Thank you for helping me my husband keeps promising he is going to repair it but more dedicated to his work and having to paste our cars together then being true to his word. I think I need to learn to do a lot. I think I'll be able to start with this ... Thank you you have been a big help since I learn by hearing and seeing.
I thought this was really informative, but good point re face mask. Seems fairly easy!!!??? Will try it as have quite a few hairline cracks appearing on walls in lounge, just wonder why they appear, someone said it was because the walls were painted before the plaster had time to completey dry!?
Repairing a crack is one thing, but most ceilings have textured finishes, Id like to see your texture matching/blending. Again a good drywall man never has to sand!
WARNING: Great video, the only thing that I noticed is when sanding, no face mask was used. Spackle can be dangerous if dust is inhaled, I would definitly sugest a good quality mask or respirator. Especially when sanding areas above head level. *Even when sanding a low area dust will rise, but when you sand above head level ALL the debris (even larger debris) can be inhaled.
Thank you so much. I've been searching all over youtube for such a video. I have hung drywall before, but never taped/mudded and I have several sagging seams in my ceiling. Now I know how to fix it.
A good dry wall patch guy never has to sand. If you use 20min hot mud for the base within 15 min you can top it with lightweight premixed texture & blend it without sanding. NO NEED TO SAND!!!
Thank you. This is excellent. Exactly what I have and what I was looking for.
