  • ahhh so relaxing to hear this i love the metroid series

  • @NintendocaprisSon I just came.

  • Dat whistle.

  • awesome theme !! is from one of my favorite games , love it

  • oh man first time when you enter tallon overworld and notice the music is suddenly different it's like "ahh ye shit's about to get serious" :q

  • Is it weird that i think this sounds like a romance song

  • @TheNboy121 Yes, unless if you spend your dates on Tallon 4 wiping out some beetles with your significant other, then yes, it is weird.

  • @TheNboy121 I kind of get what you mean. It has a smooth feel to it. Kinda sounds like sex music tbh.

  • Yes, my favourite Metroid piece so far.

  • I always lose it when that whistle hits at 1:11 lol. That part of the songs goes hard

  • is tallon overworld the place where u first land wen u get to that planet?

  • @sabunacon Yes, Tallon Overworld is the main grassy area. And "that planet" is called Tallon IV.

  • @MrZero11111 o ok thx

  • I haven't gotten that far into the game but this probably my favourite theme! Love the eerie techno vibe!

  • I don't think any song I will ever listen to will top this. Very few songs have come close.

  • Anyone play game cube on an hd-tv? Wonder how it would look..my SNES doesn't work so well on it but I really want another Cube

  • @michaelhpedersen Well, if you're using the normal composite cables it should look okay, but not great. Some people tend to have problems due to the 'cube's resolution not being HD as well. If you have one or the rare component cables and a compatible system, it looks pretty good, but you'll definitely see jaggies. Play away from your TV to help tone those down a bit. Admittedly, I just use my Wii for this. Way easier to get the component cables.

  • Let's be honest here.

This is probably the darkest and most upbeat song in the Metroid series.

  • i heared this music after i defeated thardus

  • 600 likes :O i,ll make it 601 likes come to think of it

I NEVER SEEN A VIDEO GAME HAVE SO MANY LIKES THE MOST I SEEN WAS PROBLY 150 OR 166 BUT 600 DAMN not trying to curse or anything but dang who ever composed this game was amazing who was it anyway

  • 1:12

  • @71jmonkey Yes. Yes. And YES!

  • I would like to walk around my city at midnight while I listen to this music. But being alone, out that late at night, is dangerous...

  • @Mexicano2837 basically you just summarized a Metroid commercial while listening to this music XD I forget which game I think it was either this one or something else...

  • @Mexicano2837 si es verdad.. :l

  • Step 1) youtubedoubler . com/ 2BzF

    Step 2) Ssssh.

  • @Patcheresu wtf?

  • Comment removed

  • @PoopTruffles Quiet.

  • @Patcheresu hush now quiet now.

  • Like if the sound effect at 0:11 would make you look to see if you had any notifications.

  • The best thing at a new game is, that after you've beaten it, you can play Metroid again :D

  • @MaxGoldhand and the coolor part is that like the first LoZ game, you can get upgrades out of order.

  • 1:12 , and especially 2:04 are amazing. I got a shiver up my spine whenever I heard the later while playing.

  • this + rainy mood =epicness

  • This song should be reused in another metroid game.

  • That part where the melody plays with no backup and suddenly breaks out into the catchy music again at the end?

    Aww yeah.

  • THIS IS SO EARGASMIC WHEN WEARING HEADPHONES.

  • @MP03C

It's pretty eargasmic in and of itself.

  • @NeoNazi250 Yeah but, even more with headphones :)

  • @MP03C I listen to this when I go to bed with my best earphones...IT BLOWS MY MIND.

  • @MP03C Bass Vibration Headphones

  • @MP03C I KNOW, RIGHT?

  • They don't make them like they used to! Incredible!

  • when you play that game you feel like it is real

  • As I started listening to this song, it started raining outside.

    IT IS A SIGN

  • This song is better than the entirety of Metroid: Other M.

  • @mirokyu only if youve played prime.

  • @mirokyu Metroid Other M had a horrible story and worse potrail of Samus but the gameplay was sill pretty good, and I enjoyed it for what it is.

  • awesome

  • metriod music is so environmental and gives you a sense of being there in a distant universe

  • This generation of consoles lost something... I can't say what exactly, but games for gamecube and ps2 feel more immersive. Nowadays, you're all connected and games, though they look better and have better everything (in theory...), they don't have the same great feel as retro consoles have. Playing metroid prime on gcn or even back to zelda iii snes on a retro ass TV always got me lost in the game world a hell of a lot more than any modern game ever did, 1080p and all.

