Aion is SOOO mutch better than LOTRO to even compare the two, LOTRO I personally hated, but Aion is a fresh and unique title that I got used to and loved from the start.
the water detail is awesome in this game too. it doesnt seem to bog the game down to make it look great. ncsoft focused more on the initial art work, rather than added abunch of crap filters to make shit art look better. those tend to make the game run slowly too.
u dont need anything fancy to play this with decent quality. it looks better than wow even on lowest quality. i use an off the shelf walmart crap top that is more than 3 years old to play this. it has a Pentium 4 2.0 single core processor and recently upgraded to 1 gig of ram. surprisingly it came standard with an nvidia 6200 series with shared ram. yes i no this comp is total trash. but i can still play this game and it still looks beautiful. that should give u an idea of wat u need to run it.
true but geat a realy new mmo wil take like another 10 years ,i cant see companys doing that because, they also want money and making a combat system that only a genius can figure out is not a good idea to make money.
If you're looking for something that's going to turn the entire MMO genre on its ear like WoW did, you're going to have to wait several years for someone to think of something. Until then, Aion is a very solid game--finally, there might actually be a decent alternative to WoW that isn't 7+ years old.
Several years? I don't think you've been keeping up with gaming news but there are a LOT of games coming out in the next year that are going to flip the MMO genre upside down. And still I wasn't asking for something completely revolutionary in this game, but just something new rather than graphics so I'd have a real reason to play this rather than the 2000 Wow-type games. Not trying to argue, I'm just saying.
...but nothing interesting. I know this game isn't meant to be revolutionary, I don't expect it to be. Just a very nice looking game but nothing that can hold my attention longer than any other of its competitors.

y is some people complaining? i already know that its a brainless type of game like wow, eq2, war, lineage 2, rfonline ect... nothing new but it sure is the best of it

aion is still this/old gen mmo. untill next gen mmo comes out.. stick with console.
if i have an 8800gt, 4 gigs ram, and athlon 64 dual core will i be able to run this high graphics no lag

You can level up to 25ish pretty quickly, but it slows after that. I think that's an excellent way to do it.
