base sets in New York (Jets) and Cleveland, respectively...though theirs are 3-4 base sets rather than the Chicago 4-3 scheme, since it's almost impossibly hard to get all 4 DLs as good as Dent, McMichael, Fridge and Hampton were.

  • to bad they don't use the 46 today

  • did you delete the one with mama said knock you out music

  • DE- Hampton 'DT- McMichael DT- Perry DE-Dent LB-Marshall LB-Singletary LB-Wilson FS-Fencik SS-Duerson CB-Frazier CB-Richardson What a dominating defense, the most intimidating force in football
  • lkkre vid chris..

  • 07-08 pitt was of this caliaber

  • Not even close, are you kidding me?

  • Favre would've been a blood red stain on the turf under this onslaught.

  • And people complained when the Saints hit Brett Favre and called it "dirty". Please...

  • They were truly the most awe-inspiring defense ever created. Brilliant athletes playing in the most terror-inducing defensive scheme possible.

  • I think the 4:3 defense is better with alot of blitz, the way the late great Jim Johnson ran it. Steve Spagnolia did a great job with the giants. But the 3:4 is great also that Rex Ryan buddies dad runs and Dick Labeau.

  • God I miss Ditka! How Lovie Smith has his job is beyond human comprehension. He fires Ron Rivera, cuts Thomas Jones hires a bust in Curtis Benson as well Rex Grossman. They get Cutler but don't give him an offensive line and quality wideouts. Their defense gives up big chunks in yardage by ground or air. They better win next year or this half assed regime will be fired!!!! I hope!

  • They should really fire him and hire Ron Rivera as the head coach,

  • EWG, it was both. The Bears had all-world studs Hampton, Singletary, Marshall, Wilson, Dent, McMichael, Fencik, Duerson, and Frasier. Fridge and Richardson also started. Todd Bell was maybe the best player in 84, but he held out for a contract in 85. Beyond stacked. The formation put six men on the line, man to man corners, one safety deep. Pressure from everywhere. Line's stacked against the run, no time for the QB to pass. The West Coast O was designed specifically to counter the 46 Defense.

  • the only team who has picked apart the 46defense was the miami dolphins that was the only team to ever beat the 46 defense

  • @emowaffles666 well that was because Marino has a quick release, everytime he was about to get hit, he'd throw the ball for big gains. If it was a different QB, than the bears woulda gone undefeated

  • the 46 defence needs to be run by great players and even if a team has great players the 46 defence can be picked apart by the spread offence

  • dam the 85 bears were the most exelent defense EVER!!!! nobody could stop this defense its ashame they dont run it any more

  • is the 46 D based on what talent you got on the team or its more formation wise?

  • 1:08 was like GIMME THAT BALL BACK!

  • @smashbr0s tha redskins guy was like, "HEY I CAUGHT IT," and the bears guy was like "NO"

  • that '85 team was hungry and psyched-up before games to actually knock the QB out of the game. (they averaged 4 sacks a game)

The Bears today have a mentality of "we'll just take wins however we can get them"; especially after the really ugly wins..

I don't get why it's such a puzzle in chicago why the bears are horrible right now.

  • i wish ther defense was like this now

  • who's # 58?

  • #58 would be Wilber Marshall

  • Most dont remember but they were pretty freaking awesome in 84 too.

  • @XmidnitetokerX my mother went to the 1985 game against the rams then in 2006, i watched the bears go to the SB.

  • i wish i was alive to see them back in there prime, well sunday i get to see them play Seattle, it sucks when your born after all the good stuff happens, like jordan i was born in 93 so i missed half of his good season and got to watch him before he retired, yesturday i watched space jam and i heard the fat boss say,"How'd he do that?" its like dude we all wanna know how jordan does it, just like the '85 we wanna know how they did it

  • if you think that missing it is bad then try having your dad compare every defense to the 85 bears, its like taunting you saying I saw them play and you didn't hahaha, so ya and with halfbacks, its always walter payton(my dad and I are steeler fans but during the 80's he rooted for the bears since the steelers weren't that great;my dads been a steeler fan since he was 5 years old which is 1970 and he only like liked em because of pittsburghs colors)

  • i feel u jimbo!!! i was fortunate to witness "Sweetness" and the '85 Bears...followed by the great Bulls dynasty in the '90's. Sundays were not the same for a long time after #34 retired, but just the same we have to create new memories. Someday ur kids will be talkin about the great teams u witnessed win titles!!! Hopefully this will be a good yr. in Chicago sports history. GO BEARS, BULLS, HAWKS, and of course my CUBBIES!!! sorry but the sox suck. oh yeah, ILLINI b-ball is back on the map.

  • @ricanruler

I hate the cubs, but everyone else is great.

  • 55 OTIS WILSON

  • I wish I was alive back then to watch this. Also missed a lot of jordans career.

