  • I have a 1997 f150 4.2L v6, and i have the total opposite problem my oil pressure gauge goes down all the way then jiggles up and down when i idle. I have checked everything expect below the cam and crank shaft and i taken the oil pan off and cleaned, i just dont know.

  • my jeep is doing the same thing, how did u fix it

  • no dude the oil pressure rises at higher rpms. the more the motor needs it the more pressure the pump needs to get the oil to the higher parts of the motor

  • @TrueFear94 your an idiot... your oil pressure does rise when you get on the gas more but only to a point, your oil pressure shouldnt be exceding the limit of the oil pressure guage it should be somewheres in the middle or 3/4 of the way but not all the way.. to high of oil pressure and you will start busting seals and have major problems.. but in this case and in most cases like this its usually the sending unit or possibly a bad ground

  • Hey i got a corsica and i just had this problem. It just started leaking oil from the front of the motor, looks like the oil pressure switch is leaking???

  • bad sending unit? could be a bad ground somewhere.

  • lol this video is almost two years old but thanks

  • lmfao wdf lol

    what car is that?

  • Looking at the gauge cluster, it looks like a Chevy beretta or corsica!!!
