  • Hell , i'm a grandfather now , and our old ex's are grandmothers .

  • la Californie du début des années 60 !!! le paradis sans nul doute !!!!!!!!! et les Beach Boys sans conteste le groupe référence de cette période !!!! des voix magiques et harmonieuses !!!!

  • the simpsons brought me here:)

  • @weirdsleepovergirls0 really wow....no not really. Stop following them and lead yourself for a change.

  • @flahr1 lol wtf.

  • This song was included at the end of the episode Summer of 4 Ft 2 of The Simpsons

  • Summer doesn't last forvever but if you try real hard, you can make a clearing for good times to happen!

  • For some reason I can't play this in America. I've come to England, and can now watch it. $600 well spent.

  • Classic song it should be played every summertime though the whole summer each year.

  • Ahhhhh Beach Boys Melody....Ya gotta love it!!!!

  • Don't let get too deep. That's what this song says to me. Free to have fun

  • greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!! happy hollidays 2011 to everyone!!!!!!!!

  • @gouvyrock Yes. The one that selected this for The Simpsons' episode caught the feeling.

  • a modern lyric would be 'member when I jizzed all over your blouse'

  • @seizetheweakened Try again with a new comment.

  • great song

  • I love the melancholy underpinning of the melody- a sense of regret and loss- like things will never be the same...

  • @saguaroboy EXACTLY. To me that is always what seperated The Beach Boys from the rest....they were very perceptive, very poetic in the sense of the "bittersweetness" of youth, because they sensed that it was so temporary. Wonderfully poetic craftsmanship and sound shaping to get the effect...I could feel it in the song even when I first heard it as 15 years old...and now some 35 years later, I REALLY sense it. ENJOY EVERYDAY WHILE IT LASTS.

  • @gurlsingerfan you are so right, my friend.........this is such a sad song of loss, sounds so innocent and yet its so deep...(George Lucas knew this) .the fade says it all..... we've been having fun all summer long, BUT here comes the shit of autumn and winter. We've been young and free, now here's the rest of our lives.......enjoy if you can Carpe Diem, as they say

  • @saguaroboy - like how this cut is the perfect ending during credits on 'American Graffiti'?

  • .33 - melanoma death.

  • Coca Cola 2011 spot bring me here :)

  • what a disgusting world.... I can't even go 2 watch a youtube video without reading another chapter of racist garbage.

  • I'm surprised that you were able to find a stereo version when there has never ever been an official stereo version of this song relesaed commercially. Tell me man, how did you do it?

  • @mudkipNDS Are you sure? I had some tapes of the Beach Boys (granted, back in the 80s) which were certainly stereo.

  • It must have been a wonderful time in America during the early sixties. I listened very carefully to the song and watched the video and I WAS thrilled that young people were just living the dream back then, (though they didn't realize it) What an imprint the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson hand on this countries history. God only knows Brian, God only knows.

  • How did this sweet, innocent song about summer fun turn into a racist rant. God I miss the old days when people were happy inside and just enjoyed life. Come to think of it, I still keep that philosophy. Enjoy this moment, because that is all you will ever have. Complaing about the worlds problems won't change anything, just create more disharmony and noise polution. We are all the same deep inside. Celebrate that...and stop bitching.

  • @sqweezel Love what you wrote, and so true.

  • "t-shirts, cut-offs, and a pair of thongs, we've been havin' fun all summer long"

I remember when thongs were something you wore on your feet, not your backside.

  • @THB79 Haha, my mom still calls them that and I feel so weird when she asks me why i wore thongs, and she asks in front of my friends. :)

  • @THB79 a "thong"? now thats what it sounds like when someone with a tongue problem tries to say "song"

  • I love the Brian's voice and xilophone sound. This wonderful tune makes me feel happy in a very hot day and every time I hear it. Thank you Beach Boys for all those fabulous moments in summer and holidays. :D

  • is this an alt stereo mix? most versions are fake stereo.

  • I'm gonna OD on nostalgia ... anyone with me?

  • @1960sgirl1 I'm right behind you.

  • All Summer Long was beating on the AO airwaves from Da Nang to Bac Lieu. Anyway, bird crews were banned from playing music due to BCR requirements. But I have always loved that urban bullshit about blaring music in Hueys. XD.

