Something strange. I have bought that book and read it completely. However, the book shown by Chavez looks thicker to me than the one they sell here in the US.
Imperialism my mother's cunt. This cancer-riddled bag of shit is not an anti-imperialist, he's anti-western. Chavez has extended relations with Russia and China and allowed their interference in his country. Because he knows that if he were to piss of the U.S., Russia and China simultaneously, his days would be numbered. All countries are not equal, this is a world run by superpowers. Anti-imperialism is a fucking sham.
@AmericanBadass44 You clearly, beyond any possible doubt, have absolutely no capacity whatsoever to think so much as one letter beyond shallow slogans and platitudes. You're a mindless puppet without the faintest clue that a hand up your ass is forming all the words for you, still less do you have the foggiest insight into precisely whose hand it might be.
Google "Dunning-Kruger effect", and look in a mirror
@ninjashade411 will most of my relatives live there and they say opposite, that is the majority of the population support him, however, they do have money problems that were mainly the result of IMF economic cuts.
If you want to know how the UN is very much a part of ORGANIZED CRIME, protected, feel free to check out my video "THE UNTIED NATIONS. RUN FROM THEM!! RUN FAST!!"
Pat Tillman spoke to Mr. Chomsky shortly before he was assassinated. Many believe Noam is a CIA operative, for many reasons, too.
This man would be dead, via assassination, if he was not one of them, if he was not allowing other things to go on in his country. He's another Noriega. CIA drugs anyone?
@TheAsymmetrical Prove he isn't. Do you think Pat Tillman would still be alive if he hadn't shared some insightful info with him prior to getting three bullets to his head from an order given to a man in Pat's unit?
I'm almost done with that book. It's great. I'm I assure you that you'll be shock and stunned by what you will learn in it. It coves so many issues that the US media conceals to the publics.
, US policies, exploitation of Haiti for over 100 years killed ten thousands, Haiti was once one of the richest countries in the Caribbean. By the way, Cuba offered over 1500 doctors and 26 tons of medicine aid for the US gulf coast when it was hit by Katrina, US rejected.
He has written/co-written 105 fucking books. Hugo Chavez, Morales, Castro are underrated, they are flawed but far more democratic and humanistic than Obama, Berlusconi, Narkozy, Merkel, Cameron. Chavez also made "Open Veins Of Latin America" a bestseller when he gave it to Obama and as a result was translated into English. It's about the history from European colonialization to US economic exploitation and US installed dictators.
Where did the money come from to build those companies?Exxon,Crystallex ,etc.developed those assets with shareholder money. The TRUTH is, Chavez is a THIEF.He stole billions of $ from pensioners. That is the fact that leftist state media omits. When did Chavez pay them for their work?People work a lifetime to save and invest to live on that money in their old age.Chavez STEALS the work of one man and gives it to another. How is that being a hero?My friends in Caracas don't deserve this tyrant,
all of mankind is under to much control but if somthing ever happened to venezuela like a earthquake or whatever the usa would be the first ones there with relief aid can you say that about any of thee other countries even your own alliances would probably not show as fast as the us so think about that chavez all in all americas a fair country
@redbulljustice99 They never mention that most of that aid has to be paid back at extremely high interest rates. This isn't like the Federal Reserve bailing out banks at .25% interest.
No, US wouldn't. They generally only support countries if they conform with US policies/economic interests. See Hussein, who was supported by US during his worst atrocities (gassing Kurds), when they fought Iran, invaded Kuwait... When Hussein turned his back on USA, switched to trading in EURO, USA sanctioned Iraq which had devastating effects on the population, ten thousands died. Alleged WMDs were the perfect pretext for the US to invade Iraq. US helped Haiti, great...
@MiVotoEsNoPositivo fascist?.. "too many people has died already"?? where do you get your information? Chavez is a courageous supporter of the people.
@RomanianCynical Stupid and manipulative? She was infact exceptionally good. Not only quick to translate, but the translation comes out as fluid and as colorful as the source itself. Much better than the dead monotonic yet jerky pattern some translators produce.
You see what your government to you. People around the world shouting "fuck america" and you are proud of it for some reason. I know the american people are not killers and provoker but your government is. Your government is too much powerful that it will take over the world for its resources and it will soon take over you and make no mistake people with power and no one is watching over them (you) have no limit to what they will do. You must speak before they COME TO YOU.
it is up there as the second best book I have ever read, outdone only by the conference of the birds by Farid Attar, and followed closely by confessions of an economic hitman (I forget the author but it is a great read), and Failed states, also by Noam Chomsky. It amazes me how someone with such an in depth understanding of modern history is given little to no airtime in the media, but facists like Rober Spencer and Pamela Geller are all the talk, truely the features of a failing state!
