@dipu94321 What about Victor Wooten? He has an entire solo album that's just bass and vocals. Jaco Pastorius was one of those who actually brought bass into its own as a solo instrument. Look up Portrait of Tracy, A Show of Hands (not the Rush live album). Those are, however, jazz fusion. Bass in metal, on the other hand, is a background instrument much of the time.

Some bassists are just lazy, its good to fill the role of the bass guitar, but if thats all your doing then you would be famous only because your band-mates are your friends
