  • oh yeaaaaa, royalty free background music. Used that one for a class project lol.

  • Selling my SlikStik MAME Controller with Custom Skull Top on ebay right not. Search for Lasareath to find it or look for Mame Controller

  • I'm making one at the moment, i brought a time crisis arcade machine and im replaceing all the insides with a pc, lcd monitor, and replacing the gun with a joystick and buttons, and let me say the machine is Frickin heavy, even in pieces.

  • what the web site you usde to maKE it

  • im making one from scratch. BITCHES!!!

  • for sale 4 player slikstik contact me

  • quad slikstik for sale 1000$ plus shipping contact me, 4 player, spinner, track ball

  • 500.00 for press board wow

  • I'd rather get an astrocity cabinet from coinopexpress.

  • where can I get one and how could I put my laptop on it?

  • Hell yea...but with the apocalypse right around the corner....i don't need this :P

  • How much?

  • Dude, no bullshit, I heard this song in an early 90's porno.

  • please

could not find anything about outrigger cam latching system

where do I buy and what is the name of these two pieces?

  • @jrfps

    fuck you

  • Question for you video game pros.

Is there a game like "grand theft auto 1" on mame?

  • fake cab...

  • uh, an question: How many games has your arcade machine?

  • While surfing around, I found a site you might like. You can get to it using the link below.

  • It's shame that all the good arcade games are gone nowadays most places that have cabinets have boring golf and hunting games what happened to Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat those arcade titles were awesome I heard that MK9 might be released on arcade man I hope that's true.

  • @aperson98 I think since mame is available and probably almost everyone is doing it, the arcade is a gonener. And there is also playstation, xbox, and wii.

  • @PoorBoy1979 True most people can easily get ahold of old arcade games with Mame, but still It would be cool if I could still go to a public place that had a arcade with a game worth playing.

  • HOW MUCH I NEED TO BUY THE PARTS?... WOOW

  • Cool, but I think Dream Home Arcades can top this cheap design :) Want to see how real arcade machines are made? Dream Home Arcades

  • MAME TOP 115 in my channel !!!

  • やば…欲しい…

  • Arcade Cabinets are the beauties of the video game universe.

  • that's cool but where do you get the games

    download them?

  • classy theme music

  • Is it possible to alter the button/control layout?

  • awesome

  • I have been thinking about making my own arcade cab. Putting it in my closet. That is the only place i can fit it. Anyone know how well arcade guts and game boards would last in a hot garage. Keep in mind I live in east Texas.

  • @PearlJammer07 It depends on your components. If you use an LCD panel and a low power computer, you should be good to go. CRT's on the other hand...

  • @PearlJammer07 Is that Jerry?

  • See how the pros do it :)

  • Great cabinet but man that control panel layout is pretty horrible.

  • music name please

  • That is one handsome cabinet. I guess my only question about Slikstik is the responsiveness of the controls. Is there any input lag, missed inputs, etc...

  • its like how its made

  • where do you get a mame arcade

  • @reyeskyle

you make one with your Hands and Wood ...

  • where do you get a mame arcade

  • Might buy one for my Megadrive... Though with the space for a keyboard and mouse, it would be a KICK ASS computer.

  • Could someone give me a link to where I can buy this cab?

  • Buenas, lo fabricas tu? me encanta el diseño incluyendo track ball! che, si los fabricas vos, y eso, como hariamos para enviarlo a uruguay?

    un abrazo

  • IKEA SHOULD MAKE ONE!!!!

  • that's a great idea!

  • @ashcroft83 Brilliant!!!!

  • @ashcroft83 i like the way you think!

  • @ashcroft83 epic idea!

  • @ashcroft83 IKEA makes shitty furniture. Do not know how they stay in business. Some of their furniture is cheap and ugly looking.

  • @PearlJammer07 dude, you have absolutely no idea. They are not just staying in business, in fact, the owner Ingvar Kamprad and family are the 11th wealthiest people in this planet. And that's because it is affordable, it has great designs and the business design is nearly perfect.

Oh, and I am wondering how cheap and ugly looking are your clothes, for example.

  • @ashcroft83 I dress to impress, so go fuck yourself asshole.

  • @PearlJammer07 dress to impress? impress who? hahahaha u definitely have no culture. If you wanna impress people, then get help.

