  • Dragon :D!

  • Send it back to where u ordered it, they will get you a new.

  • I got mine a few weeks ago. Its started to doublle press keys, letters S mainly or in some cases not register the keypress. I'm so annoyed, I vowed never to buy another razer product again yet I went for this.

  • how long have you had it for and how much typing did you do on it?

  • i sent mine back cuz of the space bar and got a new one in return.

  • @weijie63 yes but does it work now or is it still broken ? im having second taughts on buying this -_-

  • @715th yes it works perfectly now.

  • it seems like the only one it happens to are the ultimates, also is it not affecting when clicking in the center? cus i always hit keys right in the center and i really wanna buy it. could somebody PM me?

  • i own the black widow (non ultimate) and the spacebar is very very close to the alt keys it is a wonder they dont touch.

i think the problem with the ultimate is the "rubber" surface of the keys which makes them a little bit larger and beacuase of that they touch when pressed.

  • ugh my problem is with my Black Widow Ultimate right alt key and sometimes my tab key, they get stuck down but the key comes back up like normal so then my computer goes haywire because the keyboard starts doing random ass shit, anyway to fi this other than trying to clean under keys?????

  • I have the ultimate as soon as they released. this kb rules! This crap happens. TY razer for giving us an affordable mech kb with illumination. My only gripes are make the io (usb hp. mic) on both sides of the key board (not just the left side) so we can use them regardless of the position of our cases. Also the soft engineers should write a soft that the razer mice can TALK with the razer kb. for example I have a death adder black ed. and a BW ultimate and I want to point a key to mouse

  • well your not supposed to throw this shit at the wall, i know its mechanical and all but that doesn't make it invincible

  • same amount of time with no problems from day 1. They are great products and I've been very happy with them so far.

  • To everyone complaining that the keyboard (and Razer in general) isn't reliable: I agree that for the price of this keyboard it shouldn't have this issue, but after sanding down the edge a tiny bit it works perfectly and you won't even notice the missing paint unless you go crazy and decide to sand the entire side of the key instead of just the edge. I've been using this keyboard for 4 months since sanding down the key and I've had no problems. I've also been using my Razer Mamba mouse for the

  • I just got one, and idk if they changed how they were made, but currently I don't have any problems like that :)

  • just mod your keys a bit

  • razer is crap. most of their products are defectives and doesnt last longer than cheaper gaming accessories..

  • @bungeegums That explains why they have so much success!..

  • @Michaelmop the reason they are successful is marketing and gimmicks. their product looks goods but its a no no for me..

  • @bungeegums Well your statement in your first comment is bullshit, so..

  • Just bought one yesterday and the number 1 key gets stuck. This keyboard was to replace the horrid Lycosa razer. Should of stuck with my logitech G15 but wanted a mechanical keyboard this time around. Can't even remove the key...odd.

  • Can't wait till all the keys catch onto your spacebar.

  • Had the same problem, just have to run a sharp blade between the space bar and right alt key to remove the smallest amount of material. Was very pissed myself to find this in a $120.00 keyboard but the solution was simple enough.

  • I've been using my SteelSeries 6GV2 for 6 months with no problems.

    Go SteelSeries.

  • whyCant,I,press,the,goddamn,space,button,and,the,page,up

    FREEKIN,KEYBOARD

  • lol it looks like they keyboard is collapsing

  • If you look into the gap of the blackwidow between the space bar and the alt keys you'll see a little bit of plastic jutting out. Try dislodging that and see if it works.

  • i loled too... damn bad luck...

  • If I ever invested in a mech keyboard I would expect it to last for at least a few years.

  • maybe you should stop jizzing all over your keyboard and the keys would stop sticking. problem fixed :D

  • I have a Razer Lycosa. The paint eventually wears off the keys, (YouTube it). I used the product support forum on their site, got myself a trouble ticket more than 2 Months ago. And not a single word in reply. I've contacted them a number of times and not 1 word from them. Their product support is non existent. I imagine the same will happen to your black widows. I hope you have better luck with product support than I have so far......It's a joke. Don't buy Razer!

