ashjfkhaui - Thats the spirit man. Practice till you reach old age and you will master not just the weapons but your mind and body. When you do the forms I see a tiger and a sleeping viper.
It was good. You didnt hit yourself at least. But there is far more useage with the three section the an normal staff. Most people, like yourself, just use it the same way as a solid staff. But its an completely different weapon with far more application then spinning it around. Have you actually spared with it in close quarters and not just spinning it around? You have not master the 3 sectional, NO ONE has if all they so is use the 3 Sectional as a solid staff.
like all weapons it has its strength and its weaknesses. I once wondered if the perfect weapon is the sword myself. The bit of wisdom I aquired was that a master doesn't take favorite weapons but masters all of them.
@addab It was either Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee, I forget which, who said, "I do not fear the man who has practiced a thousand kicks once, but one kick a thousand times."
Ergo, you're better off actually being a master of one or maybe even two weapons than just being competent with lots of different ones.
@Benjaminy2k Chinese martial arts stress the importance of mastering 18 weapons, actually (Especially shaolin). That quote simply means if u try everything but practice none then ur not doing anything at all, not that you should stick with only a few weapons as each weapon has it's own strength and weakness and a good martial artist should be able to use multiple weapons both to utilize the strength as well as knowing it's weakness when pitted against it.
Actually, I've spoken with many martial arts experts over the years and have asked the same question: what would be considered the best weapon? They all replied it is not the weapon, but the weilder. In terms of unpredictability and multiple opponents: Three sectioned staff and the Chuttuval. In terms of speed: Nunchaku and Foil sword. The list can go on and on.
I thank you for the comment. Though once I get a better camera, I will post more videos of even more weapons. Continue your dedication to the martial arts, fellow weapons master.:) *Bow*
Wow...I'm spechless...yeah pretty Cool ;) U're really good! If I tried that I would surely hurt myself..lol...anyway I like martial arts and all those kind of things too! Thank u :D
Flashy, but lacking substance. In a fight, all those jumping and spining moves would do nothing more than compromise both your position and balance.
But, since you're doing a kata and it's main purpose is only to hone the muscles in to transitioning between one move and another, I'll let it slide.

You show true skill in your
form.

I usually see skill like this from
Shaolin Monks. You're really good,
you show true form. If you saw my
3 Section Staff action you could tell
from start to finish that was all I was
doing was "winging it."

Hozukaimarru. Ikkaku from Bleach uses the three section staff. I absolutely love this weapon.