  • @wanswers Demon's souls, Dark souls, Radiant historia, Alan wake, 999, Devil survivor, etrian odyssey, Valkyria Chronicles, Dragon age, mass effect, Half life 2, Witcher 2, mario galaxy 2, Monster hunter 3, and amnesia the dark decent... off the top of my head, all offer very immersive and amazing gameplay, i'm all for retro as well but lets not be a hipster and ignore what this gen is offering... also if you want retro feeling platformers/rpgs/action adventure/anything the psp and ds have ALOT

  • While this song is playing:

    1.Open a new tab.

2.Type in "Youtube.com" in Address bar.

    3.Search "Rainy Mood".

4.Click on the first video pops up.

    5.?????

    6.Profit. ;)

  • @NintendocaprisSon

Yes, this works for many game soundtracks and it sounds even better.

  • @NintendocaprisSon HOLY CRAP I'm on Tallon IV again.

  • @NintendocaprisSon You're a genius! I fell like beeing on Tallon IV again.

  • @NintendocaprisSon that's actually really awesome

  • @NintendocaprisSon Omg, you are awesome. Thanks for the tip!

  • Yeah the song as a whole is amazing, but the part at 1:12 to1:47 is spine tingling. It's so melancholic and sad, you really feel like you're far away from home and that you're not suppossed to be there. Plus it takes me back to the golden ages of gaming where life was more care-free. Kind of depressing really

  • Manly tears are always shed at 1:10

  • @darthstew666 Yeah!! I love that part to :)

  • This sounds weird, but I like the rundas theme better

  • what an incredible game

  • omega pirate was a bitch to kill lol

  • why does metroid prime have better music than prime 2 or 3

  • i always try my fucking hardest to avoid the chozo ghost

  • @tarnado12 LMFAO!!

  • @tarnado12 Me too but there are times that you just can't avoid these repulsive assholes.

  • @tomace0711 i agree man

  • @tarnado12 Those things scared the shit out of me. I don't care what super special awesome suit/missile/beams I've got: I'm not going into that room.

  • @iamsmeej i know what you mean this is me[step in the room get quiet that song comes on fire like 10 shot at the door fuck that i am going another way] thats how it is lol

  • @iamsmeej They don't scare me. In a matter of fact their the one's who are scared of me because, I own these stupid mother fuckers!

  • @tomace0711 Finally someone who isent a pussy and knows with me that these little bitches are nothing to worry about

  • @tarnado12 i make my friend do them on hard mode

  • This plays when you realize that everything else is possibly in more danger than you think...

  • I only recognize this one and not the "original" (theme 1)??

    ?:{ :P

  • Shout Out To The Nigga Who Said "This Is A Music For Angels!" Yo Got That One Right My Nigga!! PEACE!!

  • @peterssydney04 More niggas like us need to play this game!!!! I'm tired of niggas around the block talkin about Call Of Duty all the time!

  • At what point did this switch over the music? Was it when you got the Phazon suit? I can't remember, I just remember noticing that the music was different and had been for some time.

  • @ironhandSoverign i think after you get the ice beam I THINK its been a long time since i don't play this so i do not remember

  • @hunterbot1234 Just replayed the game. It's right after Thardus. Or possibly just after the Wave Beam, or Super Missile, I'm not sure, but around there somewhere.

  • @ironhandSoverign Definetly not after Wave Beam, can say that for sure. But i'm waiting for the music to come.

  • @Deathborn2048 Yeah, it's after the Wave Beam. The only question is how far after. It's before the Ice Beam, and I think after the Thermal Visor.

  • @ironhandSoverign I just got the Thermal Visor, mayby I should go check.

  • this is the music of angels... music i would have at my funeral

  • I remember returning to Tallon Overworld and this music started playing and I was like, "Shit just got real."

  • I listen to this playing World of Warcraft. Just because the music in this game is so cool and touching :D it's a classic that I will love forever.

  • not as good as theme 1 :(

  • Take it from a modder. Minecraft+Metroid Prime music=Amazing.

