Wow! That's it, just two cameras can do it? Amazing!

Now there are cameras that can alone shoot 3D, but they are very expensive and there aren't too many that you can attach a 3D converter on either, but being able to do this with 2 cheap cameras is awesome!

Also, can those editing techniques be done in Premiere Pro? I imagine they can, but I have never done it.

I got Sony Vegas Pro 10.0, and I can take any video of any kind and turn it into 3D in less than 5 miutes. With this editing program, I record my videos normally and then turn them into 3D videos.

@thekrustycrab i have tried it before but there is one problem, there is not much popping out... if you use a 3d camera or two camera side by side, it has two visions and when you put it togethor it goes around the object a little. that is how you get the 3 d effect.. but, i have tried another way, try what you said by duplication the vido, then move the right video to the right a little and the left to the left.. good luck!

Hey, I have Magix Movie Edit Pro 15. So i am pretty sure I have the video effects in my design settings. But I only have one camera. Does the computer really know the difference if the video is shot in right and left footage at the same time? Or can I just use the same .avi file and use the RGB effects shown in the video instead?

You told us how to shoot but never really told us how to edit. After doing some more searches, I found a program called Stereo3d Toolbox and it did the trick. Even the text that you talked about was achieved it about 10 seconds.

Could we just make any existing video 3D by using the software to zoom and then move one of the scenes to the right slightly and rendering it...then adding it to the first video track and then removing the cyan and red...it would be the same as having 2 cameras wouldnt it?

@Redcaster916 that's a pretty dumb idea you know cause with double cameras you record from different angles, the way your eyes percieve the world and allow you to watch things in 3d, if you use the same shot twice, the whole thing will pop out but won't create depth and profoundness between objects

Most of your shots have got a vertical error. You are misleading people. Why not just use Stereo Movie Maker instead of that unsuitable video editor? It sorts all these problems out for you. ( ...and it's free.) I'll be glad when this 3D fad is over.

1. why do some sites say you have to have the cameras 1/30 distance apart from the distance of nearest object? when obviously the distance of the two cameras is only the distance of humaneyes.

2. the one tinyurl link in this video has the program to make webcams 3d but is there a program to make video already taken 3d? a simple conversion. i already have anaglyph maker for still pictures.

I think it is an angle, depending on what you are talking about. I do not know what i am talking about, but i've heard stuff about 3D and how some people do it. :P I don't know where you can find a pair of 3D glasses. RealD 3D doesn't really work, Monsters versus aliens glasses doesn't really work, but Spy Kids 3D works the best for me. Just a suggestion. Peace :)

It means everything. You do want to converge the cameras. Everything in front of where you converge the cameras will appear to be closer than screen depth. Everything behind will be behind screen depth. You'll also want to experiment with your separation distance between the cameras. Closer for shorter distance shots, wider for longer shots.
