MAV killing is the most cowardly way to play. I have no problem when its used to tag people but trolling with it is just a complete pussy way to play.
I wanna clear something up here. The MAV dog tags are in fact for kill assists from spotting/motion sensor. You don't actually have to physically kill anyone with the MAV to get the dog tags.
@trythatagin thanks for clearing that up, never really looked at that tag, i think its cause of the fact that it says "MAV kills" that makes people think that. Explains why the tag says 772 and battlelog says 116 lol

When I see an enemy MAV in the sky, I simply look around the edges of the map or in the most obvious hiding places and 9/10 I find the morons laying there on their MAV controlls laying prone. I then KNIFE them and T-bag the living shit out of their corpse. That's what these fucking noobs get.

@MrSavior42 lol nice too bad its not a glitch and its not an exploit. fyi DICE does know about it and from what i understand is they patched a couple things involving the MAV and you can still kill people with it. Yes BF3 is an amazing game and DICE has done a great job at patching alot of glitches but this is not one. A glitch would be standing on it to float up like you see in some videos, hitting someone with a metal drone at full speed in the head to kill them is not a glitch.
@pyromeximike People who don't do well with their soldier in the field use the mav for kills. It's relatively easy to camp somewhere safely tucked away and use this device. I don't respect it. But I do enjoy using the mavs for target practice.

@pyromeximike Why don't you play the game properly, The MAV is used in real life and is suppose to be used in game as a mobile, airborne spotting device so recons can more effectivly spot enemy targets for their team mates and is ment to be a small supporting piece of equipment. @loveqlimaxx try aiming for their upper body more than anything and make sure you have enough room to build up speed also use the cross-hairs like you see here, i aim it towards their head. its not a very easy thing to get kills with so dont expect to go on a rampage with this thing. im not sure why there are people here complaining about it since its easier getting kills with any gun than a mav, this is more just for fun.
@pyromeximike I can get 16 kills but I average 8 -12 in one map ... this thing is easy to go on a rampage with :) ...Ive only been using it for 5 days now and Iv'e gotten 3 double kills with it ...
@pyromeximike Has this been patched? I have had some moments where I could swear that it does not work - I have had to many occasions where there was another recon player sitting way back doing nothing, I have aimed for the head and torso, properly gone through them and not had a kill.
@Grrrr1911 No, like people have been posting there are dog tags for using the MAV to get kills like this so it cant be patched since its literary part of the game. I have heard that they made it harder to get kills than it used to be by making the hitbox smaller tho. so make sure you are hitting them. like lazarole said before the camera is to the left of the drone so try lining the enemy up just right of your crosshairs.
@loveqlimaxx it helps if you go full speed don't hit anything but the person you will go right through them no resistance remember if you hit anything besides the person it will decelerate you. and practice makes perfect
@loveqlimaxx the trick is to understand that the camera is placed on the left side of the mav. therefore, all the weight is in the center, barely right of the rightmost crosshair. -:- aim to the right part of the crosshair.

@GamingTillExtreme yep still works, though they made the hit box incredibly small, you have to literally flying into their face and full speed, it used to just be hit any where on hardcore.
@gunman236 you dont have to lock on just aim at them and hit the back button (xbox 360) or select (ps3 i think). its the same button as spotting people when your walking around. Also the MAV has a built in motion sensor so just being around people gives there positions away but its better to spot them. Lock on is only for equipment like other MAVs or recon beacons etc.
I found out how to do this on my own, played a game of conquest on Op. Metro, and the entire team was completely distracted trying to dodge my MAV (had 11 kills with it) that we pushed them back to their spawn.
The MAV can lock onto enemy equipment being used at the time. So mortars, eod bots and other MAV's. Once you lock on press L1(PS3) to destroy equipment.
@pyromeximike it only worked once for me today... was fun :)
normally they are like "Ow look... MAV spotted... what ever" but when they got killed once they are all like... WTF!!! and keep shooting it down :(... a well. did get 24 kills in about 1.5hours.. was some good fun :)... although you dont get much exp from it...will try to use it when a sniper is irritating ;)
Just a tip, the mav can spot as many things as you want just like ordinary spotting. you can spot the entire enemy team, vehicles, everything. you can use the spot button more then once and your spots don't go away unless the enemy leaves your line of sight or the spot wears out.
@MrAJmiskell yeah i just couldnt get any clips of that since i kept getting these maps. I tend to get 3+ at a time on caspian border since it is a smaller map for TDM. Good tip works great for all game modes since it lets your team know where the enemy is.