  • pak 10 likes penis

  • who was #55?, i know his last name, what was his first name?

  • Otis Wilson

  • Not only did the 85 bears surrender no points in the playoffs, but the 10 points in the superbowl wasn't the defense's fault. The field goal was surrendered after the offense fumbled the ball in patriot field goal range. The touchdown came in the 4th quarter when the bears had a big lead and were playing their back ups and third stringers. The patriots never even advanced the ball past the fifty yard line till the end of the third quarter.

  • great song asshole

  • KEVINsoILL stole this vid. Stole others to. what a a-hole

  • Gave up 10 points in three play off games. Best defence ever!

  • Hey super dogpooper...bears 85 best of all time..deal with it!

  • Unfortunately for the Bears and Bears fans, when Tobin replaced Ryan the next year as D coordinator, he stopped sending everybody on every other play and the defense stopped producing offense like it did during the super bowl year. Still a great D, but not as dynamic.

  • 72 was perfect

  • 72 only played 2 teams above the 500. mark and no playoff teams

  • And both of those above .500 teams that '72 Miami played were only 8-6.

  • Haha what, is this a emo song ? man i aint even gonna argue about that .. this is just a random metal song.

  • Ha! My bad then man. Thought it was one of those, suffer through listening to my song while you try and watch highlights.

  • @Gruntorz song goes well with the video/ 85 bears. thanks for posting such awesomeness. Wish football was played like these beasts.

  • This song rocks! You dont know what you're talking about. They're the chosen ones, THEY KILL FOR HONOR. They're talking about cutting other people not themselves.

  • @justinjcpoe1

"We are the holy ones, our armor's stained with blood" is emo?? Reminds me more of the fact that the '85 Bears were the baddest ass defense of all time.

  • @justinjcpoe1 this song rocks...your the faggot

  • @justinjcpoe1 Then mute it, moron.

  • @justinjcpoe1 hows this even a emo song? u go die u fucking idiot atleast he put the fucking vid up u dipshit im gonna come kill ur whole family

  • @justinjcpoe1 i do

  • @justinjcpoe1

    FTFO buddy

    FUCK THE FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SuperDroogie is a sour douche. All defenses are gimmicks...The Zone blitz is a gimick, Tampa 2 is gimmick. This is a evolving game and not everyone is going to run what everyone else is doing. That how the great Steel Curtain defense won so many SB. They changed the way the played defense into a gimmick so nobody can stop them. STOP HATING

  • As great as the 85 Bears defense was, I still think the Steel Curtain defense is the greatest defense of all time, simply because of the fact that the Steelers' D was able to sustain its excellence over a longer period of time. Plus, the Steelers successfully stopped Roger Staubach 4th quarter comebacks in not one, but TWO Super Bowls, and Staubach was known for being the prototypical clutch quarterback, so that alone speaks volumes about the Steelers' defense.

  • SuperDroogie187) I'm a Cowboys fan and that last comment about the steelers stopping Roger Staubach in 4th. quarters kinda hurt but I have to give credit where credit is due.

The Steelers were way more consistent over a longer time span...

I'm only 28 so I don't remember those teams but I've seen plenty of videos and plenty of research...

    Thumbs up!!!

  • I feel your pain. I'm a Cowboys fan, as well, and it hurts me just as much to even bring up how the Steelers defense was able to turn back the Cowboys in the 4th quarter twice. But at the same time, when a defense stalls a 4th quarter comeback on football's biggest stage TWICE, particularly from arguably the most clutch quarterback of his era, it really demands respect, even from rival fans such as myself.

The 46 Defense looks more like a one-year wonder in comparison.

  • the reason why baltimore isn't dominant is their offense, let them get flacco ready and they will be in the SB

  • best team ever enough said

  • i could't have have said it better

  • i think we would still beat u

  • 72perfect

  • nah i dont think so they also had two less games

  • its all about the O in the right hand colum hahaha

  • I loved watching them hammer the opposing teams offense, I wish I was around in 85 to go through it all though.

  • 00 Bal was better.

Chi Pts allowed 198, Bal 165,

Yds per game Chi 258, Bal 247,

Rush yds allowed per game Chi 82.4, Bal 60.6.

Chi has edge in pass yds per game 176 to 187 and sacks 64 to 35 but the Chi were a 46 D blitzing team.

    Bal was a base 4-3.

Playoffs Bears 10 points in 3 games, 2 shutouts at home.

Ravens only 9 poins the first 3 playoff games all on the road and shutout the O in SB, so only 9 in 4 games.

The kick return on special teams is meisleading for 16 points in 4 games.

  • My Bad, Ravens gave up 16 points in 4 playoff games, a total of 23 with the kick return.

Still only 4 points per game, one less than Bears.

