  • Folks, quit ya argueing and listen to the goddamn song! It don't matter whose song version is best, they're both as good as each other! Just SHUT UP and LISTEN! -_-

  • Again, boy who did his ~research, it isn't a COVER since it was never RECORDED and it was SOLD to LAMBERT out of Bellamy's catalogue. DUH. You must be a C- student.

  • @glamswarm

it was never recorded..? so what are we listening to?

  • This is actually an old muse song from 94 re-created

  • seriously, I thought as a Muser you aren't supposed to listen Adam Lambert, only good music (sorry for bad English, it's not my native-language)

  • The beginning piano part reminds me alot of United States of Eurasia...

  • I get why people are confused about whether it was written for Adam Lambert or sold to him or whatever (however, I agree that Muse wrote it for BHAR but decided not to put it on the album) but I don't get how people think this isn't Muse. Listen to it!!!!!!!! It is Matt!!! Only Thom Yorke has a voice that close to his and it sure as hell isn't him!!

  • who gives a shit who actually made the song? just listen to it... its a great song!

  • I am sorry about MUSE don`t sing it. I can`t say anything else.

  • This song is amazing, the piano is a great addition and has great flow, adam lambert did an electronic version that sounded like shit, Muse is the original writer of this song, flyyer8 obviously your not a real lambert fan or muse fan so shut the hell up and go listen to your mainstream crap.

  • it reminds me of Matt's work on the International (that film) for some reason

  • I really don't understand why Matt didn't put this song, but also songs like Eternally Missed on an album, or just a single like Neutron Star Collision....

  • It sounds like United States of Eurasia! ....well kind of!

  • they shouldnt of given it away this is fucking amazing.

  • Love Muse, Love Adam, Love this song. The end.

  • @coltonredwine no problems :) glad to be of some help :) i know so much about muse t's scary... :-P

  • just because Adam do this song more better than Muse thousand times :-)

  • Even better than Undisclosed Desires

  • Intro reminds me USE

  • matt bellamy sings it better imo

  • @littleshrimp97 Have you heard Adam's Glam Nation Live version? Vocal perfection!

  • when i first heard that Matt wrote this song i couldn't believe it because it's such a dramatic and "different" song from what you hear from Muse. i couldn't "hear" Muse in Adam's version.. but then again, Adam is known for doing his own thing with songs ie: Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. Now that i've heard this, i can hear it all. and i love both versions. damn two of my fave artists, one song... happiness

  • This music is better than Adam's. I'm actually surprised he took the drums/percussion out like he did. He seems more apt to add percussion when he's reworking a song. Thanks for sharing.

  • Love the lyrics

  • wouow... i lvoe it.. jeje yeah.. kreo k esta mejor esta .... jeje ILOVE IT:::♥

  • @ryannkotler88 what full album?

  • 57,000 views. This needs to be a download

  • nice song...

  • I like Adam´s performance but... MATT BELLAMY FTW <3

  • @BellamysPlugInBaby lol I LOVE your username =]

  • The opening piano riff is cool, but I don't love the rest of the song. I'm sort of glad they didn't include it on Black Holes and Revelations.

  • If Matt wrote it, then it's a MUSE song! Period!

  • this song was recorded and written in 2006 by muse, but was too late to be included on the album black holes and revelations.

the song was COVERED by adam lambert. this song is originally muse.

    i have done my research.

anyone who doesn't believe me should have a look around the officiall muse site.

    though continuing this,

adam lambert does now own rights to this song.

muse sold it, because matt bellamy thought it was unlike muse's style. arguments may now cease. :-)

  • @lekzeyjkwilson1992 Adam didn't cover it, Muse "gave" it to him. It's only Muse's demo, it's Adam's song. But obviously Matt still gets the rights and stuff. Either way, both versions are stunning.

  • @TheLambertFan123 agree ! this is like a gift for Adam !

  • @raeliannguyen exactly!! They're both amazing.. Duet would be amazingggg

  • @TheLambertFan123 i've researched it. in five different databases, muse SOLD it to Lambert.

  • @lekzeyjkwilson1992 either way-Matt wrote it and Adam sings the non-demo one..

  • @lekzeyjkwilson1992 all i'm saying is that it's NOT a cover.

  • @lekzeyjkwilson1992 You have no idea how relieved I am to her that it was one a few years ago. Everything I'd seen said it was an "unofficial" release after The Resistance. I was horrified because I had no idea what to expect of their next album. Reading this and check Muse's site has calmed most of my fears. Thank you, sir. Thank you.