  • People can be racist for a variety of reasons, but the their heart they don't want that so let's just move in the right direction.

  • there are some real racist ignorant assholes on this thread... lamenting on the loss of "white culture..." just typing that phrase makes me feel about 20 IQ points lower. all I can say is THANK GOD!!! if it wasn't for black people we'd still be listening to shit like camptown lady. there would be no bluegrass, no jazz, no blues, no rock, no funk, no rap, and no metal. thank god for black people!!!

  • Remember hearing this song before I went overseas in '66. Innocence

  • redgrapes, America wasn't multicultural, it was culturally dynamic, made up of different ethnic groups that were each American. They expressed themselves in different ways, yet learned from each other. Chuck Berry loved white pop music and his songs reflected it (Ike Turner said you couldn't GIVE Chuck's music away to black people). The Beach Boys loved Chuck AND Dion & the Belmonts. Dion loved r 'n b AND Hank Williams, and Hank deeply loved the blues. Ray Charles loved Hank and country.

  • white culture? fucking weirdo.

  • and Lisa rules again

  • @Blokecameuptome you know, like, whatever

  • Love this song.

  • No peircings or tatoos, baby!

  • This mix is messed up; hurts my ears.

  • I love everything from these guys RIP Dennis and Carl

  • @coolsweetgroovy

so you love them beign manson followers?

  • @ciccicasillas They weren't manson followers duh it' was just poor judgement on Dennis wilson's part don't blame him

  • @coolsweetgroovy It seems some people have read the book "Helter Skelter" about the Manson murders. That is where Dennis Wilson's association with Manson was mentioned.

  • @Rustina61 ok

  • Dennis was the only actual surfer in the Beach Boys.

  • @chawkl1

    and a deprived manson follower

  • awesome , like viagra , keep it up .

  • this song makes me think of an awesome Simpsons episode, probably because, aside from this, it's the only place I'd ever heard it!

  • @TheJabberwock Probably the best Simpsons episode of all time.

  • Arent we all sick of the race card crap! Its overused way too much! You can thank Obama for this mess!

  • One of Mike Love's best vocals and one of the Beach Boys' best songs.

  • A friend lend me this album when I was 13 and I've been hooked ever since. Looking forward to the Boy's 50th year bringing their great music to the world.

  • Reminds me of summers when I was a kid...going to the beach with my family...watching my dad work on his car on the weekends. Now all we do is work on the all week and on the weekends, barely see our kids, and watch America fall apart from within.

  • man do i wish i was there.....now im in hell.... Los Angeles, Mexico

  • This music is the separate version that GV BOX contained, and there is not it in the official stereo version.

  • watch out Aussie your next

  • ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY AMAZING.

  • American Graffiti

  • Remember ... America please remember.

  • Why are the vocals separated from the backing track? Find the mono...or correct stereo.

  • It was cool that George Lucas ran the credits to American Graffiti to this song

  • Amazing how long it seems for only 2:13...songs back then took less time to say a lot more!

  • @Mickagume

Wow, that's one of the best comments i ever saw on you tube!!

  • @dmcguire70 Thank you!

  • Never get tired of hearing the Beach Boys...."I Can't See Enough Of You"

  • Lol, Lisa Rules XD

  • haha "so many women ... so little time" (Y)!

  • love how they ended season 7 episode of simpsons with this song

  • @PhilM662 that turned me onto this song....well played, sir

  • @WillyReed19 hell yeah. great to hear.

  • a true perfect song.

  • What a fun video. I watch it and get all nostalgic about my college years: 1963-66. The girl with the sunglasses at :24 shakin' her twistin' fanny, the couple in the convertible at 1:23 and the girls at 1:28 remind me of the clique I hung out with during that innocent time in my life. We enjoyed great dance music, good food and drink while laughing and dancing away the warm, jovial summer evenings.

    Life is short!

  • @brownies4you Wow.

  • 1945 to 1965 could arguably be the best period of life in American history as it related to family life, national safety, music, and general economic growth. Groups like the Beach Boys, Mamas & Pappas, Peter Paul & Mary, etc. made it that much more enjoyable. Wow, what I'd give for the "old days".