Also though, the Bears of 85 put up 456 Offensive points the Ravens O put up 333Big difference.

  • im no bear fan but the ravens went to the sb not being the best team in the league, they also went to the sb with a record that wasnt 15-1 and they also didnt shut out every team in the playoffs, but like the bears the ravens did almost become the 1st team to cause a shutout in the sb

  • Bal O put up 333 pts, Bears O put up 456.

That's a TD more per game to work with.

Bal actually shutout the Offense in SB.

Giants only TD was a kick return.

Pitt in SB IX only gave up a punt block so they too shut out the O in the SB.

85 Bears actually gave up an Offensive FG and TD.

In the playoffs the Bears opposing QBs were garbage, Phil Simms before he had one good year, Dieter Brock and Tony Eason.

Ravens stil held opponents to 4 ppg vs

    S McNair, B Griese, R Gannon and

    K Collins

  • 08 Pitts 223 points given may not look good to 00 Bal 165, 85 Bears 198,

    00 Bal opponents avearged 17.5 ppg, Pitt's averged 21.5.

    That's a 4 points, exactly the difference between 165 over 16 gms and 223.

Pitt held them to 7.6 less ppg than their avearge where as Bal held them to 7.2 less.

Pitt held them to 80 yds less, Bal 30 yds less.

    Not as dominate in playoffs,

Rivers was top rated QB in NFL, Flaco had one TD set up on BS PI call, ARi was averaging 31 pts and where held to 10 less.

  • First of all, the Bears defense openly admitted they were not playing well together as a team, which is why the first few games of the season are a bit misleading, because that's where they gave up the highest amount of points.

  • Tony Saragusa, Ray Lewis, Sam Adams and Rod Woodson.

    Eason was garbage.

McNair and Gannon were NFL MVPs.

Gresie and Collins weren't great but Denver had # 2 O and Collins was hot goin in to the SB for sure.

Brock and Eason were worse than Greise Collins.

Simms had one good year in 86.

In 85 the Bears D was the best ever but it's a scheme that has since been defused.

Ravens ran a base 4-3 in the new millienum.

    I hate Baltimore, I'm a Steelers fan.

Plus Bal O only scored 333 to Chi 456.

  • I guess I'm not quite sure how Eason is garbage when he did lead his team to the superbowl. I think you could safely argue then that Trent Dilfer was also garbage.

I still think you're giving way too much credit to guys like the 4 QB's you mentioned. Those guys are not world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. You're also trying to compare about 15 years difference between QBs, which doesn't really work.

The 46 D has been defused, but how many SBs have the Ravens won since 2000?

  • The reason they weren't as dominant after 00 was they went from a 4-3 to a 3-4 and Saragusa retired and Rod Woodson and Sam Adams both only played one more year before going to the Raiders where they helped Oak get back to the SB.

Eason was garbage and maybe Gresie and Collins, but not Gannon and McNair.

Either way 85 Bears 2000 Ravens, a point difference per game in playoffs but Ravens sustained it over 4 games with a shutout of the O in the SB but Bears had bask to back shutouts.

    Toss Up.

  • One good year in '86? That may have been the best year the Giants had with Simms, but his QB rating was better in '85. In fact, from '84 till he retired in '93, the '86 QB rating was his worst. 1984: 78.1 1985: 78.6 1986: 74.6 1987: 90.0 1988: 82.1 1989: 77.6 1990: 92.7 1991: 87.0 1992: 83.3 1993: 88.3
  • Simms was a pussy and so his his son.

  • Secondly, if you look at the amount of points the Bears gave up after the first 3 games, only one time did they give up more than 20 points, and that was the one game they lost.

The game has totally changed complexion between 1985 and 2000. I don't think the comparison is very fair. However, the Bears defensive players contained a lot of HOFers, each with their own attitude, which made them great.

  • The Ravens had a great defense in 2000, but the players on that squad are not remembered the same way the 85 defense, or the steel curtain defense that the Steelers had are remembered - character plays a big part of it.

And I don't really understand how you can say that Eason is garbage and then throw up names like McNair, Collins, Griese, and Gannon, and act like those 4 QBs are world-class talent. All 4 of those bums are garbage, are you kidding me??

  • HE SAID BAR NONE

  • the 85 bears are the best in league history bar none

  • BEARS!

  • how can he stand at 1:53???

  • Best team ever. Should have beat the dolphins but McMahon was hurt. 72 dolphins are clutching your undefeated season which was only achieved because of the easiest regular season schedule in recent memory. You aren't great..... the 85' bears are great!

  • best team ever

  • Great video......but someone should put the whole game on youtube

  • My dad says the 85 Bears had the most dominating defense in football history. I like watching films of that team cause I think Jim McMahon was meltingly cute. Who cares about defense when Jim's on offense???

