I heard that Serco is one of the companies that is starting to use the unemployed as cheap labour in the UK. Oh, but they call it retraining. Currently its 2 years unless you find alternative work. The CEO is a fundametalist christain so if the Bible says slavery is ok, then its ok. The new source of cheap labour could well put others out of work. I've heard they are behind A4E, who are supposed to help the unemployed find work. We are moving into a frightening age.