Would you care to explain your statements, if you can call them that? Merely saying someone is garbage is not enough I'm afraid... Plus I would love the opportunity to disagree, yet I have no idea what you are basing these on.
@TremendoGallo whoooo! someone's getting shakey. you should wish to be squared garbage like chomsky his credentials are far and above those of bush cheney rice etc, and i presume they are way way above yours. but you'll be ok as i don't suppose B.O.Bill and fox news are going anywhere anytime soon but then you've also got your daytime soaps and "celebrity reality" shows. you poor dear, never mind hey
if an american president goes to venezuela and says things like this guy about the governement of venezuela he'll be shot on site...now chomsky...don't you feel lucky to live in the states and say what ever you want about it?
@tscholent American presidents have said far worse in other countries,Farfrom being shot, the CIA have assasinated many presidents.Te cia tried to overthrow Chavez in 2002..You should read Chomskys book and check all the facts,it will be a big eyeopener
Long live the courageous Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian liberation movements of South America! It was because comrade Hugo Chavez that I know about Noam Chomsky, and what a contribution of knowledge and enlightenment it as been.
@wnxsilence shitsilence seems that you dont live in Venezuela , Chavez in Venezuela is like a Cancer , worst he talks a lot a delivers little. Alone he has screwed venezuelas economy , decimated the media and made it an instrument of the goverment and crime and the civil liberty has gone into the dumpster> the propaganda machine makes happy every communist that hears his ideology , the reality is that Venezuela is not moving forward and the people of Venezula know this greetings from CUmana VZ
@fish1597 LOL yeah ignorant Americans, or the Venezuelan super-rich elite surely hate Chavez. Ofcourse, I would be worried more if you scum-bags liked Chavez than hated him.
The only thing that matters is what the Venezuelan people believe, and I know ordinary Venezuelans disregard the U.S-funded regime change, and coup supporting opposition "media" and their rich Venezuelan contributors.
Fuck the Venezuelan elite! I hope Chavez deports you parasitic trash to the USA where you belong.
@fish1597 Yes, that's right I know people like you and the Venezuelan elite want to return to the days when Venezuela was the most unequal country in Latin America. However, this will only happen in your dreams.
It would be great to see Chavez confiscate your property, and expropriate your land of all former Venezuelan elites.....then you can go live in the land of freedom USA hahahaha
@wnxsilence dumbsilence , i am glad that i dont own anything, what makes you think i come from the elite? your ignorant way of thinking , that thinks everyone against Chavez is from the elite or has money?get real> my family comes from very modest means , my grandmother an orinoco indian WTF do you think? In my family htere are high ranking Vz military and they have to lie to keep their positions. When was the last time you went to Venezuela,i was there last month , next time come and look urself
@wnxsilence Chavez confiscates property to affect those who are opposing him , But gives it to his buddies that dont know what to do because they have never produced anything , that is why with al the oil money our economy has not grown ln the last two years the bolivar is devaluated to 50 % and thir is loss of oil production.maybe yiou can take a plane and come to maracaibo and enjoy the shortages that have become common, and by the VIVAN LOS HIJOS LIBRES DE CUMANA!! translate if u can shithead
How come this guy Chavez speaks with such wisdom and the ring of truth - when he is supposed to be a raving looney, according to Fox, CNN and the rest of them?
@vjwebster you must be crazy if you dont see hes looney......., maybe yiou should change your glasses and get some hearing aids , maybe you are deaf, blind and your ideolgy is getting uon the way of commom sense
@fish1597 Well, all I can say is - I can see Olivers Stone's point of view, but I can't really see yours - except for some name-calling, which proves nothing.
@vjwebster I just need you to come to Venezuela , you are talking ideolgy and the reality on the ground here is different, oliver s stone is a movie maker looking for controversy and not really seeing who he affects . talk is cheap but getting things done takes a lot of effort, Chavez is a talker not a doer , he came as a reformer and now is a king looking for a kingdom intoxicated with power an a brain that cant carry him over his rhetoric.
@fish1597 Perhaps it is you who's ideology is getting in the way of his beliefs. You don't see the reality, and you condemn those who do see as being the blind ones. That is a very sad and pathetic thing to do. It's clear you don't truly know about Venezuela. Only vague twisted ideas which you have not even thought up yourself. You have deceived yourself into becoming a monstrosity of propaganda, and little reasoning, and you do so while trying to convince others otherwise. Get a life.
@JessAtlas jackass dont try to tell me with a snobish attitude that i dont make any sense, tel me when was the last time that you left to Venezuela? perhaps i can bet that you must be a student in an elite university that your parents pay and that is wht you think so high up that nobady can make you understand the realityof the country of Venezula , i can bet you might not even work to keep even your bills. If you read enough and know how to use a computer you might find the info/get ur head out
Kudos Mr Chavez from Malaysia. Talk & advice your fellow leaders of the South to stand up & speak up to the Neo Con devil worshipper lap dog filthy killer in the USA & London with the exception American & British people are our generally decent human.
