This is some very nice picking Darryl. Did you learn this from tab or by ear? I'd love to give that arrangement a try. Really enjoyed listening, a must for my favorites. Thanks for sharing your talent and good words. Mark
What's even more amazing is that Merle Travis played this song with only 2 fingers on his right hand. It's nice that you added a few new chops to make it fresh.
Thanks! My 94 Pro Jr used to hiss pretty bad when I first got it. I put in a new set of JJ tubes. Also I read somewhere that you can change the polarity by quickly "blinking" the power switch. This definitely helps in my case. Maybe it gets better with time.
Loved the intro it was spot on. Note by note. Overall a good performance but I think you were slightly nervous. No need. I like the fact that you didn't rush this classic. What tabs did you use?
Intro was from a Richard Smith tab, I used a lot of different videos and tabs to piece my version together. No nerves on this one at all, I don't like Cannonball Rag too fast, I like Merles tempo.
Sorry my mistake. What pedal is that. I think I know what sound you like which is similar to mine so I would strongly recommend the T-rex reptile delay pedal.
Hey, can you give us some notes on what gear you are using? I like the tone. Amp and settings? Also, I've seen a lot of Cannonball Rag tab out there and I'd appreciate it if you could point me to whichever book may contain the version you just played.
I'm using a Gretsch 6120-1960, a Visual Sound H20 echo into a Holy Grail Reverb, to a Fender Pro Jr amp. I peiced my version from a lot of different versions. Thom Bresh, Tommy Emmanuel Chet and Merle, and Richard Smith.
Nice playing Darryl.

Very nice, love the tempo too. Is that a Fender Pro Junior? My Pro Jr humms a lot, dunno if it's just mine or not.