  • @lekzeyjkwilson1992 a-fucking-men. and Adam did an amazing job with it

  • im pretty sure it was recorded as a demo for 'bhar' as stated earlier in the comments, muse referd to it in the video for the making of 'united states of eurasia'..they said it sounded similar,at least i think it was this song dey refered to!ya adam's version is better, but if muse didnt write it,adam wouldnt have it so..MUSE FTW!!

  • Matthew you sexy beast.

  • Comment removed

  • Something is not right with this song. @flyyer8 is right, its not Matt voice and his singing type. The true fans of Muse have notice this.

  • @mindaugas49ccm this song arrangement maybe not so match with matt voice.. and thats why he want adam lambert sing this song..or maybe this songs is made specifically for adam by matt.

  • Adam's performance is better :)

  • @Lamberciara LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL are you really serious?

  • @BIGpav018

if they were, i'm sure a Muse fan already ...well...took care of them :D

  • @cilalany let's hope so :P

  • @BIGpav018

    XD yeah.

  • Muse wrote an good song. IMO, they did well to let Adam Lambert record it. It needed a brighter-sounding voice to keep it from being quite so morose. Every song is not for every singer. No harm done.

  • @blicknproud

For me Matt's voice is what brings out the desperation which is 'in the lyrics', there is no need for any brighter sound :) This song is not bright and cheerful, and that's why I like it.

And I really tried to like Adam's version, without any success.

No offence though, it's just my personal opinion.

  • Both are beautiful singers. I prefer Adam's version.. well just because.. He's able to reach into my entire being with his style of singing.. something no one has been able to do before. I just feel it--when Adam sings, not just a listening experience... its a transformational experience. I think that MUSE chose Adam to sing this song.. simply because they knew he'd sing it beautifully. Thank you MUSE! Great performers/ and great writers want the best for their works-they seek it out.

  • The first time I heard a snippet of this song from Adam's album I knew it was the track Matt wrote because it has Matt's sound all over it. I refuse to get into the "who does it better" war because they are both great. Matt is a genius musician-his distinctive vocals, his incredible songwriting, he's a virtuoso at multiple instruments, amazing! I was a Muse fan before I knew of Adam. I adore Adam's voice and especially how he sounds live. There is room in the world and my heart for both.

  • I much prefer Adam Lambert's version of this song. This rendition is soporific.

  • I love this song. I prefer this version to Lambert's album version. However, compare this to any of Adam's acoustic versions, and it's a tie for me. Muse I worship btw. Matt is a fantastic songwriter/singer/performer.

  • This version would cure insomnia.

  • I love Muse, but no one, but no can sing this song the way Adam Lambert sings it. Adam is beyond magnificent singing Soaked. Adam's voice is beyond compare and his performances of Soaked are beyond description. Check out the record, better his live performances if you do not believe!!!

  • This song isn't so bad. The faster piano bits are really awesome actually. The slower parts kinda remind me of Cheers haha, other than that it's a decent song. I don't really know why it was given to Glambert, but whatever I guess.

  • WE HAVE TO FACE THE TRUTH ..... MATT IS WAY BETTER THAN ADAM

  • Comment removed

  • @5h401 Neither one sings it better. They have different vocal renditions and both are beautiful in my opinion.

  • Love this song and love the art! Tell your girlfriend to keep making more art, it's great!

  • You idiots, this song is written BY matt TO adam lambert who already have released the song. Now someone, probably a moron, have taken this song, added a couple of instruments and claims that this is a "unreleased song", well hate to break it to you, but it's NOT.

The real one is called ADAM LAMBERT - SOAKED

Muse doesn't make this kind of crappy music, real musefans would have known.

  • @flyyer8 Well done for finally catching on that this was wrote for Adam Lambert. We all know the real song is Adamn Lambert. Chill out. This was a demo given to him, relax.

  • @musefan2004 this song was written shortly after Blackholes and Revelations was released, during the drafting for The Resistance (2006, to be exact.) Therefore, there was no way it was written just for gay-ass Lambert, cause in 06, nobody knew who the fuck his gay ass was.

  • @flyyer8 this is the song that Matthew Bellamy composed/wrote for Adam Lambert, so it is still Muse's song, but Adam Lambert sings for it. No need to get all mad about it. Somebody did alter the voice in this particular video unless Matt decided to sing for his own composition.

  • @Vashcoon

This song should've stayed on the Resistance album when they were making selections. why did they remove it?