I agree with Hugo. Noam is an American treasure and I wish we would listen to him. Howard Zinn too tried to warn us about what our government is really about. These guys are real heroes. Hugo is a socialist, so what? He does care about his people and his country, that is what's important. Judge him by his actions. Judge Obama by his actions and you'll see that Hugo is a saint by comparison. Forget labels, they mean nothing and are a distraction from reality.
@deenie1219 maybe you should also read the amnesty international ,human rights watch and the oas study on Chavez human rights violations , stop the ideology and look at whats happening, just because he talks against the us you think he can do whatever he wants....., hugo Chavez came as a reformer and now he is a dictator.......
@fish1597 Yes he is a small time dictator! But, what do you consider your state to be? It is one of the most Fascist states, between the rich ones, of this time! You talk about human rights, why don’t you look what is happening to your country. Your anti terror law, that spread all over the world, is the worst thing that could happen to human rights! USA is terrorizing entire countries! It brutally tortures other countries! Victim its self of our lovely Monetary system ctr…
@MrGenseric I am from Venezuela and the worst part is that peoole like you blame the US and don't look at the rest of the world, seem that the Russians and the chinese and others are doing the same thing , your ideals are fogging your head and not being impartial. I have seen the same thing from all others and i am not impressed i live in the us most of the time and see they are ay least trying. On the other hand the time i spend in Vz i have seen an unusual amount of corruption in my country
@fish1597 My friend, the big deference between them is that they don’t preach about freedom!Other than that u r right they r about the same.I am from Greece and I feel to my skin this monetary system and its corruption.I am referring to a state not the people!I am sure they r trying, here we try to, but as it seems, not enough!Europe is transforming in to a police state in the American model and Politicians are mere executives for corporations and total slavery is coming with a strong pace.
@MrGenseric and do you know why they dont preach freedom? because that is not what there for, at least we need to have a system that makes democratic decisions and not leaving the future of the country in a dictators hands that just talks and does very little, Unfortunately the world is full of lousy politicians in every system that they do very little other than keeping the rhetoric going....
@sulang85 you are right its better to get even, still i dislike anyone that wants to stay in power forever. that is the reason that kings are not welcome anymore. If at least he will stop talking shit and started to work for his couintry!!! , he talks a lot and does very little, and keeps blaming everyone else for Venezuelas problem except himself.....
Yo know what's sad? that most people over here support hugo chavez only because he read this or that or in this case Cites Chomsky, Chomsky can be a genius and I respect that, the deal is respect the ideas and opinions about something. But one thing Im not going to accept from you is that you guys respect and some others admire hugo chavez and most of you dont even know whats happening inside venezuela is not about big corporation, the news, is about a whole fuck up thing and a big lie.
wolf400 the country has always been in a state, but now its back in the hands of the the right people and not the cancer riddled corprate america,, ive nuttin else to say to you
hegemonic o survival exelent book chavez king socialismo the XXI noah chomski a genius. filosofo a master ....viva venezuela abajo el imperialismo norteamerican ..
hell we can tell a lot of examples of bad countries from both sides but that's not entirely related only with if they're capitalist or communist, u are dumb if u think that. I crearly stated "his socialism" im talking about hugo chavez as a dictator and a crazy man full of shit. Oh and we can prove by history that communism is a failure so fuck chavez we will see him soon in a court and later in a jail. stop supporting a men that u not even know what have done to us as a country and as citizens
The corporate MSM will run this clip endlessly to trash "the evil dictator" Chavez. Chomsky gets endless exposure here. But in an actual interview? Do that, and you'd be blacklisted from TV forever.
@juangardiaz lol dude I work and Im not begging for money like chavez supporters here in venezuela so stfu and watch some news from venezuela hope u get updated about the situation over here
@wolf400 The news presents an extremely limited picture of how things are in any place. The 'news' is owned by big corporations who present a certain picture, the one they want to present. Open a book its much better unless you'd rather live in lala land.
I invite you all to go to Venezuela right now... all you commies wannabe, I bet you to go there and walk on the streets of caracas or any other city in Venezuela and see if you survive. Venezuela right now is a dangerous place where most bizarre things happens. Is a mess in general and all that is thanks to Hugo Chavez. Dont praise him if you don't really know our situation in Venezuela, its a disrespect for us. Just go there and see how great is his Socialism.