  • @ashcroft83 NO! For the love of all things good NOOO! Ikea would some how manage to fit it into a 7 by 13 inch box with instructions that would require an archeologist to decipher with a horrible little allen key. The suicide rates would be at an all time high!

  • @ashcroft83 your right!!!!

  • @ashcroft83 you see a man screwing lots of screws and automatically thinks in ikea... it's funny how brain associate stuff xD

  • this is like an IKEA mame cabinet...

  • Yes. But is it Swedish? XD

  • open rear section allows for easy access... thats what she said

  • This is sweet. I wish I could just get this, but I'll build my own. Anyways, it's a good design to follow!

  • whar can i git one and how much is is it ? on and i is in springfild mo.

  • how can i get this in Argentina?, i really like this cabinet.

  • I've seen a few people make their own in BA. I'm not aware of any commercially sold cabinets down there. Perhaps you can find a knock off on Florida street! :-)

  • Thank you for your answer, but i'm not in Buenos Aires, anyway some how i allready know that it is not easy to find something like this in my country. Maybe i'm gonna have to try to find an old arcade cabinet.

  • What part of Argentina are you in?

  • Rosario - Santa Fe

  • Looks like an interesting place. Sorry to assume you were from BA earlier. I've only been to BA and Ushuaia and some areas near them.

  • Don't worry, it use to happen.

  • Yes good product and nice idea! But I'm working on my cab building it from myself...and I have to admit that some details on my cab are worst and less professional (just a little) than this, but the satisfaction is huge. It seems to me that having a cabinet by building for yourself can be more precious than just buying it. Just opinion!!!

  • Can any tell me how i can get my pc to boot straight into mame game list

  • There are several ways. Try putting the mame.exe shortcut in your startup if you're using windows or in the rc startups if unix.

  • sorted cheers is there anyway of speeding up the whole boot up time

  • download a program called instantsheller

  • This needs to be in my life.

  • where do you get slikstik products?

  • They went out of business about 1 1/2 years ago. E-bay is the only option that I am aware of.

  • Its ok I think they do too much of the work for me and I am going rather go a more one off approach. And Parts can be found ... I just never find exactly what I am looking for or the combination and with the kinda money it will cost ... I rather keep looking and planning for now while I build up the funds.

Thanks for the heads up though

    Aberran

  • i wish they sold this at wal-mart LOL

  • That looks frickin sweet

I wouldn't leave the house and if you put it next to a toilet and mimi fridge

    Forget about it

  • is very good!!!!

  • That is pretty impressive. It's amazing how it's so easy to put together and with the hiddend drawer it looks sharp. If you took a first look at it you would think that it was just an old cab converted. Really sharp.

  • Thanks for the video!

    nice cab too

  • really of all my friends (i am 14) only one like classic games that sucks

  • so do i man so do i (im 13)

  • how much

  • SIMPLY WOOOOOWW!!!

  • haha how leet are you!

  • This is soooooo Efin' kool!!! I purchased an authentic cab for $30. It used to be a game called Regulus. The cab was gutted but I did get 2 leaf switch buttons, a coin door, a working speaker and lighting fixture (for the marquee) out of it. My cab is playable but only about 75% finished. When completed it will look just as nice as this one or better.

  • Very nice! Looking forward to seeing it!

  • sucks they went out of business. I have tried building my own and what a freakin pain it has been. I would have totally bought one of these when they were around but I never had the money while they were in business.

  • so the question is were do you buy this thing

  • Damn too sad no one makes FLAT PACK arcade cabs anymore... im sure it would sale!

  • 好神奇(cool)~~~這樣一來我也可以把自己的Wii搞成偽大型電玩(fake arcade)了!!!

  • From google translation, I guess you're asking about putting in some console game inside? If so, you can if you want. the monitor accepts vga input.

  • Hey, let me know what's the aspect ratio in arcade screens and the color temperature these screens use.

I mean it. I really need to know.

  • hey,

I'm in the UK and could not afford to import a flat packed mame cab. Instead I am purchasing an old Mortal Kombat II arcade machine, which I will convert. Do you think it will be easy to create the keyboard drawer on an old cab like this?

  • I actually built the "trashcade" cabinet but that's it. I'm not spending money on all that hardware and stuff.

  • if it was that easy for a cabnet. i would of done this along time ago.

  • thats cool!