  • @flyyer8 are you stupid, when this guy put up the video it was 11 months ago, when adam had not released his version yet. And yes this was written for adam but Mnay think this version is better because Matt wrote the song, he relates to the lyrics better because they are his, and the song has more power and emotion in it. And i am a true Muse fan and i still like this song, theres nothing wrong with it

  • @flyyer8 The song was written around 2007. Adam Lambert wasn't even around then. Instead of standing up for Muse you've just insulted Matt Bellamy even if he did write it for Adam he still wrote it.

  • @flyyer8 Excuse me! Matt wrote this song and obviously demoed it and the song's hook is the same as Thoughts of a Dying Athiest which he also wrote, so IT'S NOT CRAPPY! I'm a big MUSE fan so there...

  • @flyyer8 You are right. This song was originally written by Matt and was later bought by Adam or actually with his producers as he had a lot of collaborations in his hit album. Just to clear up that it was actually written by Matt in 2003 but he decided not to put it in his album as it was "not the sound of Muse" that was Matt's words. Adam actually asked Matt permission to use that song in 2007 or 2008 I'm not sure. Adam is a huge fan of Muse.

  • @flyyer8 I am very sorry but you cán hear that this is a muse song. It is nót crappy and you are offending a lot of people right now.

  • @flyyer8 wrongo. this is Muse. They wrote the song, decided not to use it and gave it to Adam

  • @flyyer8 lol you are completely wrong. The song was written and recorded by Muse with no thought of Adam Lambert. It was then DONATED to Adam. Many years later.

  • @flyyer8 it wasn't written for him you dumb shit, it was recording during the BHAR sessions and they choose not to include it because an early version that they finished after the record came out. When "Resistance" was being recorded they gave it away because they thought it sounded too much like USoE...asshole

    P.S. - this isn't a bad song, you're just gay

  • @flyyer8

Apparently, Muse does make "this kind of crappy music". Just listen to United States of Eurasia or the Exogenesis Symphonies...

Everything with of Matt's work and with his voice in it is awesome. He would even make "Old MacDonald" an awesome song!! XD

  • @jajajeomaiskaal

That's exactly what I thought! And to flyyer8 a REAL Muse fan would have done her research and then opened her mouth. Real fans love anything Muse writes and won't call it crap. So, obviously, you don't know what it's like to be a true fan.

  • i heard they're gonna take a break from music after the tours in australia.could this be on the new album in 2011

  • Is anyone else just punch drunk over how awesome Muse are?

  • Hmm.. didnt realise that they actually played this song.. I heard that Matt wrote it for Adam Lambert

  • @ByFarAndBeyond - Yeah, he did write it for Adam Lambert, it's on Adam's CD... weird. But whatever, if Muse is doing it too that's even better, Matt's amazing. :D So is Adam, almost similar even... love them both! Matt's not as creepy so that's good but then again Adam is way hotter.. not that that really matters at all but yeah. xD

  • He is still the only pianist I love. IMO!!!! There have been alot lately. But none can compare... ALl artists bring their flavor.

  • 8 days to go, and than i see em!! :D

  • I WANT HIS PIANO. IT HAS SHINY LIGHTS. <3

one day i will play bass clarinet in I Belong To You for them.... one day ^_^

seriously though nothing beats these guys :D

  • this is just pop shit. Muse used to be soooo good. but the times of stockholm syndrome, new born, plug in baby & co. are gone..

  • I agree. D: I died the days they ended.

  • @daveinthegarage i see your point, they're becoming a little too soft lately for my taste

  • @daveinthegarage Regrettably... *thumb up* :( this is unoubtedly brilliant, but what the hell happened to Muse the Motherfucking Rock and Roll Gods????

the thing is that Bellamy now writes all of their material, and he wants to get seen on the clasicaly scene, so here we have the result :'( </3 on the other hand, Assassin was pretty much written by Chris and Dom, with comparatively no input from matt, and it's fucking epic :D

  • no other band can give me goosebumps like these fellas !

  • 2:13 Anyone else hear a bit of "thoughts of a dying atheist"?

  • yeah, love the picture too

  • sorry to go against the tide but i would like muse to get back to there roots slightly, i.e. a little less piano and teenage angst and a bit more of a raw feel to their undeniably superb sound.

  • Love Muse!!!!!!!!!

  • This song was given to Adam Lambert - It's on his 'For Your Entertainment' album......:-)

  • why was this song written for adam lambert?