@wolf400 You are right, and it has been going on for years.Looking up to ppl like Mao and Stalin as so called 'socialists' when they were nothing of the sort.Totalitarian maniacs under the banner of socialism, but some ppl dont wanna see the truth...and just because Che Guevara looks good on t-shirts so ppl dont wanna know how cruel he could be.
@wolf400 Ever been to the slums of South Africa, Nigeria, Guatemala, India, or countless other capitalist states? Tell me how great capitalism looks while you're there. Hell you don't even have to go that far, just take a trip to Flint or Detroit.
I have to say something about him, it is true, media sometimes can be shit specially when is one like Fox news. But let me tell you something fellas if you want to see the real Venezuela go to QUELACREO . com Most of these videos have been record by normal people with mobile phones. That's what really happens in the Venezuela of Hugo Chavez.
LES DIGO QUE MEXICO ES UN PAIS SIN CRIMEN COMPARADO CON VENEZUELA (MEXICO IS SAFE IN COMPARATIO). THATS NOT SOCIALISM THAT'S VENEZUELAN KILLIN EACH OTHER.
The USA is Jerusalem's puppet, period. If Noam Chomsky does not talk about "false Jews" (I don't know him yet) then it means he is one ! Chavez seems to be against the New World Order ? Bullshit ! He talks about socialism or comunism which were both created by false Jews (Zionists). The UN is Zionist and is being sabotaged to create a problem on all sides (environment, human rights, economy, religion etc) in order to justify a New World Order the opposite of the "end to this order of things"
Estoy de acuerdo con el presidente Venezolano! I agree w/Chavez... US policy has (nearly) always propped up exploitative right-wing regimes in Latin America (and around the world) to sustain our hegemony ... kind of a big DUH. But it's all a big SHHHHH... don't tell anyone.. in the US media & political establishment.
Lets not fool our selves. In the U.S. the democrats and the republicans are the same thing. Each carry out to complete the original task, which is world dominance. Ever since the fall of the Soviet they have had more freedom to do so, with no one to challenge them.
@Manolo1013 World dominance? i think I saw that on a movie, is the canadian air getting too cold and giving you a case of the craziess. I dont think that any goverment thinks on world dominance , all compete for the same thing economic and political power that is the same, the russians the chinese are not trying hard to do the same , you must be going to a canadian university thinking on some perfect world , bud start working and try to develop anything , find how life is and stop talking movies
WHAT A GANGSTER (an honorable one) aka respected one
to stand up with not a sword, but words in such a respectable manner to such high authorities of the world. One step closer to the truth. "Only truth triumphs."
Just like Vietnam, the purpose wasn´t winning the war, but keeping it for years. With dissent movements around the world, they have a pretext for making war, washing brains and making people believe in treaths, let ´em be fake or truth, and therefore to bring new laws and constitutional movements to gain control over people.
The same happened with Manuel Noriega in Panama on 80´s, he was supported by te US, but in 1989 they realized he wasn´t useful anymore, and they overthrew him.
They say many countries are better with the US than with soviets, but there are more countries that are worst than ever under capitalism.
Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras the US was implied always with dirty war, remember 80´s, even International Court on La Haya accused the US on violating human rights.
And of course, there are many fake communists, an example Stalin.
Stalin was a monster, state capitalist bastard trying to look like socialist, that´s why real socialists like Trotsky uprised against him. Even NIkita Jruchev uprised against Stalin, because his crimes.
Democracy is hard i know, but i know for sure it has nothing to do with capitalism.
It´s just as simple as to look around to realize that capitalism doesn´t work.
I don't see Chomsky as an intellectual because he has no new ideas. He is like a political professor that informs people about secret facts that he discovered. Intellectuals are like Guy Debord, Walter Benjamin, John Locke, Foucault etc. They have original ideas about society and how we live. Have you seen the debate with Chomsky and Foucault? Foucault says all our institutions are a form of repression, even university. Chomsky is stumped because that is his base and identity. Hypocrite!
The president of Venezuela goes to the speak at the UN about world affairs and talks about a book that he read. What an idiot? He can't think for himself, make his own opinions. Chomsky lives in a fantastical reality of partisan politics. He isn't an intellectual because he has no new ideas. He is a professor, he just spouts facts like a professor. He is a relic of a distant an historic "leftist intellectual" movement in the 60s and 70s.
Further:This man has obviously not 100 ppl ,which tell him what to do and what to say in the exact right time, which makes him way more sympatico than any of those retarted in the United States or here in Europe.
And you are wrong,"an intellectual is a person who uses intelligence and crytical or analytic thinking, either in personal or professional capacity."
@shurednichso I don't see Chomsky as an intellectual because he has no new ideas. He is like a political professor that tells people about secret he discovered. Hypocrite!
@emetds Wow! We got a little brainless fuck here, that defies the words of the experts of the world, with his own opinions that according to him, are the standpoint to determine what is good and bad.
