I play the game, and I agree it is a "clone" to some extent. But I would rather play a FREE game, that is still hella good even though it is a Clone of WoW, then to pay 15 Dollars a Month!

RoM has been out for two years and can already be named as the best free mmorpg and one of the best mmorpgs in general. WoW has been out since 2002 (not sure because I don't play WoW but somewhere around there) and it is known as the best mmorpg out there. All I have to say is give RoM one to two more years and WoW will die.

@rimiko86 Item mall game ?? You have no idea what your talking about. Every item in the item shop you can get in game with in game coins. You can trade coins to other players and all the weapons and armor in the item shop give no stats at all. Just for show. Even the pets that you can buy don't even attack, they just follow you around. The only good thing about the item shop is mounts and I can get the best mount in the game for $10. And WoW wates $15 a month. Nice try NOOB but I know my facts.

I think this was a great video! But may i add that I'm sick of people the rage about world of warcraft, while i hardly see any wowplayers that place a comment. It seems that the hate towards wow is way bigger then the reason given for all the hating on it. youtube isn't full of comments from wowplayers that go around saying "wow owns all" "if you don't play wow you should die"etc... you wowhaters are far more annoying then wowers themselfs... get a grip will ya??

I really dont like this this game!, The toons are very blocky and animations r kinda crap!, dont feel as tho u are hittin the mobs. Im used to Shaiya which is much faster and interface is alot cleaner. Really dont see the big deal in this game.

RoM is in my opinion much better for many reasons, and don't forget there are MILLIONS of offers, half price off diamonds, (Diamonds: In-game money but the great thing is you don't need it RoM gives you alot of gameplay for free mostly you just need diamonds for MEGA upgrades and custom stuff) It's free, and it's updating well ^^

I bought Star Trek Online before playing Runes of Magic, thinking it would be a great MMO...STO followed the WoW business model and did $15 a month subs and $300 Lifetime, after a couple months the entire game became unpopulated...w/o lots of players MMO's don't work. I paid out $70 for STO + a 6 month sub for a failure MMO! =(
Runes of Magic is a 10/10! Great Game w/ lots of content and friendly players. They offer thousands of quests and lots of content for FREE!
Just discovered this game in August. It is FREE, if you download it do so at night (depending on your broadband speed) mine took like 6hrs @ 1Mbps Up/6Mbps down. This review is not accurate, Runes of Magic is not a WoW clone. To be a true clone they would've extrapolated the entire game using WoW & its game engine, which they did not. The fact that it is always FREE means the game is always populated too, this I love! By August they reached over 4 million users. XD
well some people think wow is best. I don't blame them, they have to find a way to justify the 40euros they spent for every upgrade plus all the money they gave for every month's fee. Personally i will choose the free "clone", pay nothing more than just a couple of hours for entertainment! I like this game, quite fun!
I played the game for a very long time. I loved every minute of it. I joined an extremely helpful and chatty guild, was able to enjoy many high-end dungeon runs, and great armor/weapons.
If you're looking for an MMORPG that is free, I'd suggest this one, try the elves, just make sure to get a permanent mount. Even if this was an exact copy of WoW who cares! It's a fun, free game. Why all you WoW fanboys get mad because a game is similar to your p2p game is beyond me. Who cares, you just keep paying to play your game and we will have just as much fun playing our free, somewhat similar, game.
I love WoW but life turned me into a casual player:((. I can`t afford paying 5$ and play 8 hours on weekends only, but i used to be like you 4-5 years ago, defending it, loving it, playing like mad, getting wipes in MC all night, farming AB and AV all day, getting suspended all the time for abusing noobs in the LFG channel:)). It was a great community, amazing experience and worth the money at that time in my life.

@wappa285 It has similarities to runescape, such as the wood gathering & mining...basically crafting in general, and there are quests but its 3D and it is different from Runescape. Just play the game, its free, you might end up liking it! =)

the mechanics of the game seem good but the stupid graphics just wreck it for me. I prefer either realistic graphics like warhammer online or anime stlye like silkroad.
I think runes of magic is gay in my opinion because it's too cartoonish and pvp gameplay sucks you just attack no cool skills always laggy and it's not my computer cuz I play games with better graphics and no lag a cool game I think is Silkroad online it has bad ass pvp

Im realizing that they are not leget as im spending more time on these games im realizing that most are better than he makes them seem or some are really worst. RoM is in my opinion much better for many reasons, and don't forget there are MILLIONS of offers, half price off diamonds, (Diamonds: In-game money but the great thing is you don't need it RoM gives you alot of gameplay for free mostly you just need diamonds for MEGA upgrades and custom stuff) It's free, and it's updating well ^^

I bought Star Trek Online before playing Runes of Magic, thinking it would be a great MMO...STO followed the WoW business model and did $15 a month subs and $300 Lifetime, after a couple months the entire game became unpopulated...w/o lots of players MMO's don't work. I paid out $70 for STO + a 6 month sub for a failure MMO! =(
Runes of Magic is a 10/10! Great Game w/ lots of content and friendly players. They offer thousands of quests and lots of content for FREE!

Just discovered this game in August. It is FREE, if you download it do so at night (depending on your broadband speed) mine took like 6hrs @ 1Mbps Up/6Mbps down. This review is not accurate, Runes of Magic is not a WoW clone. To be a true clone they would've extrapolated the entire game using WoW & its game engine, which they did not. The fact that it is always FREE means the game is always populated too, this I love! By August they reached over 4 million users. XD

well some people think wow is best. I don't blame them, they have to find a way to justify the 40euros they spent for every upgrade plus all the money they gave for every month's fee. Personally i will choose the free "clone", pay nothing more than just a couple of hours for entertainment! I like this game, quite fun!

I played the game for a very long time. I loved every minute of it. I joined an extremely helpful and chatty guild, was able to enjoy many high-end dungeon runs, and great armor/weapons.
If you're looking for an MMORPG that is free, I'd suggest this one, try the elves, just make sure to get a permanent mount. There are helpful add-ons you can download from curse.com and lots of helpful websites about everything if you look for them. Have an awesome day all who read this. Haters and Likers alike.

Even if this was an exact copy of WoW who cares! It's a fun, free game. Why all you WoW fanboys get mad because a game is similar to your p2p game is beyond me. Who cares, you just keep paying to play your game and we will have just as much fun playing our free, somewhat similar, game.

I love WoW but life turned me into a casual player:((. I can`t afford paying 5$ and play 8 hours on weekends only, but i used to be like you 4-5 years ago, defending it, loving it, playing like mad, getting wipes in MC all night, farming AB and AV all day, getting suspended all the time for abusing noobs in the LFG channel:)). It was a great community, amazing experience and worth the money at that time in my life.

@wappa285 It has similarities to runescape, such as the wood gathering & mining...basically crafting in general, and there are quests but its 3D and it is different from Runescape. Just play the game, its free, you might end up liking it! =)

This game seems more.... Interactive than wow lol, i mean gathering nodes isnt just for crafting, it also helps your guild evolve/grow.
And who cares about graphics, has long it has a good gameplay and its fun im fine with it.

@OhmegadJT On WoW I got a level 80 priest and a level 80 rogue. Go to the EU wow armory and check for Hermal and Dolefish for proof if you want.
I can tell you people that WoW sucks soon after hitting 80. You slam right into a wall where you either raid (which gets boring) or level a new character all over again. I am going to try RoM just for the hell of it. But don't let this stupid prick put you off with his "poor" comments. Either he is a rich snob or he is looking for a fight to be an ass.
