  • lol at you all, really xD The pony was a 20 year old school master and I was twelve. Thanks for all the good comments, and the bad ones, criticize on a video that wasn't 4 years ago :D

  • im so jealous of you even on ur bad days i've been riding 6 years and can jump this hieght but not a full course probably only 1 jump, im now gonna look up a newer video of u!

  • i'm thinking your circle was so big and you were telling him faster so early that he had about 6-7 strides of speed to come up with a plan where as if you just told him to speed up 2 strides before he would be on top of the jump when he started thinking. but that was the past ;)

  • Your hands were all over the place--bouncing EVERYWHERE!--and you were leaning WAYYY too far back when you were cantering. You got into your 2-point too early.

  • you are all retarted who says she dide bad or it was horrible ridin g she did freaking amazing!! so screw off and shut up your just jelouse yo cant ride that well.... if that was a bad day girly man would i be afriad to ride against you

  • maybe if it was on the right leg you'd do better?

  • k so it was a a bad day. but he riding shown in this video is dreadful!

  • I've had worse days! You rode him really well.!

  • Thats high for such a young age

  • your really good!

  • I think even for the refusals you did really good... No one is perfect. And dang those jumps are huge. I don't think i ever would have jumped that high at 13... keep up the work

  • that was amazing i wish there was more riders like you who gives the horse time to jump them instead of using a whip you let him/her take their time and jump that oxer very nice riding!!!!! x

  • this is amazing. even with the few mistakes, you are an amazing rider! and what a beautiful horse!

  • how high were those For a 12 year old holy hell im 12 and i can jump only 4ft as a single jmp and ive been riding for two years also why did you pet him after he refused

  • amazing!

I dont understand why anyone would coment bad on this vid!

THAT IS AMAZING FOR A 12-13 YEARS OLD! :D

  • Ok, I want to know why you consider this a bad day? True you had some refusals, and a jump knocked down, but you rode great, you didn't fall off, and I love the song in the beginning. Great job! :)

  • Wow, what a beautiful horse... =)

  • lol every time i upload a horse vid i put it in sports category :P :D

  • The horse is so beautiful and the Rider is AMAZING !!! You two make such a great team together is the horse yours, if so how long have you had him/her from ?!? Xx

  • @Horsemadcat10 I had him for a year and yes he was mine =]

  • @Sniffysmyboy Rea.ly is that all Youtwo are Amazing ! Xx And not trying to be rude but he looks like difficult ride :/ You are Amazing Xx = ) xX

  • That was a bad day?? I would hate to see you on a good day! You still look really good! You stayed on ;) and you didn't give up, kept going at it!

That horse is SO cute ;) And very well done for being 18!

  • maybe at that refusal, you might have needed more press and release? but otherwise you did great! everyone has weird days [those days are soooo frustrating!!!! :P ]. was this a show or lesson?

  • those jumps were really high for your exp.

no offense but i think 2'6" sounds like a good heigth for your exp. back then.

  • @jumper1317 Its a good point but the pony and I had been competing at this height for ages, he just didn't feel like jumping that day. We jumped heigher in lessons as well. Thanks for the input though =]

  • @Sniffysmyboy Welcomee. :]

  • You are so hysterical!! The comments you posted made the hole video ;) Great job on this round, been there done that ;)

  • boy have i had days like this. for some reason my horse is absolutely perfect jumper. and then sometime like to be a homo and run around in hunters.

  • ur a good rider- but i jope u dont jump any higher w/ that pony = D

  • i don't like this. ronja of poland ;d

  • @rrronjka Not my problem. A.j. of New Zealand.

  • @Sniffysmyboy why do you pull horse's reins ??

  • @rrronjka The general concept of the reins is control. So,when you see me pull the reins it is to shorten or slow his stride down. Get it now?

  • good riding!! don't listen to those stupid comments, everybody has bad days.. :)

  • wow u and ur horse are amazing! wish i culd be that good!

  • oh my god you're a fantastic rider, especially considering your age at the time! When I was 13 I was trotting crossrails in an awkward two point lol and you are still wayyyy better at riding then I am now at 20, don't let any bad comments on here get you down :P

  • you are a not sooo good rider!