  • too bad that the company went bankrupt :(

  • If Ikea Made Game Cabs This IS How They Would Make It.

  • i'm not sure if that's a compliment or diss to this cab. :-)

  • i would get one if they sold it at ikea

  • cab is crap. You Will Shake The cabnet Apart

  • They still sell these? Wouldn't mind finding a brand new box for my home bar

  • LEGO!

  • i can see through what that really is, a mounted computer

  • that is exactly it. a piece of furniture around a computer that's running a frontend to launch emulators. For some reason though, when your console or computer is hooked up to an arcade cab, people aren't afraid (even non-techies) to walk up to it and play at parties/gatherings.

  • well it's always fun to have a game party, but like i said, it would be alot more easy if you bought an x-arcade

  • even non game parties, i like to leave it on for people to walk by and play. at the very least, it keeps their kids occupied and out of their parents' hair.

x-arcade controls are nice if you want to have something working out of the box. you'll be surprised though that the controls you buy yourself are not only better quality but actually cheaper than x-arcade. e.g. buttons are only US$1.50 each

  • yeah, i've got a couple friends that enjoy the classics, so when i get my x-arcade i figured i could make a couple bucks

as for children say between ages 7-11, i dont know any that appreciate what they have with classics, cause they think call of duty is better or some crap like that, the newer games aren't that great, they cover up the gameplay with flashy graphics, if you took away the graphics, all the game would be is just shooting something over and over again and it would be boring

  • true that, out of all my friends (i'm 14) i'm the only one that loves arcades, they all love shooters but i would chose to good play Street Fighter 3, Soul Caliber, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Time Crisis 3, DDR, Drum mania, and much more

P.S. arcades have F-Zero AX, the game i have been waiting to play for YEARS!

  • Nice to see ppl your age appreciating a good arcade cab!

  • i know right? me too, none of my friends like to play classics

  • classic's are the best it make modern games look like shit .

  • You said it brother.

  • wow this is some good engineering, this is way better than what im currently deciding to build. I especially love the way the keyboard drawer and control panel installs very genious.

  • I live near retroblast im friends with his kids

  • That's pretty cool. How are they doing? Didn't they just get converted and are now ran by different folks?

  • they are doing good they didnt get converted and thier not run by other folks

  • I remember many people which was stand near arcade machine in VDNH or in shop CHILD World on revolutian squere. I rememder games Shinobe, soviet arcade like konek-gorbunok, perehvatchik. Many arcade machine was stand near cinema theatr. How many years ago it was. Memories. It was wonderfull years.

  • Makes me sad that slikstik is no longer around.. this cabinet looks 10 times better than the one I got from mameroom Ultimate Arcade II .. the drawer on it sucks.. the size of it sucks.. the email support sucks bah pisses me off to think about it now.

  • i'm not familiar with that brand. i looked at their cabinet kits online and it looked pretty nice. what was wrong with it other than the drawer? the size looked comparable...

  • the back of the cabinet sticks out too far.. the coin door is hard to reach.. the cam locks aren't as sturdy as the ones shown on this video... back to the drawer, it's hard to open.. gets stuck on the control panel. My kit didn't come with any kinda of mounting for an arcade monitor. It's an ok cabinet but it doesn't seem as authentic as this slikstik cabinet. Wasn't that easy to put together either.

  • I've got this exact set-up (cab/cp) in my basement right now. I purchased it about 4-5 years ago...before SlikStik ran into business problems - money well spent, in my opinion. There's nothing out there quite like it...it's killer. LED-lit, working coin-slots (credit buttons on cp as well), 27" arcade monitor...and 5000 games.

  • Damn, it's to bad the ran out off business. What did you pay for it?

  • It took about six weeks for me to receive it...I believe I paid around $1350 for both the cabinet ($900) and panel ($450) - then I grabbed a Wells-Gardner 27" arcade-monitor ($450) and a Smart Strip ($30; one 'control' outlet powers remaining outlets on/off so you can 'one-button (external)' everything in the cab on/off) power-bar. I haven't had one problem with the thing...and I've moved it a few times. No weak cams, cracks or bs - the thing is bomb-proof. RIP SlikStik...TY Christian Stango.

  • I want one of these so bad .. I'm so pissed that I chose mameroom Ultimate Arcade II over this... this is on million times better than this fucking junk I got

  • Well some people do...and some people have the money too...not me though...I wish!

