I agree that we should be spending money in the ghettos instead of on wars, but putting this in a song- a quote from a wise old man, no less, doesn't help that cause, it just makes adds another piece of garbage to the canon of awful protest music. Ditto for Columbus. If this song isn't played on the radio, it's not because, as Jean so modestly says, it's "rebel music." It's because it sucks.