  • @odinpuenktchen You are not so good english apparently xD

  • @Sniffysmyboy

Yes shes awful isnt she, not like shes jumping jumps thata are almost bigger than the horse :Z lol Good job btw luv the video x

  • @Sniffysmyboy Please be nice? Thanks, and I read the desc. but those jumps were high, for a rider like you (back then)

  • really good riding, no problems in this video. You had a great paste all round, :) I seriously wouldn't listen to anyone who crit on your ridiing because you're flying through those heights with no problem what so ever :) Well done. And I'm sorry that the horse passed away :(

  • bad day? I wouldn't day that. You rode really well if you were only 13/14 alot of people would of got angry and used a whip but you kept calm and gave him the confidence :) Really nice riding and lovely horse, sorry about the loss though :(

  • Well done pushing him through it. It's cool to hear that you work with young/naughty horses too, I'm 16 and do the same.

  • Good riding! beautifl horseyy too bad he passed :( sorry for your loss :l

  • good job not giving up and hahah i love the song in the back round.too funny,

  • At the stables I ride at I am only alound to do dressarge no jumping only dressarge!

  • @SamandRockyrock Yikes!

My neighbour only did dressage with her horse and it went completely insane and unrideable because it got bored!

Do you at least hack the horses out ?

  • Most of the time. We do I lessons on Dartmoor. You see I ride this pony called Rocky but the thing is is that he has never jumped in his life!

  • @SamandRockyrock That's okay if you do other stuff along with the dressage, for the horses sake!

But jumping is lots and lots of fun =]

  • @SamandRockyrock oh god, same, im not allowed to jump yet, which is insane cos i jump elsewhere!!! >:(

  • you REALLY have to flex your heel and landwith ur weight in your feet--your anchor--im surprised you didnt get dumped w/such a shallow heel...and should you have been doing a 1.10 with an 18 YO, especially if the horse passed away a while later...that seems to be pushing it a little....

  • @jumpergurl4190 really very true!

  • Thanx ally

  • @jumpergurl4190 I respect your concerns. This is only 1m, and we were schooling 1.20m which he was doing with ease. If he was having trouble, i'm sure my instructor would have seen this. And he passed away due to colic, nothing to do with overwork.

Here I am 12, now its 3/4 years later and I am training a few young/troublesome horses. I assure you, all critisicm you have stated has been fixed. Please, read the description.

  • Ok, thank you!

  • I must say, i agree with eventerx33

  • impulsion comes from your legs not from moving your upper body.

way to pat him and let him know he's doing such a good job, also.

  • Read the description.

  • i did, actually. however you did the same to my video. just returning the favor.

  • On your video you never said it was a bad day or that the horse had passed away and how long it was.

And, I was patting him because my Mum would tell me off for smacking him and I needed to calm him down.

Also, impulsion comes from your seat and your legs, your upper body is for balance and control of the head.

    So, you were incorrect.

  • hmm, did the "added" date not give away how long ago it was? or did you bother to see my replys on other comments? or even gauge my ability as a rider through my other (RECENT) videos? no. you are not my trainer. your opionon couldnt mean less to me. and for the upper body comment - i was meaning "driving" with your shoulders gets you nothing but unbalanced.

  • If my opinion doesn't matter, why are you so offended?

And what does that have to do with anything, I did not drive with my shoulders at all in this video. It's impossible to drive with your shoulders.

  • I think this is a really nice job overall. I would've suggested using your crop at each fence that he a)refused the time before or b)was just a little unsure about. Use it a half stride before the jump, so that he's already committed to jumping it. It will reinforce your authority for the next jump. I know you said you don't even have this horse anymore, but this tip will work on any horse. You had a little too much upper body movement in an effort to push him forward, as well. Cute horse!

  • geeze i have a correction on my comment before, each refusal you yank on the reins soo hard my gos your horse wont have a mouth ease up!!

  • When we bought him he had a ewe neck, if you look closely you can see the giant muscle underneath his neck so there is no way in hell I would have been able to lower his head if I tried.

