I have HTC Mytouch 4G and my sister has the Captivate from AT&T. I have 2.2 she has 2.1. Between those versions, I don't find the need for an update for first time android users since there are so much features in android and even without 2.3 update won't hurt your needs. I personally like the samsung's H/W build (camera quality,display, music) over my HTC mytouch. But myTouch runs faster and slicker UI (HTC Sense UI).

No TRUE Official Flash 10.1 from Adobe

Outdated Screen. (Super AMOLED is the way to go)

I have the IPAD now but only the 1st 2weeks I was so excited but I had the chance to see & use the GALAXY TAB & its a very solid Tablet ( advance hardware than ipad, then the quality is SO GREAT, you can root & do everything in it soon by help of XDA & lots of android guys)

3 things ONLY IPAD has on it ( Much bigger screen but not as portable as the tab, it has more applications then IT HAS APPLE LOGO)
