I have to commend the first two panelists - Dr. Nayyar and Raza Rumi Sahab. Given the toleration levels of the powers that be and the existing atmosphere of bias and violence, it must be overwhelming for most and require a lot of courage to openly say that the school history books are so skewed and blatantly lie.
Even in India, there are forces that cannot tolerate an alternative interpretations of some over-elevated leader (Shivaji, the maratha warrior king, for instance.. or his descendants)
@thejaybansal Nayyar is actually a hindu punjabi surname ... these are people who got converted to Islam under the threat of sword of muslim raiders. ... there so many such surname you will find in Pakistan ..some of them like Sethi, Cheema, Malik, Choudhary etc..
In our history book, we haven't written that we had war with Pak and we won. But people of India knows that we had a fight and we won. War is not right and we don't promote wars in our text books, it'll just spread hatred in young school kids. This is not right from Pakistan point of views.
Kashif bhai, you are really a commendable guy. Because unlike most, you are not indoctrinated and you don't live in denial. I myself believe that self-criticism is the greatest form of learning and the only way to progress.