I don´t know what you undesrtand as an intellectual, for me is a person with any idea trying to share bringing it to public opinion.
@goku1986007 I am American but I didn't invade Iraq. Just my Army and Government did that. Anyways democracy is hard to learn. The Iraqi borders were made by England. There are many people that weren't represented in Iraq. Such as the 20 million Kurds. So good for some people there, just not the ones that were in power. It is easy to make moral judgements regarding conflicts when it isnt your responicibility to make a judgement.
@goku1986007 The presidents that you mentioned were backed by Soviet governments. What about all the capitalist democracys that you didn't mentions?
Saddam Hussan (Iraq 2003)
Aldolf Hitler (Germany 1945)
Manuel Noriega (Panama 1983)
Etc,
capitalist or communist same thing. They are both about the various ways of distributing wealth and commotities. The US and any government that has power and is faced against a government will f* that itover if it starts something or feels threatened.
@goku1986007 These dictators were capitalist. Many communist dictators were also over thrown by the US. It really doesn't matter, the real question is if these dictators are not working with the US or threatening it. Then it will work on ways of causing them to have troubles and eventually change them. Why wouldn't the US do that? I am not sure your point.
@emetds Let´s cite Hussein, He was supported by the US and Great Britain for some years, he killed 5000 kurds in a pacific protest, and the US and Britts did nothing. But then when he invaded Kuwait in 1991, he disobeyed the orders of washington, and then he was atacked by NATO forces. The point is that they weren´t protecting people at all, they were protecting oil, capital, personal interests.
@goku1986007 I think the US put Saddam there to attack Iran because the Shaw took power and kidnapped Americans. It was a plot to cause problems for Iran. It worked for 7 years of fighting. Then Saddam turned on US by invading Kuwait. Trying to control oil. Also in 2000 Saddam changed the oil revenue to Euros instead of dollars. This made US mad, because it weakens dollar. So they decided to take down Saddam and install a new government. Geopolitics! US is the boss! Again Whats the point?
@emetds Political and economical hegemony, control of capital, that´s the point. As long as someone lives under the boots of washington, it´s considered a pretty normal state, but when a leader of a random state decides to take a different path than the blind and whole submission to the US, then it´s considered a treath for the US. It´s falsely portrayed as a terrorist sate, many times we feel the false need to deffend the nation declaring war an our invisible enemies.
@goku1986007 Saddam gased Kurds after the Kuwait invation. Why would the US help Kurds, seriously they don't have a powerful position? It wouldn't benefit the US to help them. That is the way the world works. Look at the massacures in Africa, now. The Congo, Sudan. Nobody cares. But little Israel is a big deal. Or Korea is big deal. Because these places are technological and therefor connected.
@emetds If i´m not wrong, kurds genocide happened on 1989, 2 years before war. Israel has been supplied for decades by the US, F-16´s, M-4´s. even nukes are between the supplies. But we never hear in the US that Israel is treath, even though they´re killing civilians in palestine they mention nothing.
But Iran, when it´s not even proved they´re developing nuclear technology, we hear they´re a menace, an evil state.
@goku1986007 Because Iran makes speeches like "death to US", it kidnapped Americans in the 70s. It isn't a democracy. Israel is a patron country of US. US stores stuff there. It has a skilled trained army that is allies with it. It even does millitary spying and survaillance favors for US during cold war. While Iran just says I want to nuke US and then begins building weapons. Iran had a fake election. Killing protestors.
@emetds But if we look to Israel we´ll find that the only thing they do is taking away properties from people in palestine, repression and submission. It´s the only thing, the difference is that Israel doesn´t make a speech about it.
Regarding to Iran, we gotta be carefull there, in the 80's when the US overthrew the sandinista gov in Nicaragua, misrepresentation of information was a common resource used by media to make Nicargua look as a treath, whe tey weren´t a treath at all.
@goku1986007 No you see enemies are quite real. Terrorism is real. The state of the world and each government is a reflection of the mind of people in the state. You see all of history is filled with war after war. Why do you think that the purpose of government is to bring peace to everyone? First they don't want peace. Everyone wants power also. A fair distrubtion of wealth is a delusion. The US isnt any different only better at wining the political game.
@emetds Actually it is,the US practiced for years real terrorism in middle-america, middle-east directly or indirectly supporting dissent groups agianst governments that were not cooperating with washington. That created an atmosphere of real and total terrorism, that now we see everywhere, figthing for power or survival.
But it´s clear governments are not fighting it, it´s just a pretext to keep on waring and making market movements.
