it sort of a weird show now... ...but that whole show lasted about 6 more years than it should... ...thanks to charlie... ...i mean in lots of episodes, it was really about nothing and only charlie's acting made it watchable...

Sheen was under the heavy influence of drugs and production was temporarily postponed and Sheen then made some rambling insults on radio which caused them to pull the plug. Imho CBS and Lorre are a bunch of prissy bitches who got all fuckin' offended and decided they wouldn't work with Charlie any more and basically threw a popular show (whose best days were behind it anyway imho) in the trash.
One of the main reasons they gave Sheen the axe was likely a comment Sheen made that was blown out of proportion and claimed to be an "anti-Semitic" smear against Lorre. Lorre wrote some bs about how Heim (spell?) Lavine became Chuck Lorre on one of his stupid ego driven comment cards that appear at the end of every episode of his shows and Charlie used that name in one of his ramblings.. the problem was his mental state not anti-Semitism. i dont think it will ever be the same!Ashton is a great actor but like many of you say, the show was really built around Charlie Sheens character and taking that away(although they really didnt have a choice)just made the show....different.I still watch every episode but dont laugh as much or as hard as i once did.

Sheen, for better or worse, was the central character..hell you could've just as easily called the show "CHARLIE". Not discounting the talent of the other cast members but the reality is SHEEN was the sun and the others were the planets revolving around that sun! While the ratings held the writing on Season 8 was subpar compared to previous work. I stand by my assessment..

I, like millions of others, will watch the first episode with Kutcher out of curiosity so they've certainly got a chance but I'd bet good money the show's trajectory will be downhill from there and the first season with Ashton will be the last...
Oh well... it's a show whose best days were probably behind it anyway - if they kept it going much longer they'd have to change the name to "Three Men". The Jake character was better when he was a little kid anyway, now he's just a big douche...

Sheen was under the heavy influence of drugs and production was temporarily postponed and Sheen then made some rambling insults on radio which caused them to pull the plug. Imho CBS and Lorre are a bunch of prissy bitches who got all fuckin' offended and decided they wouldn't work with Charlie any more and basically threw a popular show (whose best days were behind it anyway imho) in the trash.

One of the main reasons they gave Sheen the axe was likely a comment Sheen made that was blown out of proportion and claimed to be an "anti-Semitic" smear against Lorre. Lorre wrote some bs about how Heim (spell?) Lavine became Chuck Lorre on one of his stupid ego driven comment cards that appear at the end of every episode of his shows and Charlie used that name in one of his ramblings.. the problem was his mental state not anti-Semitism. Personally I think they could have given him more time.