  • I Have used Razer/Steelseries Products all my gaming life, [to play games legit, incase you know me as a CSS Cheater..] but for some reason, I feel that razer has always put out flashy and really cheap quality hardware that, don't get me wrong, performs well. I was extatic about them releasing a glowing mechanical keyboard, to go along my New steelseries one for night play, yes I am that much of a nerd, so I was expecting quality. But no, razer yet again fails a release of product because of bad

  • @RoflmaoStudioz Analysis and Test of their final distributed products. And for some reason, My issue didn't stop at the fact that the alt/control keys are getting stuck, half the LED's would flicker, and it would disconnect from my usb port on and off, No the usb port was fine because my steelseries and old membrane would connect with no issues. Sadly, I feel that razer is just a gimicky company that got a lucky break and got really popular. Most people who are just starting gaming go towards

  • @RoflmaoStudioz The flashy and "described" product. Razer describes a function such as Polling rate, as ULTRAPOLLING^ which is again, just another ploy. Steelseries has begun to use that kind of way to sell thier products, and indeed it has worked for both Companies. In conclusion,If I were you, I would steer clear from razer products on thier initial release, Steelseries seems to have MINOR bugs that can easily be fixed by simple user made, or software that is produced from their Company.

  • How come you just don't pop the space bar off? YOu should be able to, most keys can just be taken off safely and put back on.

  • I've also had this problem since day one, had it for roughly 2 weeks now, just 5 minutes ago yanked the Alt key off and replaced it and so far it seems like a different keyboard, I used to have to check my text every 5 seconds to see lines of non spaced gibberish but now seems all good, still, for the price I expected better, will def reconsider my love of Razer products.

  • Another update for me, since I yanked and replaced the effected Alt key the keyboard is fine, odd that it happened in the first place but that was all I had to do, removed the Alt key then replace, voila, perfection, very nice keyboard to type on.

  • is it just the spacebar catching with the alt keys? Seriously if anyone wants to go with good quality mechanical keyboards and stay away from the tacky lit up keys, go with the Filco boards. I mean what good does it do other than to bother you with the LEDs when you're gaming? Go with the better quality ones and not Razer.

  • @watduzhkstand4

In fairness to Razer the keys are all individually lit unlike most keyboards where I imagine you get a few led's lighring the whole board underneath every key on the Razer is an led.

  • @devlinX

I know that instead of having a resistor on the Cherry switch itself, they use an LED which serves the same purpose. However, my previous comment was only suggesting getting keyboards from a different "brand" because they have different QC even though they are most likely from the same OEM somewhere in Asia.

  • @PkmnCardCollectorDX I think there so much people that have this problem that Razer should announce a recall on all of these defective keyboards.

  • Iam glad mine doesnt have a problem like this.

  • It takes off the black paint, but since it's on the bottom edge you can't even see it without taking the key off. I tried like hell to get the spacebar to catch on it again but it won't no matter what I try. The keyboard works perfectly now.

  • @Calimar777 o nice! I think i will rma this one and if i still get the same issue im going to just do what u did. thanks for the advice!

  • @Calimar777 dude can you explain well how you did it ? because i'm from italy and my english is not so good

  • @TheRevolutionPlayer Remove the ALT key (I did this by twisting a paper clip into a U shape, putting it under the key, then pull up), use sandpaper on on the bottom edge of the key, put the key back in place. Problem solved. Warning: This will remove some of the black paint on the key you sand. And do not remove the spacebar.

  • I got sick of its crap and didn't feel like going through the pain of doing an RMA, so I said to hell with the warranty and removed the alt key and filed it down. It worked perfectly, so if you haven't returned it or fixed it yet I highly suggest you just file it down. Pop the alt key off (don't take off the spacebar, it's a much bigger pain), take an ordinary nail filer and file down the bottom edge that the spacebar catches for about 30sec.

  • That's ridiculous. I just got mine literally 2 hours ago and it's having the same problem. I expected a lot more from a $130 keyboard. If you're past you warranty or don't want to RMA it try taking off the spacebar and sanding it down on the sides and let me know if it works.