@goku1986007 US isn't direct like many other nations. It will fund a government to do things for it, that benefit it. Rather than brutishly invading, except the Iraq war. All these dictators kill there own people, but they do that themselves. Who do you think funds Chomsky and supports him? He has his own patrons that are off shores. His ideas are bias to benefit the opposition to the US. That is because they probably fund him.
@emetds Doing things means making capitalism grow, transational corporations grow and expand, taking away natural resources, that´s what the US wants principally, no matter that causes deaths and devastation.
Middle-america is a good example about it. The CONTRA, a terrorist force responsible of many atrocities in Nicaragua, El Salvador, were trained and fund by the US government.
@emetds So are you faced with the Iraq conflict? Did Iraqies come to the US and killed your family? Did Iraqies killed your dog? Or burned you car? Or what did they do to you so you get this pissed off with them?
The invention of treaths has been for years the political movement of the US.
The only moral authority is that one the US has given himself to determine between good and bad.
@goku1986007 I think that Noam Chomsky as a political thinker is so mainstream. Everyone knows him. He is like coffee table anarchy. Martha Stewart still anarchy. There is nothing unique about his ideas. Especially if he is mentioned at the UN by Chavez. He isn't a rebel, just a really accessible "pop star radical". Gimme a break. Even his views on linguistics were proven wrong recently.
@emetds But there´s more information that fulfills the list, I mean the presidents that were put in the place of these ones, all of them were democratically elected by they´re respective people´s.
Suharto (put instead sukarno in Indonesia, he killed 700000 persons)
Francois Duvalier(Killed 200000 persons put instead Arisride in Haiti)
Augusto Pinochet(put instead Allende in Chile, some 10000 persons were killed or dissapeared)
@goku1986007 Ok. This is a true story. I had friend his father was in the government of Allende which was funded by Soviets. He was exiled and tortured by Pinochet and his son was raised in US. The Latin "left" was still functioning in the late 90s, when Pinochet left and the exiles moved back. He told me a friend of his father went to Palestine to meet with Arafat and Arafat gave him millions$ to fund the Palestinian cause in south america.
@goku1986007 So my point is, Why do people even care about a few settlements in the West Bank? The same people that support Palestine support the "left" in south america, Chavez, and Russia and Iran. But really they have no ideological connection between these places. Different governments, different religions, different. It is because they fund each other and promote their causes. Scratch your back you scratch my back. Same as US.
@emetds Allende government wa a democratically elected president in Chile on 1973, overthrown by US, and put Pinochet instead him.
Fund by soviets? We can´t assure that, but the gov. of allende was working good before they were overthew.
Soviet Union was the perfect pretext to invade some place. It could be some hook too, the US caused terror on pupulation, and they probably asked help from Russians, then it was done.
@emetds It´s a response to US excesive use of power. The problem is that we have created a moral authority to portray US as good, and leftwing as bad, without even asking about, or wondering why?
Te crisis of Cuban missiles is a clear example, why should we consider a menace the cuban missiles without considering Us missiles on Turley as a treath too?
@goku1986007 That depends on what media you look at. Obama is more "left", and the "right" is viewed as racist and close minded often now. In my opinion the "left" is a delusion. The left really don't care about worker rights and secularism as Marx intended it. Rather it is another form of control. The "left" has become a joke. What does Arafat, Chavez, Castro, etc, have to do with Marx? Nothing. It is easy for young people in college to fall into this over simplified view point.
@emetds Actually the Marxist ideal is a utopia, the leftwing since then has divided into many streams or political ways. There are some guys like Castro that have few or nothing to do with marx, even so Castro has established a good health system, education, sports
I'm RACIST for criticizing Obama.
TERRORIST because I'm not with Bush.
ANTISEMITIC for not supporting Rothschild Zionism.
TEABAGGER for supporting the Constitution.
TRUTH-ER for asking unanswered questions.
TRAITOR for whistle-blowing on my corrupt Government.
CONSPIRACY THEORIST for presenting documented facts.
TROLL for uploading news, videos, quotes and U.S.Atrocities.
ANTI-AMERICAN for supporting Constitutionalists like Dr. Ron Paul.

Pat Tillman spoke to Mr. Chomsky shortly before he was assassinated. Many believe Noam is a CIA operative, for many reasons, too.

Just like Vietnam, the purpose wasn´t winning the war, but keeping it for years. With dissent movements around the world, they have a pretext for making war, washing brains and making people believe in treaths, let ´em be fake or truth, and therefore to bring new laws and constitutional movements to gain control over people.
goku1986007 1 year ago
The same happened with Manuel Noriega in Panama on 80´s, he was supported by te US, but in 1989 they realized he wasn´t useful anymore, and they overthrew him.
They say many countries are better with the US than with soviets, but there are more countries that are worst than ever under capitalism.
Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras the US was implied always with dirty war, remember 80´s, even International Court on La Haya accused the US on violating human rights.
goku1986007 1 year ago
And of course, there are many fake communists, an example Stalin.
Stalin was a monster, state capitalist bastard trying to look like socialist, that´s why real socialists like Trotsky uprised against him. Even NIkita Jruchev uprised against Stalin, because his crimes.
Democracy is hard i know, but i know for sure it has nothing to do with capitalism.
It´s just as simple as to look around to realize that capitalism doesn´t work.

Iraq is bullshit. See, we call december 7th 1941 as a day that will live on the infamy, because we where deliberately atacked by japan.
But the US deliberately atacks countries everyday, all the time!
Iraq, Siria, Iran, Haiti, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico.
Imagine the rest of nations would aplply our political thought!
We want Iran to get rid of they´re nukes, but we give Israel and pakistan nukes, we dropp nukes on japan, how is that?

@emetds
Opinion exists after education or selfeducation.
He is one of those.A good one.

Chomsky isn´t a politician, he´s a politilogist.

It is easy to make moral judgements regarding conflicts when it isnt your responicibility to make a judgement.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Democracy? It´s funny how people still relates democracy with capitalism.
There are many atrocitries, invations that make us laugh when they say:
democracy= capitalism
The US has overthrown the following presidents:
Jacobo Arbenz(Guatemala 1954)
Sukarno(Indonesia 1960's)
Sandinista gov(Nicaragua 1970's)
Jean Bertrand Aristide(Haiti 1974)
Salvador Allende(CHile 1973)
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 The presidents that you mentioned were backed by Soviet governments. What about all the capitalist democracys that you didn't mentions?
Saddam Hussan (Iraq 2003)
Aldolf Hitler (Germany 1945)
Manuel Noriega (Panama 1983)
Etc,
capitalist or communist same thing. They are both about the various ways of distributing wealth and commotities. The US and any government that has power and is faced against a government will f* that itover if it starts something or feels threatened.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Hussein was supported by the US and Great Britain, there gave him weapons and money, there are videos about.
Adolf Hitler was an ultrarightwing anticoummunist, he created the kommintern league with Japan and Italy, he was anticommunist, not communist.
Manuel Noriega was supported by Washington, till he wasn´t usefull anymore, then the troops arrested him.
The same happened with Hussein.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 These dictators were capitalist. Many communist dictators were also over thrown by the US. It really doesn't matter, the real question is if these dictators are not working with the US or threatening it. Then it will work on ways of causing them to have troubles and eventually change them. Why wouldn't the US do that? I am not sure your point.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Let´s cite Hussein, He was supported by the US and Great Britain for some years, he killed 5000 kurds in a pacific protest, and the US and Britts did nothing. But then when he invaded Kuwait in 1991, he disobeyed the orders of washington, and then he was atacked by NATO forces. The point is that they weren´t protecting people at all, they were protecting oil, capital, personal interests.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 I think the US put Saddam there to attack Iran because the Shaw took power and kidnapped Americans. It was a plot to cause problems for Iran. It worked for 7 years of fighting. Then Saddam turned on US by invading Kuwait. Trying to control oil. Also in 2000 Saddam changed the oil revenue to Euros instead of dollars. This made US mad, because it weakens dollar. So they decided to take down Saddam and install a new government. Geopolitics! US is the boss! Again Whats the point?
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Political and economical hegemony, control of capital, that´s the point. As long as someone lives under the boots of washington, it´s considered a pretty normal state, but when a leader of a random state decides to take a different path than the blind and whole submission to the US, then it´s considered a treath for the US. It´s falsely portrayed as a terrorist sate, many times we feel the false need to deffend the nation declaring war an our invisible enemies.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 Saddam gased Kurds after the Kuwait invation. Why would the US help Kurds, seriously they don't have a powerful position? It wouldn't benefit the US to help them. That is the way the world works. Look at the massacures in Africa, now. The Congo, Sudan. Nobody cares. But little Israel is a big deal. Or Korea is big deal. Because these places are technological and therefor connected.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds If i´m not wrong, kurds genocide happened on 1989, 2 years before war. Israel has been supplied for decades by the US, F-16´s, M-4´s. even nukes are between the supplies. But we never hear in the US that Israel is treath, even though they´re killing civilians in palestine they mention nothing.
But Iran, when it´s not even proved they´re developing nuclear technology, we hear they´re a menace, an evil state.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 Because Iran makes speeches like "death to US", it kidnapped Americans in the 70s. It isn't a democracy. Israel is a patron country of US. US stores stuff there. It has a skilled trained army that is allies with it. It even does millitary spying and survaillance favors for US during cold war. While Iran just says I want to nuke US and then begins building weapons. Iran had a fake election. Killing protestors.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds But if we look to Israel we´ll find that the only thing they do is taking away properties from people in palestine, repression and submission. It´s the only thing, the difference is that Israel doesn´t make a speech about it.