  • I wish something like this was available in Australia. It's virtually identical to the type of cabinet that I've been thinking of building.

  • how much does this kid cost?

  • I would like to see an arcade built together with a solid wood foundation rather then plywood as it's always easy to chip and wreck while moving. Do you think oak is asking too much? :D

  • that would be one sweet and heavy ass cab!

  • yeap I made one out of mdf and it sucks because I have to disasemble the arcade every time I have to move it. imagine a wooden cab fuck x(.

  • A Very Crappy Way To Build A Cabnet. All The Cams Will Fuck Up Just From Moving The Game From Play........Do Not Buy This.....

  • Slik Stik has gone bankrupt! :(

  • good upload

  • are the monitor and the arcade stick included with this greatenes ?

  • yes if you buy the complete kit. slik stik has had a lot of problems so many ppl now go to other kit makers like dreamcades.

  • 2 many buttons

  • Awesome song where can I get it

  • 80's porn tunes ftw.

  • i noticed you had outrun on there, thats no good without a steering wheel, I hope you got a spare usb for one of those

  • there's a spinner. it's great for arkanoid and okay for 1st person driving games. but it's not the same as sitting in a driving cockpit.

  • you mean a trackball? if so then it is awful for outrun, but pretty good for super sprint.

  • The cab's got a spinner and a trackball. In the 80's people called spinners "paddles" instead. Although I do find trackballs work great for arkanoid too.

Check out my other videos that has my actual cab. I didn't make this video.

  • All you need is a USB Logitech wheel from ebay, 20 bucks, and it mounts easily to the front of the CP. Removes, installs, without holes/modifications

  • wow that stinks slik stik is out of biz. They where so back ordered on stuff i can't believe someone would just buy the company and take over. I am almost 99% sure they where based in NJ and we all know the rent in NJ is so f-ing high for an manufacture of anything to be competative.

    rest in peace slik dudes

  • What would the new owners do since the silent partner stole like 20 grand from customers and did not pay vendors almost 30 grand. Right away the new owners would be 50 grand in the hole.

  • ok so probably better of not to buy them and start a new company =)

if they screwed over people, partners and suppliers they they are Definately Based out of New Jersey =)

  • That's Just Ace

  • That's pretty awesome! Too bad slikstik's not here anymore...

  • Daaaaaaaaaaamn,I would love to have one of those!

  • the cabinet is great, however ours sits empty since slik stik NEVER sent us our geme unit after almost 8 months of disputing the cc charge on our purchased item that was never received.SHAME on you SLIKSTIK.

  • that had to suck so bad... waiting for it to come and it never arriving.. I think I would have gone insane.

  • how much does this cost? with monitor?

  • you are cool man

  • O.O

    Damn

  • ahuh give me one lol!

  • What's the overall ballpark cost to do this all?

  • you can spend just a few hundred if you convert a used cabinet. it can go up to $4-5k if you want one done completely for you.

  • The keyboard hide away is brilliant. This is a dream machine.

  • it looks hot

  • Looks pretty damn sweet, I want one :D

  • Wonderful! very professional job! Many compliments!

    Diego.

  • Remember, I didn't make the video. I just posted it. It was originally found on Retroblast.

  • i love the retro 1980s video doc music.Brings back memories of 80s cheesiness in best form.

I like how it easy to set up and everything is done for you. The only thing is that it looks extremely cheap as in quality..but nice set up nonetheless. how much was everything?

  • if you build it yourself, you can use a TV and an old computer. it should run you a few hundred US tops for the controls and interface. this particular model from slikstik is about 2500-3000 and comes with everything. too pricey if you ask me

  • Wow i would just rather buy a new arcade cabinet all together....this is just as pricey as that dream machine they showed at video games live. it has the same set up but they have a tabletop version. geez i think ill just take up my friend on his offer for the SFA cabinet.

  • What's the name of the music!? No one is telling me!!

  • The music is royalty free and comes with Adobe Premiere. If I recall, it is part of the SmartSound library. I used the exact same music in 1999 when we took our daughter to Callaway Gardens.

  • I've got some news!

Good: I've found out more info on the music, it's called dance club and it's on Smartsound 1#

    library.

Bad: The library was discontinued and the software that came with it 'Smartsound for multimedia' isn't sold anymore so does anyone know where get the music now?