  • @feazel1

you are a drug dealer, aren't you?

  • @ciccicasillas Why yes, yes I am. Not only am I a drug dealer, I also sell illegal guns, and murder people for money. I am a gangster with old ties to the cosa nostra. And on one special day of the year, I deliver toys to all the good little girls and boys throughout the world, except for morons and italians.

    LoL indeed.

I think you need to cut back on the wine a little but dude.

  • Majority white Cali. What happened?

  • too bad Summer's over.

Of course in CA you don't have the cold snowy winters as in the north.

  • Love it.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • How far America has fallen in the past 50 years... this is what White culture used to be.

  • @pk1225 were still great..we just have an abundance of racist ass-holes like you...bitch.

  • @drumphuk Yeah that's true but we also have an abundance of complete dumb shit retards like you, you little troll.

  • @Makonu2 u lose, boy. u lost..20 years ago bitch. yer my puppet. dance...

  • @drumphuk Heh... I always win. You keep playing though.

  • @Makonu2 puppet....pupp...et...

  • @drumphuk Well, nice try. I'll give you credit. You did write two words this time. Must have been a strain on that pea brain of yours.

  • @Makonu2 own u.

  • @pk1225 music oozed and you still feel good hearing it today

  • @pk1225 there is no white culture now-- It has metastasized into an african state of existence in the genre of music, speech, dress , and everything else .-The white man was pulled down and was too weak to recognize, too gulit ridden to step back and too lazy to remain its own culture

  • @redgrapeskins The Beach Boys always listened to the sounds of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Little richard which was classified as 'race music. Mult-cukyralism was always there, it just slowly came to full circle in the likes of Pink, Kid Rock, Lady GAGA, madonna and Eminem.

  • @redgrapeskins The Beach Boys always listened to the sounds of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Little richard which was classified as 'race music. Mult-culturalism was always there, it just slowly came to full circle in the likes of Pink, Kid Rock, Lady GAGA, madonna and Eminem.

  • @redgrapeskins Yeah but the differents between Whites and Blacks are if you walk up to a black and say hey look at the black car, they'll go YOUR A FUCKING RACIST SOME OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then go insane.

  • @14omega28ok huh? that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. nobody would say that. and if somebody did he would be an idiot, not because of his race but because he is a stupid individual. you shouldn't stereotype. and it's "difference" not differents.

  • @mightyafrowhitey I must have been high or drunk or some shit Cause I've never seen my self spell that bad. But Blacks do call whites racist because of every single little tiny thing they say. They do not understand that slavery ended over 100 years ago and equal rights? look the fucking president is "Black" and possibly foreign. So the blacks need to get over this fucking shit about Whites being racist. I'm not racist, I have many black friends and they are all overactive like that. so facts

  • @14omega28ok I thnk all whites aren't racist. I know better. As a Black kid I enjoyed all types of rock and roll, especially the Beach Boys, especially the car songs. I had both Black and white friends in high school and college. Yes there's racism, but you must find a way to get around it and don't label an entire race because of one moron.

  • I'm not racist, as I probably said I have black friends that I have no problem with. But they do call racism everytime I say the word "Black" Like I ask as a joke off a site "Why do Black dudes dig a white chicks smile" or something like that and he started calling me racist, and Ive had crap like that happen many times. its just my experience. The only thing you might call racist is I feel its wrong for one race to date another other race . Buts thats just how I was raised.

  • @14omega28ok It can be hard to get over the things you are taught growing up. But the whole concept of one race dating another is in some ways a form of racism. Different races intermarrying is not bad at all. What isn't a good idea is marrying someone (or not) just because of their race. Though I would understand "culture" which is different from race. Because if you marry someone from a totally different culture it can be difficult to rectify your differences.

  • @andersport Thank you for your intelligent comment. IMO racists should be required to view an autopsy...guess what? We're all red and yellow inside...and our parts are identical!

  • @Poopaloo55 they'll just justify it by saying their innards are of better quality... Pigheadedness is their strongest point.