  • what exactly would the tempo be for the beat that starts at 1:38 and ends at 1:47 ?

  • i can whistle 1:10 - 1:45

  • favorite part 1:10 - 1:46

  • this is perfect for swamp exploration

  • Reminds me of Snatcher

  • One of the best games of all time... With all professional reviews this game averages a score of 96.3/100 (courtesy of gamerankings for finding this). It's #7 in the top 10 and up there with some of the top games including: Zelda OOT, Soul Calibur, Super Mario Galaxy, Grand Theft Auto IV etc... Classic game.

  • When the music changed, I thought it was creepy but very fitting. It was like the music was telling you that serious biz was about to go down and that you were close to getting access to the Impact Crater.

  • @SurestPlayer

    Indeed, yes

  • When I heard this tune, after defeating Thardus and taking down the Space Pirate research station in Phendrana, I instantly knew shit just got serious.

  • This plays as I stare at loading bars.

    Pretty intense.

  • @LckeStudios Loading bars?

  • reminds reminds me of Torvus BOG from Metroid prime 2

  • When I came back to Tallon Overworld after getting "Spider Ball" (Which is what I think activates the second theme song) I was blown away by the music!

I just stood on top of the ship and listened to the music. Great sound!

  • I beat this game when I was 9, no cheats and no help just me.

Obviously in school no one believe me but I really didn't care.

  • Wow I remember coming back from the Phazon Mines and hearing this for the first time. I was like "Wow, what happened here?"

  • On a scale of one to ten, I give Metroid Prime an OVER 9000!!!

  • @MetroidMasher17 Thanks for using that meme correctly. lol.

  • @xNintendan95x You´re very welcome! XD

  • Every time i here this i get brinstar flashbacks

  • @IcwuDIdthere *hear. Go back to school.

  • I love this game ! I cant remember how much I've deleted it and played it over and over again ! And when this music pops ups, I just wait a lil bit and listen too it !! I give it a 10 !! Its AWESOME!!

  • I think I learned more about biology from this series through scans of organisms and such than in my biology class in school :D

  • @therinator1oncp God Bless Ya Fam!!!!! That's Exactly What I Thought, So No One Can Tell Me That Games Are Only For Leisure, It's Just Another Factor For Learning. SHOUT OUT TO RETRO STUDIO'S & Props To Nintendo!!!!

  • Masterpiece.

  • I beg you Nintendo plz release another game like this with the same crew!!!

  • @Dementcha Yeah, Retro Studios is amazing.

  • @MeDsCP You Can Say That Again!!!!!!!!!!

  • @peterssydney04 Well if you insist. Retro Studios is amazing!!!

  • I like where they give it an awesome beat at 1:38 - 1:46.

  • The thing about the music in Metroid prime was that it made u feel u were actually surrounded by all this living vegetation and organisms

  • @DoubleAIV the metroid prime series is all about immersion. they are some of the only games I would ever consider playing in 3D on a big 3DTV screen

  • cool classic theme !! is one of ma favorite themes fron metroid love it ,!

  • I've been humming this for years now, forgot where it was from, thanks man, awesome track

  • Samus Aryan.

  • isntead of a metroid prime 4 i would really like a super metroid remake but that would take some time

  • @hunterbot1234 But it would be worth it! Make a 3D version of Super Metroid for the Wii!

  • @MeDsCP why not Project Café?

  • @MeDsCP or for the next wii HD that would be something else man xD

  • Someone needs to use this in a dubstep remix...

  • Five space pirates had some bad memories when they heard this song

  • this game reminds me of a time when we didnt go looking for glitches, or tryed to hack into the game. This was a time when you sat down and played with your childsized gamecube controller and had fun. eventually looking up walkthroughs on cheatcc or another cheatcode website to find a way to beat that aggrivating boss

  • @SurestPlayer Yea, I agree. Now, ironically it's one of the games most known for glitching and sequence breaking.

  • @SurestPlayer It really is a shame we all have to grow up and do other things. I haven't played this game in forever but I hope to replay the whole trilogy again and I'm not talking about that Wii trilogy, I mean the original. ;)

  • @ultimategamer505 right on, man.

  • @SurestPlayer Yeah, I know! Cheating/hacking/glitching is fun with ANY game at first, but then when you're through with the game and you think about it, it starts to hit you that you used no skill, and the end result is a feeling of lesser accomplishment. And as with ALL Metroid music, it also perfectly fits its location and idea of what you're thinking as you traverse that area.

