  • Win money playing a free lottery on my channel. Leave your 5 numbers selction in the comment section.

  • I turned ten the month before that drawing. If I had a time machine, I'd tell my dad to play those numbers. Geez.

  • The theme song was always a favorite of mine! And hearing it now for the first time in a long time brings the same happy feeling as seeing an old good friend for the first time in years!

  • The current Super 7 debuted in March '09. The PA Lottery draws 11 numbers out of 77 and all you have to do is match 7 to win the jackpot. Sadly, Super 7 will end on Tuesday, April 27th. I guess more and more players didn't find this version as exciting as the previous version. Also, more and more people are playing the big jackpot games like Mega Millions and Powerball. The jackpot for Super 7 is currently up to almost $9 Million. Better buy a ticket before it's too late.

  • Pennsylvania Lotteryyyyy.

    that brings me back. lol

  • The super 7 is back but its a little different

  • NEWS FLASH: The Saturday Spin is coming back to the PA lottery TV drawings show. Go to the PA Lottery website for details.

  • Sales started on this new version of the game on 3/11/09.

  • Super 7!

I wish I could find an audio file of this song, I love it.

  • Me too.

  • You be glad to know that this game Super 7 is coming back next week!!!

  • If anyone happens to have audio of this theme song, would it be possible to post it here for everyone to listen to?

  • I have no old pre 10/2003 PA lottery TV drawings with this theme song. I was looking through my older tapes and I couldn't find any.

  • BTW Julius, I have a few PA lottery drawings from the 1990's

  • That's great!!. I hope you can post them soon.

  • Hey, maybe LondonTVGuy has old PA Lottery drawings. He's the one who is uploading most of the Erie TV stuff.

  • Can you ask that user about that?

  • BTW I sent this video to long time WTAE anchor Sally Wiggin and she told me they do bring back a lot of memories for her.

  • I know there has to be more videos out there of the old PA lottery drawings with this theme music. I and the users here would really love to see them. Too bad I didn't think to record the PA Lottery drawings on a regular basis prior to 2003 before they changed the theme.

  • The Pennsylvania Lottery's nightly drawing show airs across the state on the following television stations: WJET-24 in Erie; WGAL-8 in Lancaster; WJAC- 6 in Johnstown; WPVI- 6 in Philadelphia; KDKA- 2 in Pittsburgh; and WNEP-16 in Scranton. The last changes to the Lottery drawing show were made in 2003 when animated graphics were added and the familiar theme song was modified.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • Also, viewers will now see an on-screen insert of the Lottery drawing official and senior witness, while the larger view will be of the numbered balls as they are drawn. "We are not shortcutting or circumventing our security procedures in any way with these changes," Trees noted. "All Pennsylvania Lottery drawings are conducted under strict, secure conditions ensuring that winning numbers are drawn randomly."

  • As they have for decades, players will still see the numbered balls mixing in their respective chambers on the new drawing show, but beginning Aug. 26, the drawing official will press one button to automatically select winning numbers for each of three games -- The Daily Number, BIG 4 and Quinto. Winning numbers for CASH 5, mix and match, and MATCH 6 lotto have been drawn using one button per drawing since each of the games' inception.

  • "Over the drawing show's 31-year history, Lottery has occasionally made

changes to it," said Lottery Executive Director Ed Trees. "The new drawing

show enhancements are being made to accommodate Lottery's newest game,

Quinto, which will make its nightly debut tomorrow." Although the Lottery is adding a new game to its nightly drawing

lineup, the length of the drawing show will remain the same. .

  • The drawing

show lasts 90 seconds Monday through Friday, 60 seconds on Sunday and 120

    seconds on Saturday

  • Pennsylvania Lottery Introduces New Format for Nightly Drawing Show MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The estimated

700,000 television viewers who tune in nightly at 6:59 p.m. to watch the

live Pennsylvania Lottery drawing will see a new format starting Aug. 26.

  • The Lottery is to debut a new daily game called Quinto starting next Tuesday that will be drawn day and night, It is probably going to require some kind of re-arrangement of the way the nighttime drawing TV show is produced, and you never know, they just might bring this music back.

  • I need a winning lotto strategy

  • ooohh this brings me back memories.

  • Has anyone e-mailed the PA Lottery about bring this theme back to the televised drawings. If so what did the lottery tell you?