  • @14omega28ok I think that a lot of black people have unfortunately become racist. When you try to point that out they tell you they can't be racist because they are black, which is ridiculous. In HS some black kids made a white girl sit at the front of the bus and told her, "you made us sit in the back so now you have to sit in the front." But the bus driver (a black lady) told them off. The president being black doesn't mean there is no more racism. (he's not foreign that's just a lie).

  • @redgrapeskins feck off

  • @pk1225 Amen.

  • @pk1225 Even black culture. As suppressed as they were, boy did they come out with some great music. I'm white, and I'd give anything to go back in time to a black dance in the 60's and just groove.

  • @StanBennet What difference does it make what race a person is, I enjoy a wide variety of music that expands decades. From Glenn Miller in the 1940s To James Blunt in the 21st Century I also caucasian. Music has no color it's there for everyone to enjoy.

  • @davidlangzelli Know your history. It made a big difference in terms of culture during that period of time. Your comment is misplaced.

  • @StanBennet You're entitled to your opinion I was just making a comment. I know the history I am 65 years old I was there in the era. I am caucasian I had many black friends back in the 1960s I went to dances with my black friends I enjoyed the music as well as the dancing. I even met my wife of 40 years who is black. We have 5 children we taught them they're the best of both worlds. It's not about one's skin color but what's in the heart. Your comment about black music, I've already been there.

  • @StanBennet Wanting to go to the past to enjoy music period is not a bad thing if you were not born in the era. I'm sure you will find it exhilarating there was lots of good music to enjoy back then. Not to put music down of today. I was in my 20s in the mid 1960s I like music by Glenn Miller I wonder what it would be like to go to past to see him perform. The first line in the theme to All in the family is Boy the way Glenn Miller played. The character was refering to the era of Glenn Miller.

  • @davidlangzelli i mean i was a teen in 1986 lolz... i was born in 1968

  • @StanBennet Wanting to go to the past to enjoy the dances is ok if you were not born in that era. I remember how things were back then but I never let the racism, prejudices or the opinions of people influence me. I'm caucasian and I went to dances with my black friends I met my wife who is black. I was in my 20s in the mid 60s I like music by Glenn Miller from 40s.I wonder what it would be like to go to the past to see Glenn Miller perform. So I understand, but there's a way of saying things.

  • @davidlangzelli i was born in 1968 and was a teen in 1968 and it was STILL frowned upon by some assholes to dance with someone "not your race". Me being a white boy and dancing with my black girlfriend in 1989 was still frowned upon by BOTH black and white ppl! i'm like WTF?!!! this is 1989!!! So sad! I remember some ppl at my school even gave me shit for having mostly Mexican-American girlfriends.... ignorant asses will never learn i guess! :(

  • @StanBennet Fuck you! This aint "Dirty Dancing"!

  • @dkthg Have another beer!

  • @StanBennet Only if you're buying Mr. Swayze!

  • @pk1225 "white culture" ? what are you trying to achieve by being racist?

  • @pk1225

yeah, all about lsd, orgies, and charlie manson followers, thanks god now it is different

  • It's just a fucking pop song with shots of Beach Boys having a good time, you morons. It does not in any way sum up some kind of "white culture" from the 1960s. There's pop or art, and then there's reality. Understanding that is part of growing up.

  • @pk1225 "fallen" what exactly is that supposed to mean???

  • @mightyafrowhitey

When this song came out, gang rapes were extremely rare. And no American cheerleader was forced to cheer for the thugs who assaulted her or be kicked off the squad

Nobody was murdered for their shoes

People had a right to hire who they wanted, and we didn't pay over 60% of our income to a government that is actively destroying our way of life

People smiled and laughed a lot more

'nuff said. If you can't see how far we've fallen I don't know what it is you're looking at

  • @pk1225 as far back as you want to go, there have always been old fuckes who thought life was better "back in the day." every generation has always thought theirs was better than the one after them. and who knows, maybe things were better back ikn the day, if you consider conformity and sexual repression good things. and oh yea, as long as you aren't black... or a woman.

  • @pk1225 and another question, what do you mean by "our way of life?" and how is our government actively destroying it. who is "us?" do you mean white people. because I may be a white guy, but I that doesn't mean I'm one of you.