If you look, I fall on his neck at each refusual and I push my hands against his wither on the last stride. Afterwatds I see where your coming from, but he already had "lost his mouth" before I got him, he could barely feel the bit and it was only a snaffle. Also, I wasn't very strong physcally

  • P.s. I understand your criticism however it is wasted on me, this video is 2-3 years old, this horse has passed away, my riding has changed to deal with a young horse who bolts. I appreciate your concern though :)

  • well if he is 18 no duh he did well, my gosh does he ever look good for that old a horse, on the fist refusal clip did you see how he got his head up really high, dont keep pulling that hurt his mouth alot loosen the reins and he will slow down, he was just trying to get his head, but your an amazing rider!!

  • i think you would have done better if you tryed not to pull the reins alot

  • Probably, but this was 2 nearly 3 years ago now

  • You had a lot more patience then i would have had with my horse! good job

  • wow your a fab rider! & hes a very cute horse! :)

  • woah .. amazing for an 18 year old! wow! he is too cute! (:

  • je moet je benen er meer bij houden en hem in houden en goed uit tellen!!!

alles doe je noet zo goed

  • i like the song by queen in the background lol

and btw dont worry everyone has their bad days ;)

  • you were right to pat him, a stop etc shakes a horse up as much as it can do to the rider =] rice riding =] x

  • woah his really good for an 18 year old.

  • well i think ur a wonderful rider.. good enough not 2 fall off thats all that madders...lol n i love ur horse hes gorgouse. and i give mine a pat even if he dose mess up... :)

  • sorry to hear the pony passed away :( hes very pretty and looks really willing. nice riding too!

  • you ride very well, and your horse was absolutely beautiful. it's a shame he passed. good luck in the future, i'm certain you'll do well.

  • i think you ride brilliantly, but when you knocked down that pole you looked back. remember not to! lol and dont pat your pony when it refuses, it will think it can do it again! h/she is gorgeous though, really nice markings and he jumps those jumps with ease, got real scope about him. keep going! xxx

  • Hey,

Just wanted to say to you guys who are saying that "He's got alot of scope" and giving me advice as to how to ride this pony, he was 20 years old and died two years ago. You can comment on my riding and his ability but giving me advice about how to ride him is almost useless.

I'm not trying to be harsh but I have said this before and I am just re-pointing it out =)

  • you have a super-pony (y) :D

  • i think you were good =]

  • I thought you did really well! My pony currently refuses ALOT and I've had to work really hard with her. It's better to keep pushing on that pull back at the last minute. It's not about how old they are to how high they can jump it's what condition they're in and I thought that horse was in great condition with a great rider on.

    xx

  • Hey, Why The Personal Attack? This Horse Was 20 And Even Though I Couldn't Ride (This Video Was When I Was 12 And I Galloped At The Last One Cause If You Could Hear The Person In The Background Was Egging Me On) I Know Ride A 6 Year Old That I Have Owned And Trained For 2 Years Now And I Get Trained By John Cottle, Nicky Pope And Allan Goodall And Allan Has Even Offered Me A Job To Train His Young Horses, I'm Even Getting An Unbroken Thoroughbred So I Have Improved Since This Video, 2 Years Ago

  • okay well don't blame me, you didnt say that in the description,

and dont complain about the horse being 20, cause then you shouldnt be jumping that big if the horse sucks so much,

andi dont care how old you werer

it still sucked, i havent seen any vids of you now and i really dont care

im just saying in this video your not that good.

  • But why say that anyway? What pleasure do you get out of telling riders how crap you think they are? Do you really think your opinion is that important?

Cause no one else does, sweetie. Sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • 'freedom of speech'? It's called slamming, and I do care, cause I'm sick of seeing it all over youtube.

Oh, and I like how you have no videos of yourself riding on here, yet you find it ok to slam everyone else's riding.

  • She's beter than you tho scwxxo!!!!

  • she jumped very well. you just need to get a life scwxxo. it would be fun to watch you attemp jumping if your so good.

  • well you should shut the fuck up cause i never said i was amazing did i?I do think im better then this though, and its my opinion its called freedom of speech you little bitch

  • Hey, don't have a go at her, theres no need to act all snobby and use swear words, you can just talk without having to curse at someone.

Look at the video name; "A Bad Day"

My friend wishes to say something:

    stop whinging ya bitch

  • wtf is ur problem!!! don be mean!!!