Regarding to Iran, we gotta be carefull there, in the 80's when the US overthrew the sandinista gov in Nicaragua, misrepresentation of information was a common resource used by media to make Nicargua look as a treath, whe tey weren´t a treath at all.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 No you see enemies are quite real. Terrorism is real. The state of the world and each government is a reflection of the mind of people in the state. You see all of history is filled with war after war. Why do you think that the purpose of government is to bring peace to everyone? First they don't want peace. Everyone wants power also. A fair distrubtion of wealth is a delusion. The US isnt any different only better at wining the political game.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Actually it is,the US practiced for years real terrorism in middle-america, middle-east directly or indirectly supporting dissent groups agianst governments that were not cooperating with washington. That created an atmosphere of real and total terrorism, that now we see everywhere, figthing for power or survival.
But it´s clear governments are not fighting it, it´s just a pretext to keep on waring and making market movements.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 US isn't direct like many other nations. It will fund a government to do things for it, that benefit it. Rather than brutishly invading, except the Iraq war. All these dictators kill there own people, but they do that themselves. Who do you think funds Chomsky and supports him? He has his own patrons that are off shores. His ideas are bias to benefit the opposition to the US. That is because they probably fund him.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Doing things means making capitalism grow, transational corporations grow and expand, taking away natural resources, that´s what the US wants principally, no matter that causes deaths and devastation.
Middle-america is a good example about it. The CONTRA, a terrorist force responsible of many atrocities in Nicaragua, El Salvador, were trained and fund by the US government.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@emetds So are you faced with the Iraq conflict? Did Iraqies come to the US and killed your family? Did Iraqies killed your dog? Or burned you car? Or what did they do to you so you get this pissed off with them?
The invention of treaths has been for years the political movement of the US.
The only moral authority is that one the US has given himself to determine between good and bad.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 I think that Noam Chomsky as a political thinker is so mainstream. Everyone knows him. He is like coffee table anarchy. Martha Stewart still anarchy. There is nothing unique about his ideas. Especially if he is mentioned at the UN by Chavez. He isn't a rebel, just a really accessible "pop star radical". Gimme a break. Even his views on linguistics were proven wrong recently.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds But there´s more information that fulfills the list, I mean the presidents that were put in the place of these ones, all of them were democratically elected by they´re respective people´s.
Suharto (put instead sukarno in Indonesia, he killed 700000 persons)
Francois Duvalier(Killed 200000 persons put instead Arisride in Haiti)
Augusto Pinochet(put instead Allende in Chile, some 10000 persons were killed or dissapeared)
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 Ok. This is a true story. I had friend his father was in the government of Allende which was funded by Soviets. He was exiled and tortured by Pinochet and his son was raised in US. The Latin "left" was still functioning in the late 90s, when Pinochet left and the exiles moved back. He told me a friend of his father went to Palestine to meet with Arafat and Arafat gave him millions$ to fund the Palestinian cause in south america.
emetds 1 year ago
@goku1986007 So my point is, Why do people even care about a few settlements in the West Bank? The same people that support Palestine support the "left" in south america, Chavez, and Russia and Iran. But really they have no ideological connection between these places. Different governments, different religions, different. It is because they fund each other and promote their causes. Scratch your back you scratch my back. Same as US.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Allende government wa a democratically elected president in Chile on 1973, overthrown by US, and put Pinochet instead him.
Fund by soviets? We can´t assure that, but the gov. of allende was working good before they were overthew.
Soviet Union was the perfect pretext to invade some place. It could be some hook too, the US caused terror on pupulation, and they probably asked help from Russians, then it was done.
goku1986007 1 year ago
@emetds It´s a response to US excesive use of power. The problem is that we have created a moral authority to portray US as good, and leftwing as bad, without even asking about, or wondering why?
Te crisis of Cuban missiles is a clear example, why should we consider a menace the cuban missiles without considering Us missiles on Turley as a treath too?
goku1986007 1 year ago
@goku1986007 That depends on what media you look at. Obama is more "left", and the "right" is viewed as racist and close minded often now. In my opinion the "left" is a delusion. The left really don't care about worker rights and secularism as Marx intended it. Rather it is another form of control. The "left" has become a joke. What does Arafat, Chavez, Castro, etc, have to do with Marx? Nothing. It is easy for young people in college to fall into this over simplified view point.
emetds 1 year ago
@emetds Actually the Marxist ideal is a utopia, the leftwing since then has divided into many streams or political ways. There are some guys like Castro that have few or nothing to do with marx, even so Castro has established a good health system, education, sports