  • @pk1225 Don't tell that Eminem

  • @andersport this is far from rap dude...

  • @pk1225 Don't tell that to Eminem, Lady Gaga or Pink.

  • @pk1225 Agreed.

  • @pk1225 in some part i agree with you :)

  • @pk1225

Come to think of it a lot of black American music has gone down the drain. I really hate r and b and dumb baseball capped rappers talking about how tough they are.

  • @Glenn1967ful

ye what we call black music such as rap and hip hop was really quite good up until the late 90's

then morphed into sell-out mainstream pop

  • @pk1225 Well, let's not fool ourselves and pretend everything was neat and tidy during that era, either. What you hear in that sonic landscape is an idealized montage of the past. Still, good music; great band.

  • @pk1225 no, this is what California used to be. I think the south sucked major cock at that time.

  • @pk1225 Good times, yes

  • 1:22-1:23 did u hear 'the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire'?

  • t-shirts cut offs and a pair of thongs!

such fun and innocent times. Being a rock star in the 60s and your twenties. In the beggings of sex drugs and rock n roll!!

    fucck yeah!!!

  • WHERE WERE YOU IN '62?

  • this band started a WAVE of surfer music, they made history...no bands in 2010 aregoing to ever make it to that degree of genius......thank you for such great memoires!!!!

  • They chose the perfect song with this to end that classic movie - American Grafitti. Soooooooo right for it. Great song - makes me feel nostalgic even though I live in dark, wet little ole England. Go figure!

  • There is not it in the stereo version, and is this a separate version?

I think it that there is not it with the stereo in a true meaning, but how do you think?

  • how bout this end of the summer song now that schools starting!

  • That's what's missing in music today -- great harmonies.

  • No other song reminds me of such an innocence time. A time of care free summers and the water. Thanks for posting.

  • brian was a friggin genius.

  • Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!!

  • The Mono is better

  • great song

  • back when people were slender, before the porky people were born!!

  • One of their very best, thanks.

  • Beautiful music

  • Comment removed

  • Perhaps their most underrated gem.

  • Love it, Love it!

  • This could not have been recorded originally in stereo because the Beach Boys never recorded in stereo. They felt that recording in stereo took away from the artistic sound that they were trying to achieve. To this day, all Beach Boys songs that I have listened to through a stereo sounds the same on both channels. If I am wrong, someone please correct me!

  • @cooltool40 I was actually referring to the mix on the Good Vibrations boxset. The original is in mono, yes. This /version/ of the mix was intended to highlight the vocals and the melodies, I should've said. And the Beach Boys did mix in stereo after around Friends/20/20. Some tracks on those albums are mono, some are in stereo. After that, they pretty much restricted themselves to stereo, like the rest of the music industry. Although, I have heard stereo bootlegs of the earlier era.

  • This is a pretty poor stereo mix. It was never intended to be a true one, though. More to highlight the vocals and the melody

  • @tehmaster690 This could not have been recorded originally in stereo because the Beach Boys never recorded in stereo. To this day, all Beach Boys songs that I have listened to through a stereo sounds the same on both channels. If I am wrong, someone please correct me!

  • God, I love this song !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, great photo montage. Makes me want to grab a surfboard and just ride the waves all day--if only I knew how to surf. Thanks for posting, traderfiles!

  • Great song with ridiculous lyrics.

  • sweeeeeeeeeet :-)

  • saaweeet

  • LOVE, LOVE, LURVE this song & the BB! Where did you get the cool video footage? I really enjoy seeing the CA beach, surfers, and cool kids hanging out in the 60s. Thanxs so much for posting--i have it saved as a favorite.

  • why does this shit suck through headphones..... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!....dope video though

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • These were "real" women back then.

  • @Auggie56

    Oh, shut up. "Real women".

  • @hedonism13 I struck a nerve....LoL

  • I LOVE This Song So Much !!! ... :)

  • Great California Summer life

  • dang, this is like those crappy Beatle's 'Stereo' versions that just separate the vocals and instrumentals.

Amazing song though! Thanks for the upload!

  • what is that sound that sounds like a zylaphomne? come across it before.

    is a special guitar trick
