In the west communism is defined as socialism which is totalitarian. Communism is a anarchist society there is no state but collective resource system., and there has never been a communist society. Let me guess, you're referring to Stalinist Russian and China. Neither country were Socialist countries. All one would have to do is read the Communist Manifest then see if either fits. They don't. They're usually referred as "state socialist", but bare zero resemblance to the ideas of Socialism. Both countries are not repressive state-capitalist countries, like the US. Originally it was about MC's complimenting themselves while simultaneously dissing the mixing skills of their fellow MC's. So mainstream modern hip hop is actually very much what hip hop was originally meant to be. Rappers insult other people while trying to convince others of how hardcore or 'gangster' they are.

The people should democratically control the resources that they create. This would be communism. Some of the arguments for anarchism are very close to right-wing laissez-faire capitalism arguments. If people join together in and organization to stop exploitation, that's a government by the people- but still a government.

Actually, the true communist ideology is to have a governement(the dictature of the proletariat)only to organize society to eaz the transition to a state without governement.
