  • So, it looks like this answers my questions as to whether Damascus steel could be made at an open forge. Very cool. By the way, what are you using for flux, if you are using flux? Borax? And what parts of it do you flux; do you do it between the pieces of original billet, or is it needed there at all?

  • Sorry just saw your message about my hammer in.

    You definately need flux I use 20 mule team borax avalable in the deturgent section of your grocery store.