  • @SurestPlayer the think is i didnt cheat once and i played the game honestly till the end cuz it ruins the challenge of the game which i so much enjoyed, just my opinion... or mabye i didnt cheat cuz i didnt know how to at such a young age :/

  • @MrMoneymad101 well good for you buddy. I'm proud to say I beat both Mario bros. 3 and Metroid zero mission without cheating once and when I say metroid, I mean beating the game with 100% items and let me tell you, some of those items are so difficult to get, it almost forces you to cheat.

  • @filipinowhiteboy thats great but im just telling you wat i did, it doesnt mean im sayin u suck. its just my opinion that its more fun to play games without cheats, and btw for my defense you didnt specifically say wat you used cheatcc for, you just said you used it so i assumed you used it to get past bosses like the omega pirate.

  • @MrMoneymad101 huh? I think you missinterpreted my comment. I really wasn't trying to be negetive towards you. It was a genuine compliment. A lot of people say video games are a waste of time and for the most part there is some truth to that but at the same time, there is a very satisfaction in completing something without surrenduring to it's difficulty. I was just talking about a few examples that did. Sorry if my comment sounded derogotory. because that was not my intention

  • @filipinowhiteboy no problem and my bad if i misinterpreted ur comment

  • @SurestPlayer cheatcc! memories!

  • @SurestPlayer That's probably cause the games were so vast that you didn't NEED to go looking for glitches to feel that satisfaction of exploration. Games are so limiting nowdays.

  • @SurestPlayer those were the golden years of gaming

  • @MrMousie10 absolutely. diablo2 zelda games metroids etc super smash melee early 2000s had the best games with late 90s.

  • @SurestPlayer I was agreeing with you until you started talking about walkthroughs. If you need a walkthrough to beat a game, then you're only insulting your intellectual level and your brains ability to function in situations where it challenges your very mind.

  • @XxGonixXFAN I must be stupid then because i got lost in phazon mines WITH the directions. lol

  • @SurestPlayer I guess you never heard of sequence breaking...

  • I remember when I first hear this song on the game, i dropped the controller and put both my hand over my mouth and said GOT DAMN!! because i was so blown away!

  • 1:10 damn I LOVE that tune !

    Sends chills down my spine

  • This brings back so many great memories...

  • This song can either be activated by defeating Thardus, or by entering Tallon Overworld from the west side (if you sequence break), where that giant tree is (and Phazon Mines entrance).

  • 5 Space Pirates hate that song =/

  • Anyone ever try to whistle 1:10 - 1:45?

  • @Dominus96

    All the time.

  • @Dominus96 Me. ^^

  • @Dominus96 I try to whistle that part EVERY TIME. Glad it's not just me ;D

  • @Dominus96 i hum ;)

  • @Dominus96 lol I thought I was the only one

  • @Dominus96 Yes, often :P

  • @Dominus96 Ohhh yeah, I love whistling and would do it every time. In fact, I sometimes still catch myself whistling that part years later :D

  • @Dominus96 All the time, and I succeed.

  • @Dominus96 For at least five days after playing this stage

  • @Dominus96 I started from 0:00

  • @Dominus96 the question is who does not try that :D

  • @Dominus96 lol all the time man even the first time I hear it back when the game came out :) I miss the gamecube days, N64 and Super Nintendo days :/ Lets hope nintendo recaptures it with the Wii U but I honestly dont think they will. Though I wont say no to a Metroid game in HD :D

  • @Dominus96 I do that ALL the time! xD

  • @Dominus96

    I can whistle it. :D

  • @Dominus96 In my sleep, brother.

  • @Dominus96 I do, and I can.

  • @Dominus96 i do it each time i play and or hear this song xD

  • If nostalgia had an anthem. it would be this music.

  • when in the game does the song change form the first one to this?

  • @littlejacobhughes After beating Thardus I guess. (The rock golem in Phendrana Drifts, gives you the spider ball)

  • @littlejacobhughes

iirc, it only plays in certain areas on tallon overworld

  • @XMetaRidleyX i'm not sure bc the song at the landing site changed to this, but that could have been bc i was using the prime trilogy version maybe
