Very nice.I just ordered this camera off the internet and waiting for it to be delivered.Your video of your beautiful daughter was a factor in my decision to choose the Ag-dvx100.I'm new to this but it's clear your editing had alot to do with it.Panasonic should cut you some commission.
This was shot 4.3 and letterboxed. I didnt export this at top settings though as it was uploaded before youtube allowed larger file sizes. The 16.9 setting on the camera is pretty good htough and i cant really notice a difference in quality.
Thanks for that - I "suspect" that you shot this is "Thin mode" which automatically letterboxes. Then you exported to youtube which naturally shows it as widescreen, OR you then exported the footage as 16:9 during post prod? Sorry to ask but I'm thinking of using these cams for a film - and I need to shoot it at film fest. Given the quality I seriously considering them!
If you know what you're doing, this can produce much better results than the vx2100. You can shoot 24P which gives film like results, it also has a 60i mode which is what the vx2100 shoots at. The picture quality is better on the dvx100 tho. The vx2100 is still a great camera and cheaper than this so it would all depend what you want to use it for?
Holy fucking shit. That song was covered more than once!?!

Can anyone advise the best quality mini DV Tape? Thx

great content. Adorable child. You might want to think about using your built in ND filters to cut down on the hot spots.

Great use of natural light.
Don't ever stop, you'll treasure every second of this stuff in just a few years. And make sure you save it all properly.

I was told that this cam when in 16:9 stretched the image and made it look bad - is this in widescreen? Looks like it is.

The DVX100 is not a HD camera. It does have alot of other features which i would regard as mroe important than shootig in HD though.