  • hey this is from my first birthday how bout that? :)

  • Does anyone know how long has WPVI in Philly aired the nightly televised drawings by the Pennsylvania Lottery?

  • WPVI in Philadelphia has aired the nightly drawings since the Daily Number began in 1977.

  • I hope I wouldn't get that Pennsylvania lottery theme song out of my head.

  • To all users, VERY IMPORTANT. If anyone is going to record the PA lottery nighttime drawings on KDKA, WJAC, and WGAL tonight, please send me the video via a private video so I can see it. WPVI may not air the drawings tonight because of the Belmont stakes coverage.

  • Never Mind

  • BTW stiffkids2006,if you have any more of the Pennsylvania lottery drawings before 2003 please post them on Youtube.

  • Hey stiffkids2006,this is the best lottery drawing video i've ever seen.

  • BTW to all users, if any one of you has old complete Pennsylvania Lottery television drawings from 1977 until 2003, please feel free to post the video here on you tube.

  • Do you have a Wild Card Lotto drawing. That would be cool to see.

  • Yes,I have a drawing from June 18,1993 and the Daily Number,Big 4,and Cash 5 drawing from May 11,1995.

  • You do, my gosh. Please get these videos posted ASAP.

  • I will Julius121081,as soon as I covert these PA lottery tapes into DVD's or CD's.

  • Do you have any Jersey Lottery drawings hosted by Hela Young?

  • I don't have any tapes of the New Jersey Lottery drawings.

  • That's great. Thanks

  • You're Welcome!!!

  • The vintage Pennsylvania Lottery song is better than the updated version from 2003 on.

  • Hi stiffkids2006, I hope that you can find more PA lottery drawings in your collection that you can post here, especially the Saturday drawings with the Million Dollar spin.

  • Thanks stiffkids for that videos you recorded over the years even that Pennsylvania lottery drawing from 1992.

  • Same here.

  • You're all very welcome.

  • @stiffkids2006 do you have any from 1985-90??

  • To all users, which PA lottery numbers game do you play: Daily Number, Big 4, Cash 5, Mix and Match, Match 6 lotto and or Powerball?

  • I was less than a month old then when this pennsylvania lottery drawing was conducted

  • a day before my sixth birthday

  • Does anyone have any Gus videos?

There was a Price Is Right clip on YouTube a while back, but it was pulled.

Don't you think by now that Gus has become the most-famous groundhog IN Pennsylvania?

    (Punxsutawney who??) ;-)

  • I like those commercials too. A marmot with a gambling problem, pure genius.

  • Do you think that the PA lottery should bring this theme back to the TV nighttime drawings?

  • Absolutely!

    Bill in Bucks County

    a/k/a AshburnStadium

  • @Julius121081 Yes, they definitely need to bring it back, and I'm sure many will agree with me! It should have never been changed in the first place!

  • @Julius121081 if they do, it should be high quality

  • Great clip.

  • Boy that Super 7 machine spit out numbers fast.

  • i wonder if they had lotzee and macho 8

  • In case anyone was wondering, the machines in use for Daily Number and Big 4 were called the Ovoid, and were manufactured by Garron Lottery Products. They were replaced for daily drawings a while ago, but did continue to make appearances at the PA Farm Show drawings until this year.

  • I also saw the Ovoid on lottery drawings in Maryland and Minnesota.

  • I'm guessing this aired on KDKA-TV?

  • I would guess. The 6 PA TV stations that air the televised nighttime lottery drawings are, KDKA, WJAC, WGAL, WNEP, WJET and WPVI

  • Every night 7 days a week at 6:59 PM ET

  • Sounds like music was slightly tweaked sometime between 1987 and 1992.

Wonder if they felt creative when they built that set?

  • stiffkids2006, can you add the word "drawings" to the title and tag of this video

  • Really cool video. I know Julius was looking for this.

  • I sure was.

  • To stiffkids2006, you misspelled the state in the title and the tag of this video.

  • You have it "Pensylvania Lottery, 7-22-92" You forgot an N

  • Thanks a lot for posting this video. If you have anymore old PA lottery nighttime TV drawings, please post them here. The PA Lottery nighttime TV drawings take place 7 days a week at(6:58:50 PM) 6:59 PM ET FYI.
