He didn't have children and wanted them. We tried and couldn't have them (age factor) So in a way he was looking for more of a family (he was previously married to a very femist woman that didn't want kids) I suppose it depends on the person and the relationship they want.
Single mom's are more complicated because of the kids issue, but if the kids are older(my case) it's not that much of an issue.

Single moms are usually looking for a relationship to turn into a marriage. If you're not up for that in the future, then don't even start down that road.