  • @thenewdoc it wasnt written for him, just the label gave it to him

  • why wouldn't they release it as a single? It's really a beautiful song.

  • Another beautiful MUSE song! Thank you.

  • <3 <3 <3 <3 I wish they released this :'(

  • see where like USoE kind of comes into it . fantastic song wish they put in on a record maybe not resistance because the sound a like with USoE but b-side maybe ?

  • Wow. Muse is AWESOME!!!! This has a beautiful melody AND lyrics! Mathew Bellamy is an INCREDIBLE song writer and he made the right choice in giving it to Adam Lambert. Adam did GREAT things with this song. It's was SO awesome for me that my favorite band gave my favorite singer a song. I love both versions. :)

Whoa, it almost sounded like Dr. Seuss uo there! o_0

  • @kenzoi Yea ok there both great bands, its just you know what music's like man you alway's end up comparing without even realising your doing it.

  • muse is the best, no one could preform this better

  • lovely

  • All tasks are complete, may I please have the link?

  • this was a song Matt wrote for Adam Labert, who also performs it perfectly

  • Matt didn't write this for Adam Lambert. The song was written and recorded in the black holes and revelations era back in 2006. Adam lambert just covered it.

  • at 1:15 it's sound like unnatural selection, this song is a great mix

  • WOW! Very chilled out and I could definitely have seen this fitting in on The Resistance. Reminds me of Endlessly, one of my favourite less known Muse album tracks.

  • hopelessly, I'll love you endlessly

  • @cul8erinnovator MUSE!!(:

  • @cul8erinnovator totally agree. Adam definitely took it in a different direction though.. same yet different and amazing. nice to hear the "original" ;)

  • And you are welcome... ("over 25,000 views...")

It is amazing, which is probably why it has so many views! xoxo

  • I love it, definitely a worthy B-Side. Love the orchestrations. MUSE never cease to amaze me!

  • It does have the United States of Eurasia/Hoodoo feel about it! Could I please have a copy for my b-sides collection? I can't believe I've been out of the loop :)

  • Lovely song - can I have the link, pls?

  • nice 5/5 when is this song going to be released? can i please have the link?

  • The vocals in the chorus sound similar to unatural selection...hrm, good tune though!

  • same chord progression lol (2:14 - "they'll laugh as they watch us fall")

  • The strings in this song tie in so wonderfully.

  • I like this :D

Can you please send me the link? :)

  • Adam Lambert recorded this his debut album.

  • I was gonna say :P

Matt Bellamy wrote this for him or something like that

  • To Adam? Or to himself? :P

    But the link? :D

were do I get it? :P

  • Muse recorded this to include on their 2006 album black holes and revelations but upon completition when mixing realised it didnt fit in with the flow of the album, so they decided not to include it in their album :)

  • Really Really good song

  • Why didn't they release it...This B-side is ... Awesome.

    Subscribed,rated ... Could i get that link , thank you?! :D

  • i love this song, and you can really tell that united states of eurasia stemmed from it :D also, would you mind sending me the link? ty

  • They put the bad songs to the A side :S

  • sick!

  • Awesome song!

  • great song, can u please send me the download link?

  • could U send me a downloadlink? Please :)

  • Yeeeeah, Twilight, that's a useless idea. Fortunately Muse know that.

  • OMG this is awesome! I love how they have such a wide range of songs...

  • they are genuius and they all are soo talented and very funny people i love everysingle one of their songs except execution commentary lol

  • They may not sell as many records as some overated artists, but quite simply, no-one can get close to Muse

  • @pudrick1 Try radiohead pal, far superior. Before ppl say uk not again but come on muse are good but to say no one comes close when radiohead are clearly better in every deparment.

Anyway this is a ok track, i like all the strings there going for now, Finally a bit of originality.

  • This is a great song, as usual with muse! :-)

If you could send me the download link, it would be very nice!

  • If whoever wants a download link could please subscribe to me, rate the video and comment it, i'll happily send a download link to them. :)

    nice blackmailing.fag.

  • pues no tienes ni idea, y de simple no tiene nada creeme

  • I would say its more like blackholes and revelations era, does anyone now when it was recorded? maybe at the same time that hoodoo

  • It was recorded in the BH&R era according to Matt

  • thatd be terrible

  • Every one has their own opinion.

  • @TwilightPhantomXmcr Are you mental? It would be awful!

  • @TwilightPhantomXmcr worse idea ever

  • hey, i'd like that link. how'd you find this anyway?