  • lol 2:30 to 2:35 he saw singletary coming it was smart of him to lay down man:P

  • Bears for life

  • the only offense they couldn't pound were the dolphins

  • bears forever

  • They had a good season in 1985. But what happened in week thirteen? I guess they were not the chosen ones in that game.

  • They're still better than the '72 dolphins.

  • poor guy :-( 2:27

  • I love how he stayed back to see if the guy was alright, now that is good sportsmanship :) GO BEARS

  • Comment removed

  • Marino was like buster douglas that night

  • what was their record in 1985?

  • 18-1 including, of course, the SB title - the one loss was in Miami -13th week

  • thanks

  • i have a 1985 bears video from the divisional playoffs against the giants. check it out i just uploaded it. also, great video! best defense to ever play

  • awesome video defense wins championchips.well so does payton

  • OMFG, 2:20, wow he is never gonna get up...

  • Awsome job man! great video.

  • Thats so great with the music all together... goosebumps...

  • and then the Eagles wouldn't have got in

  • the bears wouldnt have gone to the play offs anyway. they could've beat houston but the vikings still would've won

  • yeah but If we won we would have got the wild card since Tampa and Dallas lost

  • sorry vikings are not a super bowl winning team the viking and lions are the olny 2 teams in their division not to win a super bowl the vikings is the only team in the division to lose 4 superbowlsand the bears won a superbowl of course so did green bay

  • give me thumps up on this one i love the bears packer rival its the best come one give me thumsp on this one

  • At 2:21 Wilbur Marshall was fined for hitting the Lions quarterback. Bogus when you see the films. Great hit Wilbur. Best outside LB ever.

  • Where did you get this fucken music from ? Have some respect for Da Bears !

  • Dream evil : The chosen ones

  • 9 and 6 9 and 6, they will win NFC!

  • im so sad that they missed the play offs, fuck housten, fuck the vikings and of course fuck the käseköppes from green bay,grüsse aus deutschland, from germany hail to the bears

  • no man its alright, nfc north wasa tough this year, and if its anyone who needs fucked up the ass its the packers and the texans!! If it wasnt for the texans they would have gone to the win

  • i think chicago had the best defense in that decade while the best team was probably san francisco

  • congrats on winning, I feel bad for detroit now lol

  • not the best team in history, best team the bears ever had. good defense but personally i think the 76 steelers had the best defense ever but hey im a steeler fan.this is the best team the bears ever had im surprised the bears didnt go onto win more superbowls with a team like that. wait you know what, there is no best defense ever, each team has its great defense or maybe each decade has a defense that kicked ass. idk but that defense was awesome to watch

  • Let me just answer why they dident win more superbowls... they could have won in 1986 but there qb got injured. 2th buddy rayan left ( the creater of the 46) 3th there was so many other teams playing in that deaced that you could argue about being the best team ever^^

  • Also, a significant weakness in the Bears' 46 Defense began to surface in the years following the 85 Super Bowl. That weakness happened to be the West Coast Offense, and once NFL teams began hiring Bill Walsh's assistants to fill their head coaching vacancies, that 46 Defense didn't have a chance at surviving in the NFL. I also heard somewhere that Joe Gibbs figured out how to block the 46 sometime after Buddy Ryan brought it with him to the Eagles.

  • Nono i dident work like that at all. The 46 was broke after buddy left. after that is was all down since he dident came up with any new blitzes and stuff. And after all he created a good defense with the early 90s eagels. Is was in like 88 the west coast offense came up with how to defeat the 46 but early it was the spreat quick passing gun offense the 46 hade problem with 84-86 they were a good defense i mean in 86 they broke there record for points allowed and went 14-2

  • If Buddy Ryan was so great, then why is it that he won a grand total of ZERO playoff games after he left the Bears?

  • Dude.... he was a great defensive cordinator he proved that with the eagels also..... there he hade some really good defense but he wasent a great head coach.! Great D-cordinator not great- headCoach dose that answer your question?

  • Comment removed

  • Buddy Ryan was a gimmick defensive coordinator who created a gimmick defense, not to mention the fact that he's one of the biggest assholes in NFL history! And even if Buddy Ryan stayed in Chicago, Bill Walsh would still be able to move the ball against the 46, and Joe Gibbs still would have figured out how to block it.

  • damn you really hate the bears don't you?

  • Actually, it's not the Bears that I hate, it's Buddy Ryan. Not only did he create the biggest gimmick defense in NFL history (I'll take the Zone Blitz, Tampa 2, or the Steel Curtain over the 46 any day of the week and twice on Sunday), but he was also one of the biggest assholes the game has ever seen! He placed bounties on opposing players (which, by the way, results in a fine in today's NFL), and even punched his own offensive coordinator!

  • it was all buddy ryan he was the defensive coordinator