  • scwxxo, lets see some videos of you jumping?

Get a life offline you immature brat

  • We don't see any videos of you riding, do we ?

  • Who's this a reply to?

  • the comment was to scwxxo

Sorry if i sent it to you lol :P

  • @xMeerkatsxHorses That's okay! I was just going to say if you directed it towards me, I have plenty of videos of my riding! ^-^

  • I Accept Critism Yet Only If Its Contructive Critism. Just Saying "You Suck" Is Not Constructive Critism.

  • Man your an ass! Yes constuctive criticism is good but you dont need to be a bum about it!

  • i love your horse

    it's beautiful :)

  • nice i dnt think u need a whip girl u got it undercontrole!!

  • a whip is a perfectly legal training aid and she was not misusing it. some horses do need it for motivation.

  • good, the first time u looked at the jump.. wich is why yur horse refused, nice job

  • it's not because you looked at the jump.

but because she was looking down, it shifted her shoulders forward, putting weight on the horses shoulders. encouraging him to stop :)

  • Ah maz hing!!

  • Well done! I like you stroked him before going on :D.. GOOD riding!!!

  • oh well done!

    that was really good!

    that horse is gorgeous

    and fast:)

    well done excellent riding:)xx

  • you rode him really well , shame he refused, would have been a gr8 round , oh and so what if he's 18 my horse puzzle is 15 and jumps 4'6

  • Because usually by that age the tissue in the joints have broken down significantly. Some older horses can handle the stress of jumping, others cannot. Every horse is different.

My old 18yr old mare was retired at 17 from show jumping (only 3ft!) because of her bad joints, but the famous Grand Prix Show Jumper, Robinson, was still competing at 19. (Maybe older?) It really just depends on the vet's evaluation of your horse's health. (Which should be done yearly.)

  • Hes lovely :) i had a 25year old pony, when i was about 9, would jump the moon for me! often cleared 3ft6, and he was only 14hh.. proves that as long as a horse is kept ticking over and is healthy, theres no need for them to stop at like 17/18

    Well donee here :)

  • your jumping really high if ur ponys 18!

    it was great to whact!

    you rode him really well!

    ponyLOVAR!

  • deadly lttle rider !!!!pony being anoying hard luck ur a good rider :)

  • you rode him really well!!

  • you ride him or her really well my boy does that every time i get to biggr jums he is getting through it slowly ... have fun riding

    chow :)

  • Great job! He's so cute. NICE jumps, too.

  • good job rideing

  • 18??? :O

that horse does NOT look 18 looks more like 10 to me :)

great riding. i hate it when people get angry with horses wen they go rong but youu were really nice, kind but forward ridng

    well done good video x

  • that was good he only refussed twice but you got him ova it and thats the main thing :)

  • not bad at all! On my old lesson horse (a greeen arabian don't ask) I ended up on the ground like 6 times a lesson! We maybe jumped 3 times sucessfully? lol we were both pretty bad...

  • a green horse or do u mean fresh ??????

  • They backed him recently and he still freaks out when you mount, or do much of anything. He's bad at ques and it's bad... real bad. Pretty green but a ways in.

  • aww u rode him well

    so good for 18 !

i cant sit to refusals :S

  • Hes great. And you done the right thing when he refused. HAha, You have a brown saddle! I want one but all the ones i look at are proppa expensive :|

  • that pony is soo cute!! i cant believe he is that old!!

  • Oh my lord, your paint looks so much like my paint! I can't even believe it! He is soo gorgeous! I swear they could be twins! Except mine is a mare and shes 11. But that just amazes me how similar they look and move alike.

  • Cant believe he is 18, hey it wasnt that but and they r living things too so bound to have off days, mine does all the time, if she wants to jump she will if she doesnt u have no chance lol! Well done x

  • awesome rider!!!

    love the horse too

  • That pony is cute cute cute!

  • WELL DONE!!! Oh Well We All Have Bad Days But If This Was me It would be A good day!!! You are amazing and your pony is soooo cute well done for sitting those refusals!!!!!!!! Wish i could ride like you!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxxx

  • i have to say your horse is STUNNING i love coloureds and the markings on him are lovely!

