I saved a cat once myself. I was walking to the wal-mart of my town and a kitten was in the middle of the lane closest to the sidewalk. Cars just flew by at normal 45-ish and the wind zoomed over the kitten's fur. It was obliviously too scared to move. I waited a couple of minutes and ran out real fast, grabbed the kitten, ran back to the sidewalk, and placed the cat on the grass beside the sidewalk. It was hissing like a typical cat that doesn't like strangers but I was glad it was safe.

Also I am loving how the flow of the gantz volumes come out. Since its became so popular; Dark Horse comic's are releasing volume 6 then the next week we volume 7. But I'm sad that it is going on a Hiatus in chapters.

I like to think irrational fandom and creepiness go hand in hand.

Given the pace of Gantz (and, hell the original for that matter), this episode doesn't feel that much slower than any other. And it's a little sobering to realise how much of the original's humour translates into a comic take so well. Seriously, the comedy feels positively South Korean in places.

About that Black/Morbid Humor I couldn't agree more. From what I've seen of Gantz (the anime; I've only read the first manga vol. since that's the only one I have) it has really funny dark humor. Berserk's black humor is really only in the manga.

Also the dark humour//comic relief in gantz was in volume 5 when Kurono gets teleported for the budha mission. Another favorite comic relief momment is when he starts wearing his suit after the chibi allien or dinasaur arc. In the gym and he brings down the basketball hoops and Kurono's reaction was priceless. I could go for that anime gag where is the bathroom? but in the manga they actually showed it!

As I mentioned in the previous commentary, I LOVE Patton's Nishi voice, and I didn't want to try to do an impression of it unless I could get it spot-on, and when I tried, I just couldn't, so I went a different direction with it instead.

If you look through my favorites, there's an unrelated Gantz spoof (a one-shot video, not an abridged series) in which the creator does an AWESOME Patton impression. If he'd been around at the time, I would've BEGGED him to voice Nishi for me.
