Hey, I know where this is! That's MIT. The place with the pillars is Lobby 7 and I would is flying down the the corridors around the Aeronautics dept.
@riothero313 Yes, some of the jiggle is due to not being on wheels, but the plane is also flying through turbulence which leads to jiggle no matter what the camera mount.
The tumblewing (tumbler) should be the best glider for flying indoors because it is the slowest and most maneuverable. If there is the slightest wind outside the tumbler quickly becomes uncontrollable. It really needs very still air.
I stumbled upon the whole walkalong thing after waking up early and randomly surfing while I waited for my wife to surface. After reading almost everything on the internet (stopping for coffee and scrambled eggs) I've got to say that your 3 minute flight is pretty damn cool. I've been making a bit of a fool of myself in the street outside with a basic tumbler. Perhaps I should have got fully dressed first. Now I'm going to make one of your airplanes. Its all very exciting :}
Looks amazing, almost like it shouldn't be happening! Stumbled on this from RC groups, and I'm kicking myself for have forgotten about these things after reading up on them some months ago. Thanks for the instructions, I think I'll go try it out.
before attempting to fly with the controllable slope (96cmX75cm corrugated cardboard) do a preflight glide. The airplane should fly steadily in a straight line. This will show that the glider is properly trin and the air you intend to fly in is free of drafts and turbulence.
Lets get mythbusters on this one

What the fuck. You expect people to believe that a paper airplane would fly that well. What a dumbass.

@atakdog
It's not flying by itself, it flying by Controllable Slope Soaring.