Everyone has bad days , well dealt with tho :D

hes doing very well for an 18 yrold :)

    xx

  • good job though everyone has off days and maybe Queen didn't recognize the jump and needed a glimpse first

  • great u look great with that horse and i think u jump asweome too!!! haha love ur horse

  • You and your horse look really good together, it's nice to see that some riders out there don't smack there horse and scream at them when they refuse. A refusal at the first is very off-putting - I should know! but you did a great job and you and your horse jump beautifully together, you can see you have a great bond, good luck for the future!

  • i agreee i think its sick how people do that to their horses i have horses and wen they refuse i just calm them down and do it again and again until their comfirtuble!(spelled it wrong!) i think she looks great with that horse perfect match perfect!!!she did a great jump i think!

  • REALLY flashy horse. <3

  • I love how bohemian rhapsody is playing in the background :)

  • HOLY CRAP HOW OLD ARE YOU???? that's awsome!!!! you're amazing!!!!!! P.S i LOVE QUEEN!!!!!!! LOL the music in the background while you were jumping was awsome! ROCK On!

  • In this video I was 12.

  • You have a whip, use it. It comes in handy when the horse dosn't want to listen. Before every jump urge him to go on over the jump. If he dosn't, that's too bad, you give him a smack on the shoulder.

  • xD You Comment Cracked Me Up, No Offense. If You Had Read My Other Replies You Would Know...I USUALLY Use My Whip, And I Certainly Do Now, This Horse Was Over 20. My Mother Always Complained That I Always Used My Whip And I Wasnt In The Mood To Deal With Her. And It Does Say "A Bad Day" Not Just Unlucky, But I Was Riding Bad. Thank You For The Comment, However

  • how high is that? i looks about 2'9 3'0 idk i wasn't there lol

  • even if u dident have a good day u can sure tell your horse was having a blast

  • cool, he doesnt look like hes 18! and he jumps really good!!!

  • Omg :O

you have the pretiest colourd iv ever seen

well done the course looks quite big

and trrust me i have more bad days than good ones

    x-spt i usually fall off :L

    well done though

  • This horse is really cute!:D And i am sure you tried your best for this competition!!! We all have bad days once a while!

  • No faster way to kill your confidence than having your horse refuse the first jump. Good for sticking with it; he pulled a fast one with that second refusal.

  • He was a good pony though, thank you for the comment. He was definiatly cheeky though!

  • woow, fair play, excillent riding.

Just a bad day with the horse, but you did well to recover and not give it!

  • i remember that day it was not your best lol

but sniffy jumped awesomely other tanh thoose few miss haps lol

    he was a sweetie

    R.I.P

  • Oops x)

  • F.A.B horse LOVE!

    And F.A.B song love Queen!

  • I Didn't Add The Song, They Played It In The Background =P

Like I Said Before, I Don't Think Snifter Liked Queen!

    =P

  • Lovely horse!

Is that Bohemian Rhapsody in the backround? I love that song!

    Great riding!

  • (also if you guys noticed after the first fence it was too late to whack him cause i was away from the fence and he was about to bolt. I had to hold him. Haha i remember after this I was a lil peeved so I went outside to do some more jumps and I accidently jumped 1.15m oxer =P)

  • I hear Queen in the backround!! LOL!! Good job! Love ur horse!!

  • hehe yesh they played music while the rounds went.

I reckon Snifter just didnt like Queen...

    LOL

  • When he does jump he does it great :D Shame about those few fences. Your a great rider :)

  • nice horse good ride

  • XD Love the song that's in the backround.

Nice horse too. I'm gonna jump something that big one day...

  • love that he is a paint, i compete with my paint horse in show jumping and you rarely see other paints/pintos

  • Well done!

Can I use your video for my horse film?

  • i would love it if you did!

do you want me to send it to you? can i have your msn if so :)

  • No, I got a program for that :D

  • haha im just looking through my old videos and GOSH do i look small on him! he looks so big but hes only 14hh!!! lolsness i always look small on any horse haha its quite funny! and i SHOULD have whacked him but if you saw all my other refusals on my other vids that i didnt put on i DID whack him, but my mum used to tell me off anf couldnt be shived dealing with her again. But yes, well all miss you Snifter!
