It's great to see that we still do make something here is the US! Have you been to an Auto Parts store lately? Everything is made in taiwan, mexico & china, all junk! Although I think we still make the Cocktail umbrellas, not sure though.
Thanks for posting this. I bought a freehand a little bit ago after calling the Gerber folks and confirming that it was assembled and partially manufactured in the USA. I think it's really important to support American industry, and I refuse to buy any knife or multitool that is not made in the USA. I prefer the items that are made by American companies and assembled by American workers with parts manufactured in America. I do, however, settle for a subset of these things when necessary.
@thesho0ter1911 I bought one a year or so ago after talking with reps from the Gerber factory and confirming that it is assembled in the USA and that some of the components are manufactured in the USA.
Wow, I almost learned something watching this video... But not really. Why post something that doesn't add any value, insight, recommendations, or at least names of the blades?! Sorry guys, I appreciate the video coverage... but I gotta keep it real!
I'm pretty sure that my Gerber fast draw or whatever it is called is NOT made in the U.S.A. I have an old Gerber Gator knife that has it stamped in big letters on the blade, MADE IN USA.
I know what you mean, so when we had a few models that we were doing videos of that were made here I figured it was worth doing a quick video to mention it
Yeah but it's just such a shame. Last week my dad and I conducted an experiment and went through some of my tools. Only like 2 of them were actually made in the US. We don't make anything anymore, and if we do, the price is too high for the average person to buy.
Is the Gerber FILK made in the USA?

@ 1StepTooFar
Feedback is always welcome, rudeness can be left elsewhere
First, if you took the time to notice there are individual videos for everything in this video
Second, not all Gerbers are made in the USA, We wanted to point out a few that are made here
Third we make videos of what WE are interested in, then we post them for others.. is that "Keeping it real" enough for you??
If you don't like our tastes or our videos, you didn't pay for them and you are free to leave
